My application to Notre Dame had a slight modification to the personal Statement, and also included an optional essay.

Accepted to Berkeley, got news by e-mail stating theyll pay $300 for me to fly out there in april. I guess that covers about 20% of my flight from madrid- berkeley...

Denied by Texas by mail dated December 2, 2008. I kind of shrugged it off though, seeing as how I got into BERKELEY the day before!

Accepted to Arizona, by mail dated December 18, 2008, along with a $8,000 renewable scholarship. So glad to know my local school wants me and that I can come home if I want to :)

You have chosen a lot of prestigious T1's indeed. Although I think your numbers are out of the range of many of these schools, I think the fact that you have some strong soft factors and are a URM will work in your favor.

I am heavily leaning to going to Berkeley, due to its low tuition (after I make myself a CA resident) location and academics. I could change my mind though depending on financial aid and so on. As far as Northwestern goes, I did not interview, since I currently live in Spain and NU wasn't originally on my radar. I decided to send an application in after I got a fee waiver from them.
