Yes, I do plan on reapplying to many schools beginning in 9/05. I am currently living in Abilene KS (north central). Are you in KS?

Fl Coastal
Thursday, September 08 2005 at 08:00 PM

Hey Janey...nope, no mention of money. But it was nice to hear from one of the schools that I had applied for this early. I am definitely considering Fl Coastal for the Fall of 06. Especially since they are suppose to be moving to a new campus soon. It is suppose to be very nice from what I have heard. Fl Coastal also seems to have some good bar passage and employment numbers as well. I will know more after I visit later this year. What about you? Are considering attending/applying? Take care. -Dante

It was a small one. Kinda scary, thought for sure it was a ding...lol. Blows my theory of small = denial and big = acceptance. Good luck Mike! - Dante

My LSAT experience is similar to yours. Actually took the LSAT 3 times. Scores: 147, 149, 152 respectively. Avg: 149.3. At least one of the schools I applied to takes the highest score. congrats on the acceptances! and good luck!

Hey Mike, I applied for the main campus in Lansing for the Fall of 06.

Yes, I am still considering Nova however, they only give scholarships to those that score above a 160. This is what the lady from admissions told me. I am hoping to get some money from FCSL, but I think my LSAT may be too low.

FCSL
Friday, September 09 2005 at 08:00 PM

Actually, I should have stated that I am hoping for actually an offer of admission. It would be nice to be able to attend in Jax. When do you think you will make up your mind where you will attend?

I know what you mean, IF I get accepted to FCSL Wife and I will be making a trip to Jacksonville. I am afraid my four lsats will hurt me.

Thanks for the congrats...I still haven't made any choices regarding where I am going to go. I am going to wait until I make my campus visits at each school.

thanks, and congrats to you

congrats to you on your acceptances. i don't think i will consider OCU. OU's scholarship offer makes it less to attend OU than OCU over three years. but, it is always nice to be offered a scholarship.

Congrats on your acceptance! Is it for a spring or fall start?

OCU Law
Wednesday, December 28 2005 at 07:00 PM

I'm in at OCU Law too. You considering going? I have a vast number of schools to hear back from. But if the worst case scenario reveals its ugly head, I wonder if I'm prepared to go to OCU...

Hey man, Sorry for the delay in responding to your message-- I havn't checked/updated this thing in ages. Anyways, thanks on the congrats-- congrats to you as well. It is quite possible that I'll end up at Tulsa, but I'm still waiting to see what else happens. Best of luck.

Tulsa

Congrats! I am originally from Tulsa, and frankly, the city is amazing and growing very fast. TU Law has a stellar reputation in the state and in surrounding area, plus it would be a great place to study law. If you have any questions, you can holler at me. Best wishes.

Congrats

it looks like you have some good choices, best of luck at Dayton. I still haven't heard anything from them yet. Where do you think you are going to end up. As of right now, I still liek Tulsa even though I dont have much of a choice at the moment. I think I would choose Tulsa however over alot of schools on my list. Let me know, and keep me updated about your final decisions. Best Wishes

Congratulations

on your acceptance to Nova Southeastern. Did they give you any scholarship money? I'm guessing that you going to attend Tulsa because of the location and the school has a good reputation.

congrats on nova, I'll be driving down there this week to check out the campus and maybe sit in on a class.

Tulsa Pre-Law Day
Thursday, November 10 2005 at 07:00 PM

yeah I am planning on going down, unless a miracle happens in the next week or so with WVU, Buffalo, or Penn State. I have been pricing tix, hotels and rental cars for the weekend. So I will definitily keep you updated on if I am going down or not. As of right now however Tulsa is my top choice!

Congrats

After looking at your profile it seems like your doing really well and you should be very happy! Apr 1st is coming fast, any ideas??? I am very set on UDM so I might just pay the small fee without completely making up my mind...

tu law
Wednesday, March 01 2006 at 07:00 PM

i don't know if you have made a decision yet. i was at pre-law day this weekend. the school is very impressive, and all the alumni and current students say that tulsa's legal community is very tight knit..that if you graduate from tu law, you have preference. i have never felt so welcomed. i hope you were able to make the weekend trip. it was very informative..

