Additional info & updates

Well this is the beginning of my cycle.... as you can see, my general mindset is go big, or go home!

Accepted by Notre Dame by mail dated November 12, 2008
My application to Notre Dame had a slight modification to the personal Statement, and also included an optional essay.
Accepted to Berkeley, got news by e-mail stating theyll pay $300 for me to fly out there in april. I guess that covers about 20% of my flight from madrid- berkeley...
Denied by Texas by mail dated December 2, 2008. I kind of shrugged it off though, seeing as how I got into BERKELEY the day before!
Accepted to Arizona, by mail dated December 18, 2008, along with a $8,000 renewable scholarship. So glad to know my local school wants me and that I can come home if I want to :)
Accepted to Northwestern, by e-mail sent the day before. This cycle has really gone better than I could have ever imagined. Goes to show you, you never know what will happen until you try!

You have chosen a lot of prestigious T1's indeed. Although I think your numbers are out of the range of many of these schools, I think the fact that you have some strong soft factors and are a URM will work in your favor.

I am heavily leaning to going to Berkeley, due to its low tuition (after I make myself a CA resident) location and academics. I could change my mind though depending on financial aid and so on. As far as Northwestern goes, I did not interview, since I currently live in Spain and NU wasn't originally on my radar. I decided to send an application in after I got a fee waiver from them.

I think you should have applied to Harvard, being that you are a Fulbright Scholar.

What's your secret?

Congratulations on NU! Gives me hope that I still have a chance:) I love this school and really want to go. I have a similar LSAT and GPA to yours and would appreciate any info or advice that you may have? Thanks for sharing
