chiashu stats to the left of the schools (though i can't believe that my chance at penn is about equal to my chance at h-bomb).

fee waivers as above, including some others that i wasn't interested in. also duke PT.

dates:
Sent: when i hit "SEND" on the LSAC website
Received: when the school requests my LSDAS report
Complete: when i am notified i am complete
Desicion: when i hear a decision

good luck to everyone this cycle.

11/11: PS DONE! not touching that bitch anymore.
11/12: LOR #1 in!
11/14: LOR #2 in! now i can apply!
12/01: trying to decide whether to apply to yale or not. so busy with school i'm not sure i have time to write the 250. maybe i'll do it over break. also have to write the "why penn" and i'm now considering applying to mich after hearing such great things about it. it might be a nice option to have.
12/06: e-mailed duke asking about the status of my app after the hacker deal, and found out i went complete 11/30... which means i'll hear by tomorrow! suddenly, i am nervous and wishing i had written a "why duke" essay... i think i have some legit reasons.
12/07: i'm going to law school!!! in at duke!!!
6:02 - HARVARD CALL E-MAIL. so excited!
12/09: while procrastinating, i decided to check my georgetown status... i'm at decision since 12/07. wow, this is all happening so fast.
12/11: just got off the phone with toby stock. i think it went pretty well. now i just have to hope i get that second call...
12/12: got my georgetown acceptance in my school mailbox! exciting.
12/13: in at harvard. total shock. didn't even go complete. wow.
12/14: complete at harvard. did i dream yesterday up?
12/18: watched the paper chase and in the middle of 1L. fully immersing myself in harvard material, though trying to keep an open mind... when is that binder coming?
12/19: received a package at my school mailbox from NYU, but i can't pick it up because i'm at home. i'm assuming it's an acceptance... i doubt they would send anything else in large envelopes. i'll have to wait until mid january to confirm, but for now, i'm marking it as an acceptance. i never even went complete! yay!
12/25: decided that i wasn't applying to yale or penn. yale would be a waste of money, and i don't think i'd go to penn over the other schools i've been accepted to, despite the fact that i love philadelphia and penn in general.
1/9: in at uva with a "dean's scholarship." will find out exactly how much in march. exciting!
1/10: columbia requested my fall grades... eesh.
2/4: received a package from columbia dated 2/1. my decision checker is still at "complete."
2/6: in at uchicago via phone call from the dean. she was really really nice. SUPER excited about chicago. they're one of my top choices.
2/14: in at ucla! glad to have an option on the west coast.
4/28: officially going to harvard! hooray!

Good luck with finishing your personal statement, and with all your apps. I'll be pulling for you.

Good luck to you too!

I don't really understand it, but I'm not too worried (yet) Good luck this cycle!

Thanks!! Yeah, I'll probably withdraw from at least some of them after break. I might wait on a couple to see about scholarship money though. I'm 99% sure about Harvard, but not 100% certain.

Thanks
Saturday, June 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

for the congrats. Once you talk to Toby we need to hit up Cambridge!

Yo
Thursday, September 13 2007 at 08:00 PM

The animals will totally get you in everywhere :) Best of luck!

UVa
Thursday, September 13 2007 at 08:00 PM

Yeah...I visited there last week, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I'd probably be willing to compromise most of my morals to get in. You should probably be at Yale though, you deserve it!

Haha
Saturday, June 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

In your extracurricular info, where it says "Lots of work experience (some legal), it sounds like your other work experience is under-the-table, illegal stuff. Were you a bookie, perhaps? Some type of low-level mobster?

That'd be cool...
Saturday, October 20 2007 at 08:00 PM

...I agree with Alex, if you had mob experience, you'd be in everywhere for sure. :P

Getting them in ASAP. I need to try to avoid updating transcripts, as spending all this time on the LSAT/apps has thrown my grads into the tank for this semester =/

Future Careers?
Saturday, October 20 2007 at 08:00 PM

I used to have this random dream (as a, like, 12 year old girl) that I wanted to marry into the Chinese mafia...I'm a little beyond that now, but being a drug smuggler perhaps? :P Honestly, I feel like the salaries that lawyers pull in is close enough to criminal sometimes...

Not yet!
Saturday, October 20 2007 at 08:00 PM

Nope, no TS emails yet...I try not to think about it; but I'll let you know if I get one - I think you're right we'll probably be about the same time (hopefully!!).

hey
Thursday, November 01 2007 at 08:00 PM

Look at you! I'm jealous of your LSAT...but we have lots of overlap. Good luck! :-D

thanks
Tuesday, June 20 2006 at 08:00 PM

I'd wish you good luck as well, but unlike me, you don't need luck =]

1st choice
Monday, August 13 2007 at 08:00 PM

I would say UVa right now but it depends on $$$ and how my visits go since the only law school I've seen is UVa's.

