wow! how did you get accepted so quick by NCCU?

Tuesday, September 23 2008 at 09:08 PM

Congrats on your acceptances. I will like to know what variety of classes have you taken to attract attention for law schools?

Friday, September 26 2008 at 06:54 PM

do you have a copy of your acceptance letter, i wanted to see what one looks like

Good Luck
Monday, October 06 2008 at 07:20 AM

I will be attending in the Spring at STU. Hope to see you there!

Tuesday, October 28 2008 at 01:00 PM

I'm sorry to hear that STU rejected you. Did they give you a reasson? However, Congrats on your acceptence at NCU!

Friday, November 07 2008 at 06:16 PM

Thanks boo..

Monday, November 10 2008 at 04:41 PM

Could I recommend you apply to Florida Coastal. They keep sending me an invite to apply but unfortunately I have to stay in Chicago. Oh, and their tutition is cheap.

Wednesday, November 12 2008 at 01:11 PM

I really appreciate your comment. I am glad to know I am not the only person going through what I am going through. After some research, I am considering adding NCCU to my list of schools. Keep me updated on how things are going and I wish you the best.

Saturday, November 15 2008 at 02:01 PM

good luck with the rest of your cycle!

Saturday, November 15 2008 at 03:17 PM

Ideally, since I graduate next month, I would like to go to John Marshall since I can start in January. My second choice is IU Indy but my stats aren't that competitive. Those are my dream schools. John Marshall did push back their app deadline til next week but I don't know if that is good or bad for me. I am applying to NCCU too. Whats you number one choice?

Monday, November 17 2008 at 10:52 AM

Yeah, waiting is killing me too! My 1st choice is a tie between Howard and Mason, although I'd be happy to go to any of the schools I applied to, except William and Mary.

Friday, November 21 2008 at 04:04 PM

Congrats on your acceptances! Its great to know that some places look beyond the numbers! Best of luck with the rest of your apps!

Saturday, November 22 2008 at 11:57 AM

Hey, thanks for the comment and I am praying for the best, so now its just the waiting for me. My lsat scores are not what I hoped for but I am hoping that a law school can acknowledge my hard work ethic. Good luck on your cycle and maybe if you got to NCCU and I get in we will see each other!!

Monday, November 24 2008 at 11:00 AM

thanks u too! looks like ure trying to stay in FL. i dont blame u. NYC is wayyy too cold.

Monday, November 24 2008 at 03:17 PM

Hey, I really want to get into NCCU and it has been about 4 weeks now since my file was complete. What do you think my chances are of getting in considering my profile info?

Tuesday, November 25 2008 at 08:29 AM

oh i applied to FCU but i forgot to ass to the list thanks! i was thinking of NCCU too...ideally I'd take any school that let's me in! But if I could, I'd go to Miami, Fordham, or American. But I think those may be reaching :( Why isn;t your NCCU acceptance posted? Congrats!

Tuesday, November 25 2008 at 01:04 PM

I hope so cause other than Campbell, NCCU is one of the schools I want to get into. I hope I receive some type of aid also. I spoke to one of the current students that attends NCCU and she said I should get in because they don't have a high percentage of Native Americans, so I am biting my nails and crossing my fingers. Are you considering them highly?

Wednesday, November 26 2008 at 06:20 AM

How are the apps coming? I just finished mine last night. Any news yet? I should know my first two choices in a few weeks. I did early decision at IU Indy and JM for spring 2009. I hate playing the waiting game but its worth it! :)

Wednesday, November 26 2008 at 05:45 PM

Thanks for the nice comment! Best of luck to you, I hope both of our dreams come true. :)

Wednesday, November 26 2008 at 07:55 PM

FAMU would probably be a fun school to go to; it's inexpensive, not much academic pressure, and you get to live in Orlando which is one of the better cities to live in!

Monday, December 01 2008 at 07:48 PM

Hey, I was wondering how you heard from NCCU? I am getting a little worried cause it has been about 5 weeks since my app was complete.

