All scholarship amounts are annual except for Chicago-Kent, which includes a first-year-only supplement of $5000; $4000 of the W&M amount is essentially work-study money, while the other $10,200 is out-of-state tuition waiver.

Northwestern eventually offered $15K for each of the second and third years, but nothing for the first.

UTexas sent receipt email 12-10-05 with status checker login info; status checker shows me as "complete" as of that date, but LSAC report was not requested until 12-13-05.

Notre Dame does not send out complete notifications, nor does Washington and Lee.

12-14-05 - I am at decision status for University of Virginia; status checker indicates that I should "allow 7-10 days to receive the letter."

12-19-05 - Acceptance from UVA; also holiday card from George Mason indicating a decision should be made on my application by January 30.

01-10-06 - Email invitation to the University of Illinois admitted students open house. I guess this means I'm an admitted student... [update: acceptance letter received via USPS later that day]

02-06-06 - Held at the University of Chicago; optional additional essay due March 3, 2006.

02-21-06 - I am at decision status at Georgetown; status checker indicates that I should receive the decision letter "within a week to ten days."

02-22-06 - Held at Harvard.

02-25-06 - I'm on the "Preferred Waiting List" at Georgetown. Letter indicates that they've had an "unprecedented volume of highly qualified applicants," and that I'll be "one of the first applicants we will contact in the event of an opening."

03-29-06 - Withdrew from Loyola-Chicago and Washington and Lee

03-30-06 - Withdrew from William and Mary

04-02-06 - Withdrew from George Mason and Chicago-Kent

Good luck to you and Skaiser, both! Since you both beat my LSAT, I'll be interested to see when you guys start receiving acceptances from some of your top choices. Any idea on when splitters from previous years heard anything back? Hard to find anything like "data" on our kind of numbers.

I too

Georgetown?

Thanks for you additional info, it is excellent. Are you using the status checker for Georgetown? I'm curious if they follow the same pattern as Virginia. Congrats on your acceptances.

Withdraws
Sunday, October 23 2005 at 08:00 PM

Thank you. I haven't withdrawn anywhere because I genuinely haven't elminated any school from consideration; several of the schools I've been admitted to haven't made scholarship/financial aid offers yet, and that will figure heavily into my decision. I hope to have the picture cleared up a bit over the next month or so.

Good Luck with GTown

Hoping Georgetown treats you right, us splitters are holding our breath for you.

MIAC

Just wondering if you are also in the MIAC?

MIAC

Once upon a time, yes. I'm older than I once was, but younger than I'll be (that's not unusual), but when I was an undergrad my school was, in fact, in that esteemed conference.

UT?

Just wondering how/when you heard from UT. I applied in December, haven't heard yet.

UT

Sorry - I put the decision date for UT in the "Complete" field. I got an acceptance letter via USPS on March 9. My application went in on November 9, so I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard yet.

Congrats

I want to congratulate you on all of your acceptances. I would request, however, that you withdraw from any schools that you do not plan to attend since many people are on waitlists. Thanks, and good luck with everything.

Congrats
