-Loyola NO rejection letter was the best yet, it questioned my character. Awesome!

-4/12/07 Mailed in my seat deposit at Ole Miss, will be going there unless I get into SMU, but I wont find that out for a few more weeks.

-4/18/07 Deferred...then finally rejected from SMU today. Sad but it also makes my decision a little easier.

-5/4/07 I just received DU's Bar Passage rate for Feb. 2007. ONLY 53 % OF FIRST TIME TAKERS PASSED, AND 36 % OF REPEAT TAKERS PASSED FOR A TOTAL OF 44%. These type of numbers really affirm my decision to go to Ole Miss, the cost to education ratio is amazing!

-5/12/07 My cycle is complete, I went into with the goal of being accepted to 20 % of the school which I applied, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Ole Miss here I come!

Did they offer any reason as to why they rejected you? Did you have any extracurricular activities?

When did you hear from St. Marys?

Sometime at the begining of Feb. all my letters are send to be my parents house, so I don't know the exact date.

I didn't read the letter the so I am not sure what their reasoning was. I don't have that many extras, I was a student athlete during undergrad, and worked full time through my masters.

You should hear any day from them, if not, then wow thats a joke! I see you applied in October as well. I was just going crazy because SW is my #1 choice. And i dont even know how I got waitlisted at USF considering their #'s. Lots of weird stuff! GL anyway

Oxford is a great town with a lot to do, but I suppose a lot depends on your interests. Make sure to check out The Square which is where all the bars are located, especially City Grocery, which is, so I've been told, where the law students congregate to tip back glasses. Other than that, I would also recommend checking out Rowan Oak, which was once William Faulkner's home and is now owned by the University. As for the new law building, I believe that ground will be broken early next year and will not be completed until after we've graduated. Any other questions, let me know and feel free to email me if you need anything.

Ole Miss Visit

Just saw that you decided to attend Ole Miss next year and wanted to say congratulations. How was your trip to Oxford?

Ole Miss

You're right....Ole Miss is a solid choice. If I get off the waitlist it'd be hard to turn down, especially w/ the out of state tuition and new buidling on the way.

Loyola NO

Email me the language from that Loyola letter. It sounds hilarious. Congratulations on U of Denver, btw. Great school.

Ole Miss Ranking

US News & World Report is severely biased against Southern schools. Schools in the bottom 50 on there up north aren't even well regarded. Southern schools offer some of the best education and you have good legal markets. Well I don't care about the US NWR anyway its regional reputation that counts. Ole Miss is a great school. I'll be going to Samford unless I get off the waitlist at Ole Miss you can't beat the tuition dollars. Loyola NO rejection letter sounds weird you must have had a weird personal statement man or some dubious character violations.

Facilities = $$$
Thursday, March 01 2007 at 07:00 PM

I don't give a crap about the facility. Yeah Samford had prettier/better facilities than Mississippi College that I visited but that means $$$ out of my pocket for a legal education. For what you get Samford looks a good price although they are all very high. With the ABA's emphasis on stupid stuff like extra study space no one uses, a new student/wellbeing center they are skyrocketing the cost of a legal education.