Hi there.
Monday, December 01 2008 at 11:11 PM

How are you Miss? I just wanted to wish you good luck here!

Same here...
Tuesday, December 02 2008 at 04:51 AM

I got rejected from Cooley too. It was an unexpected low blow. But I am still optimistic.

Tuesday, December 02 2008 at 11:49 AM

thanks. good luck to you too!

FL Coastal
Monday, December 15 2008 at 12:23 PM

thanks again for the NCCU adivce! have thought about florida coastal? i just got in and i hear they're filling seats right away! keep your head up :)

Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 10:46 AM

Congrats on your acceptance to NCCU. I am waiting on their decision. They are my number 1 choice.

Thursday, December 18 2008 at 09:20 AM

I added Thomas Jefferson as well. Did you apply full time or part time? How are you doing with this whole stressful process?

Good Luck
Thursday, December 18 2008 at 06:02 PM

Thanks and good luck to you too hopefully we get some acceptances soon. This process is so stressful.

Monday, December 22 2008 at 05:38 AM

I just got a letter from Thomas Cooley saying I am accepted into their qualifying program in March! It's not admission but one step closer. Thats the only good news I have had so far. How is everything else going?

Good Luck
Thursday, January 01 2009 at 07:35 AM

We're LSAT twins my friend. It's going to be a tough road for the two of us but I want to wish you good luck. You have a chance with the schools you've selected.

Friday, January 02 2009 at 07:35 PM

Its going ok here too. I sent in money for the qualifying program but I am hoping for some other schools to pull through but this is the only good news I have heard so far. Are you going?

Hey there.
Monday, January 19 2009 at 09:32 AM

I noticed you applied to Barry. Have you heard anything yet? Good luck with the rest of the cycle. The waiting gets to me sometimes. Blah

Thursday, January 22 2009 at 01:57 PM

Oh really? I just did it as a back up plan in case no other school accepts me. If I get into any other school I am going to choose that one instead of Cooley. I still have to hear from NCCU, FAMU, D.C., Valpo and Dayton. Have you heard from anyone else yet?

Sunday, January 25 2009 at 09:49 PM

I think that you have a good shot at conditional admissions with NCCU and FAMU if you get denied at those schools. As for HASTINGS, did you apply through LEOP? Did Cooley offer you conditional admissions? I'd be surprised if they didn't.

LEOP Hastings
Wednesday, February 04 2009 at 10:36 AM

LEOP is generally for people with 150 lsat scores that are disadvantaged or that are minorities. Many years ago, they took people under 150's. This LEOP program is generally for 150 and above. I just do not want you to count on this program. I mean, sure...it could happen. I am keeping a watch on your cycle, and I do wish you the very best on this cycle. Maybe Hastings will change their process this year. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I just wanted to tell you what I knew about LEOP.

Wednesday, February 04 2009 at 11:16 AM

have u applied to CLEO? that may be a good way to help with ur cycle :)

Monday, February 09 2009 at 09:02 AM

looks like my profile was going crazy-did u apply to CLEO? I also recently had a status change from FSU and am nervous because ppl seem to be receiving phone calls...

Wednesday, February 11 2009 at 12:18 PM

i was asking because u may want to consider CLEO if ur up for a six week program-they just extended the deadline to Feb. 17th! I hope to move to FL so right now any pick is good! Y no FL Coastal? U were the one who told me to apply there! :)

Saturday, February 14 2009 at 05:37 AM

Congrats on your acceptance to FAMU. I am stil waiting to see if i get in. I wish you luck on your other applications.

Monday, February 16 2009 at 12:40 PM

me again! i have a close friend who went to FSU...crazy! i love miami and hope to move there. i hope u get into CLEO too-i just got in! keep me updated and congrast on FAM U! :)

Wednesday, February 25 2009 at 10:16 PM

Congrats on NCCU.

Very Nice!
Thursday, February 26 2009 at 07:14 AM

NCCU and FAMU! Since you have only one more school to go you will have to make a decision soon!

