I will probably retake the LSAT and apply again next year. I might also try to get an internship in something related to government laws.

thanks for the nice words, the LSAT kind of messed a lot of things up for me and even knowing very influential people who know Deans the only thing that has kept me out is this test

hey

UNLV

hi. unlv is a great school i loved the campus. parking was never a problem if you are happy walking a bit. i never had trouble with any professor and the students are wonderful. I have heard great things about the law school, it is not very old but it is a perfect fit for a lot of people. I was told that the law students are pretty competitive since the school is young. best wishes to you.

i took a four-week kaplan course to improve....if you can afford the money/time, consider taking the longer course and perhaps an individual tutor. the folks at kaplan mentioned they typically see a "7-10 point increase" for second-time lsat takers. best luck to you

I tried to email you but it was returned undeliverable. At any rate, I don't have very helpful advice. Practice a lot, set aside a lot of time to devote to studying, and find those PowerScore prep books called Logic Games/Reasoning Bibles or something like that. Good luck.

I went up from a 163 the first time around.

a bit of (unsolicited) advice

I agree with LALAW; taking the test again will have virtually no repercussions. Many schools are taking the higher score, and others have a conditional policy--they'll take the higher score if you improved by a certain number of points. I would recommend buying the book published by LSAC. It has 10 real tests in it, but no explanations. It was easier for me to figure out my own tricks to answering questions rather than read Kaplan's ideas on how to answer the questions. Good luck!

its still not too late to take the LSAT, take the Feb test and you may do even better, your still going to get in somewhere with what you have no matter what, but if you take it in Feb and do even better before decesions im sure youll get in to one of your higher choices!

How did you get so many fee waivers? Was it through LSAC?

Congrats!

Congrats on Capital! I was just wondering how long it took for Capital to request your LSAC report.

Wow

I cant believe that someone would take the time out of their life and schedule to harrass someone on a website. This is just sad. I mean I know racism exist, but why go out of your way to bother someone. I am sorry that you had to experience that. COngrats on all of your acceptances. I am also glad you took some chances. If you are not going to get in, you might as well get rejected doing so, rather than reject yourself. Thats how I feel. Be blessed with the rest of your admissions cycle. Im sure you will get one surprising acceptance.

Capital

I just got home from my Capital tour and interview. Good school! It was worth the 7 hour drive. If you haven't been up there yet, I think you'll find the environment really unique. Columbus has a lot to offer. Capital looks beyond numbers and seek people with unique backgrounds. The school is about creating well rounded attorneys, and has the 2nd best bar passage rate in the state last year. From my experience Penn State Dickinson is pretty closed minded and in a very conservative area. Looks like Capital gave you a great deal too! They still haven't requested my LSAC report, and when I went they told me that there's a bit of a backup on application reviews right now. But Im crossing my fingers and seeing what happens. Thanks for responding!

So is that where you're going to go? I'm sending in my deposit there and one other school, so we might be classmates!

Congrats...
