Monday, December 01 2008 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on Pittsburgh. When did you hear from them? Did they offer you money? What is your gpa and lsat? Good job man on Pitt! I absolutely love Pittsburgh. Look forward to hearing from you.

Nope
Sunday, October 05 2008 at 08:00 PM

Im not regretting it at all, applying EA to Notre Dame. I made sure that all my early decision applications were non binding, leaving my options open just in case. Glad I did that now!

Pitt Love
Thursday, August 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

I see Pitt is throwing some $$$ your way too!!! Doesn't it feel good to be loved? I hope you get some lovin' from some of the other schools on your list.

Congrats!
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

Congratulations on a great start! I like Marquette's Sports Law Program!!!

Monday, December 01 2008 at 07:00 PM

congrats on Marquette.

Sunday, October 19 2008 at 08:00 PM

I'm not even the fastest on this site?? Haha good luck to you too.

Victoria Secret School of Law
Thursday, August 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

I'm pretty sure they'd have more apps than Harvard! It would be the only all male law school. OOOhhh, maybe females could get a minority-scholarship,lol! Honestly, If I got mail from a school as often as I did from VS I would have decisions everywhere.

CONGRATS
Friday, January 02 2009 at 07:00 PM

Congrats if you don't mind me asking what was you GPA and LSAT score? I'm pretty anxious about getting in this fall and I'm trying to weigh my chances.

Northwestern
Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

They emailed me and told me to check the status checker

Wow
Wednesday, October 29 2008 at 08:00 PM

I like your boldness. YOu applied to several school. That is a great strategy. Good Luck on this cycle.

Marquette..?
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

I'm deciding on whether to apply to marquette..I really like the sports law program. Just not to sure about milwaukee...What are your thoughts..?

similar stuff
Thursday, August 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

we've got similar numbers and are applying to a lot of the same places.I wish I had the fee waivers though! Congrats on the Depaul Acceptance. sorry about NU. But at least you can still be in Chicago if you really want.

Marquette...
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

I think I'm gonna apply this week!!!!! I'm really interested in sports law...

Pitt...maybe
Thursday, August 07 2008 at 08:00 PM

W&L is going to be tough to pass up!! I don't know if Pitt would be on my list after that acceptance. I just go in to Rutgers which might bump Pitt a little, and if they give me $$...Pitt's done! But I'm still waiting for some 4th quarter sleeper teams:-) And of course I've gotta hold out for Yale, lol

Saturday, October 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

You're having a crazy cycle but I think that's fun. Especially getting into top 25 like W&L! Do your thing!

congrats so far on the cycle
Monday, December 29 2008 at 07:00 PM

maybe if the 6.5 was in the 60 and were talkin about 2 reps of 225 on overhead squats lol.. in all seriousness congrats on the 4 acceptances, I applied to a few of the same

6.5?? Lol..
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

You don't want run no 6.5 bro lol...I'm a d lineman and I was in the 4.9 range..lol.. What's new with the cycle? I've yet to hear from anybody but I only applied at the end of December...

I agree!!!
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

I tried to stress that strongly in my addendum. I spent well over 50 hours a week preparing. Once you sign that football scholarship, It's like signing your life away. I wish adcomms would realize how tough it is to play at the collegiate level. Especially at the Division1a level. I think my top few would be Seattle U, U of San Francisco, U of Oregon and UNLV.

Wow
Saturday, October 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

You're having a crazy cycle (in a good way). Congrats on your acceptances! Leaning towards any school in particular?

Top Choices
Saturday, October 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

I'm pretty much ready to send in my $50 deposit to UGA at this point! I went for a visit, have received freindly phone calls, and got a little scholarship to help tuck me in at night. Why not right? lol I don't know anything about Pitt, W&L is super tiny in the middle of nowhere, and I like Wake. The girl from UGA told me when she saw there weren't any hair or nail salons in Lexington she knew where she was going. And that's all I needed to hear lol

W&L
Saturday, October 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

Sure, but I'm very picky and hard to please so I don't want to sway you any which way by how my visit goes lol

waitlists..
Friday, December 05 2008 at 07:00 PM

yes, i think i'm going to ride on all the waitlists so far, except for Cardozo's. i'm thinking of sending Columbia a LOCI, even though chances are slim that i'll actually get off. congrats on your cycle so far, too! have you decided on a school yet?

