I'm not too surprised that I was deferred. I guess it just gives me a chance to write a why i love georgetown letter to the admissions committee!

For Penn I sent the Why Penn and an updated transcript. I applied to so many schools without knowing the difference, now Penn really is a top choice. For Harvard, I am still debating. I'll probably supplement with some sort of Why Harvard essay as well as updated grades from last semester as they are obviously still high on my list.

You have a lot of schools to choose from, too! I am so overwhelmed by this entire process. I didn't expect to have the choices that I have. I think that I'm leaning towards Harvard, but I'm definitely waiting to hear from Columbia. If I get into both, I'll visit both and then decide. (I'm so scared that Harvard kids are going to be the type who like to say they go to Harvard...)

I received a letter from harvard on 01/15 saying my application is on hold and they will let me know my status sometime in the indefinite future. Good Luck.

Hey, I'll definitely go out to UMN, but I've promised myself that I'll do it when it's still cold, so I can get a feel for how frigid it really is. And you? Is it in the running with Cornell or UCLA?

its still in the running but only because I have ties to MN. Still its a great school and I've been impressed with them so far. You should definitely go when its cold to get the full effect. In the summer its beautiful, in the winter... It might be good though, gives you more of a reason to stay inside and study!

and congrats on all of your acceptances. I am having a tough time thinking about Minnesota and Notre Dame, and am planning to visit both. Are you leaning towards any school as of now? Best of luck with the rest of your apps.

Thanks for the congrats on the U of MN admission. I'm from MN, so it's good to have an option close to home. As for the admitted students days, I am definitely going to attend. I went on a tour and sat in on some classes and an info session at MN in November, but I definitely want to learn more before I make any decisions. I'm not sure which session I will attend though, but I will let you know! Also, congratulations on all of your acceptances!

Hey, Congrats on all of your acceptances. Any leanings as to where you'd like to go? With all of those lovely waitlists, it's probably hard to decide. Just curious how you heard you were waitlisted at Duke.
