Re: Minn

Hey Mike. Thanks for the words of encouragement on my page. I hope it does work out in the end, I really like Minnesota. You know, I thought the point of applying early was that it's an advantage to get the application in when they aren't sure what their class will look like....guess that is down the drain with a deferral. Oh well. To answer your question, my letter was dated 12/9. Let me know how it goes for you. Good luck!

thanks

don't remember if there was a complete email from Pitt. The acceptance came in an email though. Congrats on Houston!

Hey - I saw your note about Pitt. I gave them a call to see if my appl. was complete. I didn't get a letter or email or anything. Before I got into GMU, Pitt was my first choice (out of the schools where I thought I could get into). Good luck! You have good numbers- an especially awesome GPA- so you should get into some great schools.

and a 3.91. Hats off to you. UIUC's loss. Congrats on CW, American, GMU and Houston. Those are great options thus far. -MJ

on some great schools. i might see you at one of them year after next. i don't think i have much chance at many of the schools on my list, for next year anyway. i'm trying to set the stage for my 2l transferr. have you considered case's jd/masters in biochem? i think you can do either the research or straight lecture version. good luck with the rest of the apps. oh, almost forgot: that gpa is SICK!

hey,

thanx for the congrats. i'm shooting for either case or some school in illinois. there are so many ip firms in chicago. case would give me more national options with the masters. i would love to have a tough decision! i can really see you getting into berkeley. they are #1 for ip. gw would be awesome too. i didn't apply there because dc is just so expensive. did you know that mason is close to the uspto. now that's better than a firm job 1l or 2l. so what do you want to do with the jd?

this is like a clerk-ship for patent agent/lawyers. it just looks great on the resume. you also will have relevant experience under your belt. it's not unheard of that students get high-paying work pt at firms as patent agents. just something to consider.

Thanks man...The big hitters are still to come. If I had known GW would come through before Christmas I might have taken a shot at HYSCCNN.

NICE JOB!

Yeah, I think it's pretty funny too. When I first found out I was on the phone with my mom and I was sort of mad about it. But I knew I wasn't going to go there anyways so I quickly decided it was just really funny instead. I love the town which is the only reason I applied. Well I love Pitt's QB too, but can't base my decision on that. I'm sure I'll enjoy whichever law school I end up choosing (if I can ever pick one) better than I would've liked Pitt anyways and I'm sure the same is true for you!

GW?

Are you going to GW most likely?