Wake Forest
Tuesday, February 24 2009 at 07:00 PM

Hey congrats on Wake Forest it is my top choice. Been in committee review for a month. Where you thinking of going?

Sunday, May 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

Haha... Thanks very much. I'm sure to withdraw it if I get in. But that's an "if". It's been such a crap shoot (ex, waitlisted at BU & GW but accepted at UVA & Berk)!!! Go figure! Best of luck though!

Sunday, May 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

Haha... believe me, I'd sell all my spots (if it worked that way) and put the money toward the out of state tuition I'm going to have to pay! I'm sure you'll get into USC though! No worries...

LoL
Friday, December 05 2008 at 07:00 PM

you can keep W&L... don't want to move to lexington VA! congrats on the acceptance =)

Wisc
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on Wisconsin and all your other acceptances!

Will do...
Tuesday, September 02 2008 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for the reminder. That's actually my plan first thing this Saturday. Best wishes the rest of your cycle.

Thanks
Tuesday, March 03 2009 at 07:00 PM

Good Luck to you man...Congrats on W & L really wanted to apply there my self.

Wow
Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

And I thougt I applied to too many school lol. Well done man.

Wisconsin
Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

Unless something miraculous happens. Madison native too, so in-state tuition + fellowship + diploma privilege is crazy incentive. How about you?

W&L
Saturday, October 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

I decided to withdraw so I'm not going to visit. Taking everything into consideration, UGA is just too good to pass up for me. How about you? Made any decisions?

Thank you!
Thursday, September 11 2008 at 08:00 PM

...for the congratulations. Have you decided on a school yet?

Wash U
Thursday, September 11 2008 at 08:00 PM

Yeah Wash U's tuition deposit is due tomorrow. I just paid it online today. It's refundable as long as you let the admissions committee know by May 1 that you won't be enrolling. Sooo it's my back-up plan in case Vandy doesn't come through. W&L and Wisconsin are pretty good schools. Is there one you're leaning towards more?

Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

You've probably already thought of this, but I think one of the most important things to consider is where you eventually want to practice. Money should come later down on the list. Yes debt can be scary but you have two great schools so you most certainly find a job. I am not sure what type of law you want to get into but that is also an important factor. At Wisconsin, you will dominate the legal market in the area you'd probably be able to maneuver around to Illinois and Indiana as well. But at Washington & Lee you'd be near D.C., which is one of the top 3 legal markets in the nation, and is good for all types of law. Plus they have the new Third Year Law Difference, which actually helps to prepare you to become a practicing lawyer (very crucial). So do you want to be stuck in the Midwest for a good chunk of your career or stuck in Virginia for 3 years with the possibility of moving elsewhere. Good Luck. Here is a site I found helpful for potential job prospects. www.nalpdirectory.com You can check the ones in each area to see how many people from each school work there.

Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

That's pretty cool that we want to do the same thing and are in virtually the same boat (Loyola didn't offer me any scholarship money). I'm pretty sure that I want to eventually come back to LA so Loyola is looking pretty nice to me right now. Chicago-Kent is great, I think actually going there and talking to the admissions staff and a couple of professors helped me. But, if you want to practice in Chicago, I'd say Wisconsin, but you are going up against the powerhouses in Chicago, but you will be fine. Plus Fole & Lardner is big in Milwaukee and they have ties to the Packers. Good Luck and keep in touch. Sean

i've decided...
Friday, December 05 2008 at 07:00 PM

I'm going to Cornell! made a decision yet?

Wash U
Thursday, September 11 2008 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, the "hold" at Wash U is better than the "waitlist." Since they over-admitted so many people last year they're just being really picky this year. I'm pretty certain you can get off the list though. Good Luck!

Wisconsin over W&L
Tuesday, December 02 2008 at 07:00 PM

I think that you got a full ride plus you did not have to take the bar if you practice in Wisconsin

WISCONSIN
Sunday, May 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

Well, if you want the best shot possible to practice in DC then choose W&L! If you're thinking about Chicago, go Wisconsin all the way! Personally, I'd choose Wisconsin b/c there's nothing around W&L (it's in the middle of nowhere). However, I was shocked when I found out how beautiful the town of Madison is (and it's right on the water). Wisconsin seems a little more enjoyable!

Sunday, May 04 2008 at 08:00 PM

Sounds like a reasonable plan. Hopefully, I'll see you in a little over a year! All the best!

