12/05
- Received LSAT Score of 155. Very disappointed. I had been scoring in the Mid-160's on my diagnostics all along.

01/06
- Rejected from Hastings via online status check. Letter arrived about 1 week later.
- Made the decision to retake the LSAT in February. Informed all schools of the decision. Most schools (except for UCLA and Boalt) said they would defer making final decisions until the Feb scores arrived.

2/06
- The hard work pays off. I took the February LSAT and received a score of 164! From 65th to 91st Percentile.

- Loyola has requested an explanation for the jump in scores... LSAT Addendums sent...

3/06
- Got my first acceptance from Cal-Western. Two seperate envelopes arriving on the same day. One from the Dean, the other from my assigned Admissions Counselor. I qualify for some kind of scholarship and the committee will send me that info in the coming weeks, even though the first seat deposit is due on April 1.
- Accepted to Whittier. Awarded the Dean's Scholarship Award. Covers Full Tuition for my first year. Renewable.
Predictions:
Case Western yes
Chicago Kent yes

Sorry to hear about your Hastings reject. Our numbers are pretty similar, but I'm still holding out hope. I'm hoping that my work experience and single extra index point put me in. Nice imporvement on the LSAT! Hope that it helps you at some of the other schools.

Good News

Hey buddy...There's no doubt in my mind that this is an instance of yield protection coupled with applying late. Our LSAT/GPAs towers over the vast majority enrolled there. McGeorge is ours for the taking if it's a top choice; call, explain the situation, that if accepted you will go, and they will most assuredly take you off the WL. The situation is the same for me with Maryland...preferred WL, they want me to show interest that I'd go if accepted. Which I don't want to do, until I've heard from most LS's.

I also recommend you apply to more schools. Some have a deadline of April 1st, while some others have a *suggested* deadline of March 1st, so you could still apply. With your stats you can get into a much better school than Cal Western. Another recommendation I have is that, in addition to your LSAT addendum, you ask/plead that they use your top score instead of a combined score. If they say yes, that would help your cause tremendously. Then you would have stats very comparable to mine, and I'm in at a T1 =)

Congrats on the much improved LSAT. I also scored about 8-10 points higher on the practice tests than my actual. I wonder what the difference was? Nerves maybe. Anyway best of luck with law school in the fall.

good luck

seems like we have similar stats and we both got rejected from the same schools you'll probably get accepted to USD! good luck

Just saw you post your waitlist at USD. It was looking so positive with all the acceptances but such is life. I think I might opt for the day/evening option but still not sure. Good luck with the waitlist...such a bummer with the weekend right around the corner!

USD WL?
