Additional info & updates

4/28: But wait...there's more! Stanford waitlist today. I will re-withdraw.

4/26: I'm going to Yale! Sent in my deposit and withdrawals on Thursday. My cycle has been everything I could have hoped for, and I feel incredibly privileged to have this opportunity. I'm so excited for fall!

4/23: Withdrew from Stanford in advance of an official decision. (Unofficially, it doesn't look like they were going to take me.)

4/21: Hello, LSN! It's been ages. How are you? That's good. In the past couple of weeks, I've visited both Harvard and Yale for their respective ASDs. Both were pretty awesome, and I should have a decision within the week. When I decide, you'll be the first to know...after the admissions officers and, like, my mom.

2/18: Some days I kind of feel like admissions committees are reading these boards. Some days I REALLY feel like admissions committees are reading these boards. For all interested: I have my current leanings, but I'm definitely still undecided.

2/17: And two days after the deferral email, in at Yale! Ahhhhhh sweet mystery of life at last I've found thee...
And the tough choices get even tougher.

2/15: Got a too-positive-to-be-a-deferral deferral email from Yale. Feeling pretty happy about it and hoping that it doesn't mean I'm almost certainly waitlisted.

2/11: Came home to a thin envelope from Yale...college. Breath was quickly regained.

2/6: Withdrew from Chicago (pre-decision). Makes me a little sad, but I think it's the right thing to do.

1/24: In at Columbia with a Hamilton! Wow.

12/22: Got the HLS binder in the mail, a parody of the 'thick envelope.' The short personalized note from TS made me smile.

12/20: Yale, you complete me...at least today you did.

12/18: Finally got the actual letter from NYU. It's printed on beautiful paper.

12/13: In at Harvard! Rock.

12/11: Breathless phone call with TS; hope it went well enough....

12/07: Email from Dean Stock, woot woot.

12/07: I've heard non-vicious rumors from reputable sources that I am in at one school...when I hear official word, perhaps I'll update with the story.
UPDATE: The story. Apparently I'm not alone in hearing from NYU via my alum Dad, so I guess I'll go put this up as a decision. (Yep, I'm still not complete, but I'm admitted.) Very exciting!

11/27: I'm all in. Let the good times roll.

11/13: I applied to law school! Still working on one app.

I love your EC info statement. I definitely feel the same way...though there is something very satisfying about seeing SOME numbers, even if you know you shouldn't trust them! Good luck this cycle. :)

Congrats, missy!!! Can't say I'm surprised in any way, but that's still spectacular. Think I can sneak in inside your luggage? ;o)

Congrats!

Thanks!!

for the good wishes!! I actually heard back from CLS today too, although they won't be as generous with their $$$. A full Hamilton, holy cow! That'll be really hard to turn down...

Congrats!

on the Hamilton. Are you tempted by it, or are you leaning towards Harvard? I'm trying to see what others are doing, because I'm so conflicted!

Hamilton/HLS

Oh gosh..I've literally changed my mind three times in the last day. Money is a huge factor for me, however, so its really going to come down to the quality of my visits to the schools and Harvard's financial aid package. Let's pray they are generous with their grants :).

Thanks!

Congrats on the Hamilton! That's fantastic! These schools and their penchance for making decisions complicated... Any leanings at this point? It's SO hard, having not visited/seen $$ packages...but it's fun to make in-my-mind spreadsheets of pros and cons. (Dorky, I know!)

Thanks!

Yeah, I know what you mean about lots of varying factors pulling in every which way...my particular "area of law" interest/possible concurrent degree screams "Go to Boston!" but it's sort of unclear whether that's the best option. So many choices! (I feel like the economists who talk about paralysis of choice...)

Me too...

Got the weird Yale e-mail.... I wish I felt as optimistic as you... but still, I think the worst part is going to be waiting.

Congrats!

On Yale!

Congrats

I'm in the same boat with H/Y/C w/ Hamilton. I'd be curious to hear what you're thinking...

A hearty congrats!

Well deserved - I think we need to stage a science/engineering takeover of Yale :)

So, I got the same deferrel e-mail as you did, and then I had the forsight to lose my cell phone. Since I have no possible way of knowing if I get called, did you get an e-mail along with the phone call or just the phone call? I'm wondering since I otherwise need to get in contact with Yale to arrange another way of finding out. Since that seems extremely presumptious I'd rather not... Thank you

Very unsure

Elements of all three are tempting. I'm probably leaning slightly Yale right now, but the rush still hasn't quite worn off. I think visits will be the deciding factor.