Thanks!
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

Where are you leaning towards? I think USF will be a great fit for me. I hear nothing but great things about the school and the city. I'm going to visit next week..Just hoping for a little schollie money!

Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

Haha...if Northwestern surprises me with an April/May gift I just might be in Chicago. If it's any consolation I hear Virginia warms up in the summer. I am not sure about Wisconsin though. At least it'll motivate you to study.

That's wassup!
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

Yes hopefully we can both get in WASH U!!!!!!!

Tuesday, April 14 2009 at 08:00 PM

CONGRATS! WAY TO BEAT THE ODDS!!! Good for you for ignoring ignorance and JEALOUSY!! It's apparent someone is feeling inadequate about his shortcomings lol. Thanks for addressing it with maturity! I wish you all the best!!

Wash U
Thursday, September 11 2008 at 08:00 PM

Not really feeling St. Louis...And for what I want to do during and after law school...Vandy is just a better fit. Not to mention, I like their programs a lot more.

Thursday, September 11 2008 at 08:00 PM

Haven't decided yet. Just waiting to see what happens and talking w/ my parents about my options...or lack thereof.

Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

Wassup man. So what school did you send a seat deposit to? The anonymous person who left a comment is truly ignorant. A couple of my applications aked: Are you Latino/a? If not, check your race. Anyways, I think it's pretty official with me going to Loyola.

to anonymous
Tuesday, November 18 2008 at 07:00 PM

I never said we are all the same and we get the same boost, so don't put words into my mouth. Latino's don't get a boost at all? You can't be serious. There are plenty of Latino's (some on this site) that have gotten into t14 schools because of a boost. Check your facts before you start poppin off at the mouth son.

Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

Everything is good over here. Wisconsin seems pretty lax. I guess they really want to get people there and keep them there, with the diploma privilege and what not. Well it seems like you want to transfer, so good luck with that. But maybe you will really like it. Would you stay at WUSTL if you got in?

Looks like Wisco..
Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

$$ trumped it all in the end... You any closer to a decision yet?

Thanks
Friday, November 14 2008 at 07:00 PM

for the congrats and congrats on all your acceptances as well. Have you made a decision?

never on schedule, but always on time
Tuesday, January 06 2009 at 07:00 PM

ugh, believe me, i'm still kicking myself for not getting all my apps done sooner... i was really overwhelmed by the whole process (for a variety of reasons) i was initially tempted to wait and reapply next year (especially since i think i could have done better on the lsat) but i'm not convinced it would be worth it to wait a year. i'm really excited about fordham, and if a waitlist comes through it'll be icing on the cake :) i'm a procrastinator til the bitter end, wasting time on the internet instead of finally finishing all my LOCIs...

Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

Ya it's all about trying to network. There are going to be a string of no's, but it's all about getting your foot in the door. I was told that people are much more willing to help you now rather than when you are just desperate for a job. Even talk to your future classmates. We all aspire to be great lawyers and knowing them will be extremely beneficial down the road. I think that is the only potentially bad thing about transferring, as you lose some of the strong 1L connections.

congrats!
Monday, December 01 2008 at 07:00 PM

Thank you for your message. At this point, where are you thinking of going?

Friday, June 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

A full ride to a Tier 1 law school and you don't have to take the bar exam. I am just a tad bit envious. haha. Good Luck to you. I expect to hear great things about a kid from Brooklyn.

Schools
Wednesday, May 27 2009 at 08:00 PM

hey congrats on the schools, I have similar LSAT scores and was wondering what your secret was to getting into great schools? good luck with everything

Thanks Fam!!
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

I believe I will choose Oregon. Their basketball and football program have tons of players getting drafted. Not to mention, Nike was established there. I personally know Ernie Kent, OU's head basketball coach. This could be big.... I also believe with me wanting to be an entreprenuer and sports agent, less debt is the way to go. Not to mention they have a better rep and richer history. I don't think I can turn down the better school that is also a lot cheaper. Off tuition alone and living expenses, I will be saving around 40 k....

...
Tuesday, December 16 2008 at 07:00 PM

I chose OREGON. It was too good to pass up. Now I have to focus and make the most of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will try my best to build some NIKE contacts!!! I'll have a chance to scout PAC-10 players every week..I'm excited. Not the big city life, but it will allow me to grind and be succesful...

Hey