Congrats!

On Duke!

Congrats

Friday, October 19 2007 at 08:00 PM

thanks for your note- I was a little surprised myself. I knew it wasn't at all a lock, but I'm wondering what is wrong with my application that almost everyone with my numbers got in! I'm rooting for your Harvard acceptance. Keep me posted!

Totally!
Saturday, October 20 2007 at 08:00 PM

That's so funny - I hadn't noticed we got it on the same day, but totally not surprised. I told him to call whenever (which is basically true - my plate is pretty empty/mobile at work this week)...I tried to think of a couple questions to ask, and I made sure to print a copy of my app to have in front of me, in case he asks anything about specific things. Best of luck - I'm sure you'll do great; please keep me updated!

Hey
Monday, July 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, Duke told me I was one of four applicants that their people had accidentally keyed in as regular decision instead of priority track. Hoyle was looking over the applications at the time I called, so I felt a little sheepish.

Awesome!
Saturday, October 20 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm sure it went great! I still haven't had mine yet...but hopefully soon? My roommate just had hers, as well, and he called as she was just getting on a bus/listening to the safety talk over the loudspeaker - eek! Other than that, she said it went fine, though. Best of luck waiting for #2!

Congrats!

Congrats on Harvard! Now our community of TLSers agonizing over NYU shrinks...

Wednesday, October 17 2007 at 08:00 PM

It takes a lot of the pressure off to have some great acceptances so early, but I'm def looking forward to (and hoping for) that Harvard call too ;)

just adding to the list of congrats on harvard!!

Harvard
Wednesday, July 18 2007 at 08:00 PM

Congrats to you too. Yale and Stanford are so unpredictable. I decided to waste my application fee on only one of them, and I really liked Stanford when I visited over the summer. I'll definitely be attending the ASW. I hope we get our packets soon. Enjoy the Holidays.

wow!
Monday, December 17 2007 at 07:00 PM

hello there! wow, congratulations on the acceptances, that's wonderful. we have similar #s, i'm encouraged!

Congrats on UVa! I really hope my acceptance is coming soon.

congrats
Sunday, November 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on the acceptances-your stats are ridiculous. Don't take Turow's Book too seriously-I read it and he seems pretty dramatic...and I believe he went to school in the 70's. Congrats again-Have you made a decision yet?

Yale
Tuesday, October 02 2007 at 08:00 PM

I was looking at your info section and noticed you decided not to apply to Yale because you thought it would be a waste of money. I decided not to apply to Yale either, for the same reason, but now I'm wondering if that's really true. I mean, if we don't have a shot at getting into Yale, who does? So what's your first choice? Is it Harvard?

Yale
Tuesday, October 02 2007 at 08:00 PM

My first choice is either Harvard or Stanford. Congrats on getting into your first choice!

Congrats!
Monday, October 01 2007 at 08:00 PM

On Columbia!

Congrats on Columbia!
Monday, July 16 2007 at 08:00 PM

Hi "lizzy1280," Congrats on your admission to Columbia! I am still waiting to hear back from them. For my benefit and the benefit of others still waiting to hear back, could you please tell us if your Columbia "My Columbia" status checker says a date or just "decision" or what? Thank you in advance for your response, and continued best wishes for you this cycle. Sincerely, aniedrich84

Congrats!
Monday, October 01 2007 at 08:00 PM

On Chicago!

:)
Tuesday, October 30 2007 at 08:00 PM

you heard from chicago today too? Congrats!! Although it is a little weird, knowing that you already have a Harvard offer on the table. Anyway, I'm going to the ASW in March and will try to check out all the public interest stuff on campus. You know when you're going?

Congrats
Thursday, July 12 2007 at 08:00 PM

on Chicago! Looks like your cycle couldn't be any better.

first choice
Thursday, July 12 2007 at 08:00 PM

To be honest, I am not sure yet. I am pretty sure I'll be at one of HYS, but a full scholarship somewhere else could lure me away. I don't have a lot of faith that I'll get into either of YS though, so I try not to think about those two that much.

Congrats!
Monday, October 01 2007 at 08:00 PM

On UCLA!

Thanks!
Sunday, October 21 2007 at 08:00 PM

Thanks lizzy. have you decided on where you are going yet?

Congrats!
Monday, November 05 2007 at 07:00 PM

Sorry...
Wednesday, January 23 2008 at 07:00 PM

That your cycle came to such an end. But congrats on all your acceptances!
