Really phenomenal LOR

i know, i know, i'm casting a wide net.

12/11/07: Accepted at Pitt! It was a regular envelope with 4-5 pages of paper inside, held together with a fancy Pitt Law clip. The assistant dean of admissions even took the time to write me a note at the bottom of my letter saying, "Fantastic letter of recommendation! We would love to have you at Pitt Law!" I'm so glad that my first letter was an acceptance!

12/12/07: Accepted at University of the Pacific, Mcgeorge. It was a large envelope with a brown folder with tons of materials enclosed. The assistant dean of admissions wrote me another personal note! "Your strong sense of community and service to others is impressive. I have recommended you for a Public Service Scholarship. Stay tuned!" I was also accepted with Honors at Entrance, which covers the cost of all course books for the first year.

12/13/07: Rejected at Georgia by online status check. Their status check sure is harsh.

12/14/07: Accepted at DePaul! It was a large white envelope with an enclosed stuffed folder.

12/14/07: Deferred at UC Hastings by email :(

12/16/07: Received a letter from University of Pittsburgh stating that they are awarding me with a scholarship of $12,000 for my diverse background. It is renewable for my second and third years of law school.

12/24/07: Received a letter from University of the Pacific stating that they are awarding me with the McGeorge Public Service Scholarship of a renewable $10,000 per year.

01/04/08: Got into University of Denver by email.

01/15/08: Accepted by Iowa by email!!! They said that my official acceptance letter was in the mail and will arrive in a few days. I just got into the highest ranking law school that I applied to!

01/16/08: Waitlisted by Loyola University Chicago by mail today.

01/17/08: Deferred to regular admission by Northeastern by mail today.

01/19/08: Waitlisted by Temple by mail today.

01/22/08: Rejected by University of Houston by mail today.

01/25/08: Accepted at Baylor today with the Dean's Academic Excellence Scholarship which covers half tuition for all three years!!! I'm still leaning toward Iowa though.

01/25/08: Accepted at Case Western this morning by email.

01/31/08: Received all of the Case Western documents, including a $200 travel grant for checking out the campus. Pretty cool; I'm tempted to use it just to see Cleveland.

02/04/08: Accepted at Seattle University this afternoon by mail with a $7500 trustee law scholarship for first-year studies.

02/05/08: I was rejected by Wisconsin and deferred by Chicago-Kent today. I'm not too worried.

02/11/08: I was rejected by UW by mail today. I'm not the least bit surprised but it still hurts. They were one of my favorites.

02/25/08: Waitlisted by American today by mail.

03/04/08: Rejected by Cal today by mail.

03/10/08: Rejected by Davis today by mail.

I've paid the deposit to Iowa so I won't be updating this section anymore. Good luck to everyone who is still deciding!
