Letter from California Western came in the mail. Accepted!!

Status from Chapman University - In review!

Waitlisted at Chapman University - no surprise.
But I'm still hoping for good news. I would definitely go to Chapman if they accept me.

Accepted into Willamette University with a $14,000 Scholarship. Disclaimer, scholarship continues all three years if I maintain a 2.9 GPA and up.
Problem? I wanna practice law in California (love the weather), and rainy days in Oregon aren't too appealing. Decisions.. decisions...

Started Cal West in January 2010 for Spring, withdrew after receiving acceptance from Willamette.

Rejected from Loyola University and University of Pacific. Though Pacific did mention they would re-review my application if I took the LSAT and scored higher. (odd!)

Waitlisted at USF. Bah! Must do I can in my power to get accepted...

Accepted to Golden Gate through Honors Lawyering Program along with $30K scholarship distributed throughout the 3 years. Disclaimer - must maintain 3.0 to continue scholarship. Bah! Considering this school but hesitant because of its not-so-great rep in the bay area. Possibly hard to find a job?

Praying for Seattle University *crosses fingers*

Decision rendered and mailed out from Southwestern University School of Law. Please... please... please... good news. I'd love to go live in Southern California!

Recently waitlisted at Whittier. Received an e-mail today stating I am removed from the Waitlist and accepted Whittier in their "Summer" Program. Debating. This school is ranked like GGU and WUSL, so seriously, what's the point of paying sticker? At least GGU and WUSL gave me $$.

Rejected from Lewis and Clark and Loyola.

Still waiting for USD - though it's a stretch.

Don't let an anonymous person on here, especially one that refers you to JDunderground, shake your confidence. Right now the market may be not so hot, but WHAT JOB MARKET IS? If you can see 3 years into the future, then maybe you don't do the school thing. if you're set on being a lawyer, go to school and kick butt. People that are hanging around JDunderground are just bitter, and it's a far more biased site than you will find anywhere

did you get a decision render on 2/8 from USF? If so, did you get any email from them today saying you been accepted?

Saturday, October 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

Goodtobeking: I received snail mail from USF today stating I've been placed on the waitlist... sadness! Did you get accepted?

Hey, Haylie I got your message regarding GGU and sent you a long message. As a sidenote to anyone looking at T-4 attrition rates the main reason for high 1-L attiriton rates at T-4's is due to transfers. GGU and other T-4's do not have a mandatory cut. You can look at the student handbook of GGU and see that 90% of the class can get an A or B and there is no mandatory D's or F's. Everybody can pass and after first semester everyone in my section is still there.

Congrats on HLP!

Congrats on getting in to the HLP at GGU! I applied there too, no word yet :( Anyway I hope the rest of your cycle goes well! Good Luck!

I am sure you will hear something soon. Good luck!

no I don't think I'm going to goto Golden Gate. They ma be offering a lot of $$....but they're reputation isn't good at all....and I don't think I would get a job after graduation. That's what also worries me about USF...its hard to compete for jobs with Hastings, Cal, Stanford, and Santa Clara all around here!

Saturday, October 24 2009 at 08:00 PM

thanks everyone! @ Phoenix: You've already been accepted to AU! That's a good school, definitely better that GGU? Which schools are your first choice? @ Bigs: I got your message. Thank you! That's definitely helps with my decision making! @ ir856: I understand your concerns, those are the same ones I share. But at this rate, with my numbers, I'm taking what I can get and making the best out of it. I'm not interested in big law, so ranking isn't that much of a concern.

good luck w/ SW

hey there...just wanted to drop a quick comment to say good luck w/ sw...i also have the "decision mailed" status on my status checker for sw. I'm a bit nervous now to check the mail...lol.. congrats on your other acceptances ....btw, i deleted all negative anonymous posts. I get them from time to time but they don't phase me so don't let it get you down when people post stupid comments on your wall like that.

Luvtoolearn, Did you get into SW? G'luck! I hope it's good news for you. As of right now, my two decisions are GGU or WUSL. GGU seems more appealing cause after law school, I'm looking to practice law in California. But then again, WUSL has a lower living cost. Ideally, I'm hoping to get off USF waitlist.

Monday, January 25 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hey, haylie thanks for the comment on my page right now I sent in a deposit to Golden Gate but I am waiting to see if I get off the wait list at McGeorge, since I live near Sac and I would prefer to work in Sac.
