Thank you, mine was early action as well. You should be getting an email from Catholic really soon. Good luck!

early action at catholic is automatic if you are complete by nov 30th...i think. there's not a box to check it's just auto. they render a decision by "december 14th"....

yeah. i just called the office to see if they were on schedule to have all early action decisions by the 14th. the lady said, "Yes. We're finalizing the decisions today and mailing them tomorrow." What the heck? USPS? Why do they have to be so mysterious!!?

Catholic Waitlist
Wednesday, June 13 2007 at 08:00 PM

Hi. I received a letter sent in the regular mail. It said I had been waitlisted, and had a form I have to fill out to stay on the waitlist. It recommended that I send additional letters of recommendation, as well as a follow-up essay expressing my interest in Catholic. Last year they flat out rejected me, but I retook the LSAT and bumped my score up 6 points...My gpa is low, though, and there is nothing I can do about it since I have been out of school for 6 years. Oh yeah, the letter also said that they sometimes wait to pull people off the waitlist until school starts, which makes it not an option for me, as I have been accepted into a higher ranked school that I will need to move to a different state to attend. I am still not sure what to do about the waitlist. I might just let it go. Good luck to you!

CUA, Today?

Hm...wish I knew exactly how "low" sike's gpa is. Like you, I'm afraid! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and me!

Hey I'm so sorry to hear about Catholic. I guess I can expect mine tomorrow. I don't know why it didn't make it here today. I was waitlisted there last year. And, they'll tell you right up front you won't get any financial aid...so, it just makes it hard to stick around and wait on it.

I'm still wondering what the heck is up at Suffolk. ha. Maybe someday we'll hear something that's a real decision, not just a waitlist or deferral. I'll keep my eye on ya! Have a great holiday.

Hey I applied to Cleveland mid december and just heard back yesterday 1/22 in a thick envelope. Good luck. I can't imagine you'll have a hard time, our scores are similar and I'm just your average middle class white guy

Yay!

Thank you for the kind words. It is surprising, especially considering this is my second year applying to UConn and last year, after being rejected, I met with an admissions dean to review my application. She told me I shouldn't have even bothered to come--all I needed to do was submit my application earlier... so next time around I submitted it on the second day they began accepting apps. I think I should be personally exempt from paying any taxes that go to support that institution from this point on. Good luck in the cycle--it looks like you have a nice wide range of schools.

Me too.
Sunday, August 19 2007 at 08:00 PM

That's exactly how I feel. I need some more, but I will go to my only choice if that's what I have to do to start this year. I made a rule that I wouldn't apply to anywhere I wouldn't want to go if it was my only choice. I'm ready to get started, now just waiting on the rest of these folks. Crossing my fingers for ya'!

I believe I\'m not a usual case, because instead of patiently waiting throughout the end(which is what waitlist really means as others say), I emailed the admissions committee on my time issue. You see, I\'m an international applicant and I\'m worried about time enough to handle US student visa application process, so I asked if the law school has any advice on this. Admission committee replied that they would give me decision on my wait list in one-week time. They did via email as I asked them via email, and the email title read as \'release from waitlist\'. I quote from the eamil \"the response to our offers of admission has been greater than anticipated\", by this, I assumed that the class is full, which is not a safe assumption I know, but not a positive prospect for those placed on the waitlist.