Friday, February 27 2009 at 10:42 AM

Hello, MissLaw. Once again congrats on NCCU. You're really giving me hope on my chances because our numbers are so identical. I'll cut a backflip if you get into UC Hastings which is an excellent school!

Thank You
Sunday, March 01 2009 at 05:31 PM

Thank you so much for the advice and encouragement, I definitely needed it. I am going to research those schools right now.

I am so happy for you
Wednesday, March 04 2009 at 01:32 PM

Miss Law 87, just wanted to let you know that I am so happy for you. I wish you much success with law school. My 2 top picks are NCCU & FAMU, I am hoping for an acceptance from either or. However, I don't have the lsat score--less than yours. But an okay gpa. With a bunch of soft factors. Like you "I know my scores are low, but I am keeping the faith that I get in to a law school."...so now I am just waiting! Well it's definately about me, its about you---congrats on your acceptances, and I wish nothing more than success. Hopefully or maybe we will be classmates.

Sunday, March 08 2009 at 06:22 PM

Hey, I took your advice and applied to FAMU. I'm still considering NCCU, I am probably going to freak out and apply last minute. Thanks again for your advice.

Monday, March 09 2009 at 06:05 AM

Thank you! I'm so happy that somewhere is willing to take a chance on me!

Tuesday, March 10 2009 at 07:25 AM

Have you decided where you are going to go? I just got my acceptance letter to NCCU so maybe I'll see you there!!

Sunday, March 15 2009 at 08:34 PM

WOW! Congratulations on TWO acceptances! It must be a comforting feeling. I hope to feel that soon...a letter that says welcome to the class of 2012 :)

Tuesday, March 17 2009 at 07:10 AM

I will be attending NCCU this fall and right now I am looking at houses and condos to rent. I just put my house on the market so hopefully it will sell pretty quickly. :)

Tuesday, March 17 2009 at 06:03 PM

So where are you going. I got 145 and 2.84 gpa. I've been out of school for 12 years. I would love to chat with you. You must apply to Southern University. They have a stronger alumni Network that NCCU and FAMU. I think I will end up at FAMU in they accept me. I'm just getting my apps in now. Check out Texas Southern as well. GREAT OPTIONS if you have nothing holding you down to stay in the state.

Thank you
Wednesday, March 18 2009 at 07:10 PM

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I will definately keep you posted, I am praying that I am granted the opportunity to study at NCCU. Thank you

Thursday, March 19 2009 at 05:16 AM

I completely understand. If you have any questions about anything around here please let me know. Send me an email and I will give you my contact info...maybe we can meet up during orientation. :) GO EAGLES!

Thursday, April 02 2009 at 04:28 PM

I've decided to attend NCCU as well. Have you looked at housing yet?

Wednesday, April 15 2009 at 01:20 PM

Congrats on NCCU. It is much better than most of the schools that rejected you.. The National Jurist has it ranked #13 of 25 and the most underrated law school in the country. Good luck!! Looks Like I'll be at southern unless Howard surprise me.

Thursday, April 23 2009 at 08:32 AM

hey i'm from Florida as well and also been down a long road of rejections. I'm still waiting on my decision from from nccu law and howard. My last resort will be famu. Hope to see ya at nccu law. Pray for me because I need it....bad!!!

Wednesday, April 29 2009 at 04:48 PM

Wednesday, August 26 2009 at 10:23 AM

Is this for real...Congrats I am in the same situation. Do you have any tips?

Wednesday, November 18 2009 at 07:42 AM

What was the determining factor in you choosing NCCU over FAMU? Is it a better school?

Hi MissLaw87
Saturday, February 19 2011 at 05:46 PM

What is a URM? I have almost your scores exactly and am LGBT and biracial. I am worried that I will not get into Texas Southern University. I feel like I definatley come from a diverse experience and background. I feel full of faith like you. Did they tell you that you were accepted as a URM? Thanks for your help and God bless. Sincerely, Erica