Hi, that's cool that you agreed what a great school tu is. I had the mock class-police procedures (search and seizure). I can't remember the professor's name, but his wife (who is also a tu law professor) sat with me at lunch. She was extremely nice. I was surprised how unbored I was sitting in on this class, but he really held my interest. The library is second to none. The have one of the top three libraries in the nation. They are also only one of three schools nationally that offer the Indian Certification. Did you go around to the tables? I know I want to get in on the moot court competitions, the law review, and the Christian Legal Society. One of the people there that I spoke with said that it is crucial to have Law Review on your resume and that we should take advantage of as many organizations as we can squeeze in. He said that administration will actually come around and ask you occasionally what you're involved in. They are huge on creating leaders in the community and putting out excellent lawyers to represent their school. I was also amazed at how intelligent, articulate and passionate the students are about what they are doing. I think it speaks volumes that you have been accepted to so many schools and are choosing TU. We are still trying to decide how to make everything come together for me. My husband has a great retirement, but is on the crux of getting a job offer which would double his income here in Edmond. We have an 11 year old son. We are thinking of buying a house in Tulsa and renting an apartment here for him during the week. That would be a major adjustment, but we are waiting to see what happens...All things are in God's hands. Congratulations again, and I am looking forward to seeing you there.

Thank you!

I appreciate the encouragement and hopefully I can take your spot now! Good luck at Tulsa! I'm from Tulsa and it's a good city to live. TU is a great school too.

I did not go to the pre-law day at TU. I have decided to go to OU. Thanks for asking and congrats on TU.

Congrats! Are you gonna attend? Do you mind telling me how and when you were notified by UDM?

tu no go
Wednesday, March 01 2006 at 07:00 PM

hey, thanks for the e-mail. i guess i'm not going to law school this year. my husband absolutely could not turn down this job in OKC. the commute is too far to be practical, and i just don't want to sacrifice my family completely in order to attend law school. if things don't work out with this position he accepted, i might apply again next year. again, thanks for all the feedback..

that is a great idea! i think i will contact the office today and check into that..thanks for the input..

Thursday, November 10 2005 at 07:00 PM

I decided to withdrawl from Tulsa. I think that UDM is a much better fit for me and my career path. It was such a hard decision especially with the great things I have heard of Tulsa. I will definitly keep ya posted on my final decision, and I look forward to hearing yours. Best wishes thanks for all the support and help

hey there!
Thursday, November 10 2005 at 07:00 PM

It has been awhile since I have gotten a chance to give ya a post. Well like you saw I have been accepted at Ave Maria with enough money to make it the same tuition as UDM. I really think that this processs likes to mess with the applicants becuase just when I am starting to really like a school, I get accepted to another school that I am really considering. However, this time I will be able to visit both UDM and Ave next week. So, that should be able to make my decision for me. I see you are still on the waitlist at Dayton. Hopefully they will get me a decision soon and let you in off of the waitlist, to give you even more to think about. It seems like the process should be almost at the end, but at least for me I still have to hear from some of my tops schools. So the agony will be all the way through the summer probably. Best Wishes, and keep me updated on what is happening with your final decisions.

Wednesday, March 01 2006 at 07:00 PM

hey, congratulations on a great school. i decided not to request next year because i don't want to once again find myself potentially in the same predicament. my husband loves his job, and i don't think that is going to change in the first year. i would hate to be thrown another bone and not come through again. i'll wait and see where everything is next spring and reapply if i can. it is a disappointment, but you have to go with the best decisions for the reality of where you are. that is my reality right now. best wishes..

Bad news for me
Thursday, November 10 2005 at 07:00 PM

I got rejected today from Duquesne. I guess that makes my decision easier. I am just glad this process is coming to an end. Best wishes.

how nice
Wednesday, March 01 2006 at 07:00 PM

of you to send the notes of encouragement. closing a door at a particular moment in time is always difficult (especially in light of the fact that i've now twice in my life been accepted) once to ou several years ago and now to tu (both really good schools). i know that some people would appreciate that opportunity once, but to have gotten it twice and not being in a position to attend is a little frustrating to say the least. however, i heard the other day on the radio that when you do the "right thing" in our lives there is always some temporary pain involved and that in the long run life is much better for having chosen the right path for all involved. my family just simply means more to me than law school, and i'm not willing to sacrifice the well being of my child who at age 11 needs a father in the home, not to be 90 miles away sitting at home in the afternoons waiting for mom to get home from school. all in all, i think i will have no regrets on this. again, i appreciate your e-mail and will look you up if i end up there next year...

decision finally
Thursday, November 10 2005 at 07:00 PM

I have recently decided to attend UDM. They offered me a full tuition scholarship and I just couldn't pass it up. I just wanted to let you know as well if I can ever help you in the future or if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. It was nice having a friend through this whole experience. Even though we have never met , you have definitly left a great impression on me and I know you are going to be a great attorney in 3 years. Best wishes, and good luck for 1L. However, I seriously doubt you will need luck. Especially with your outstanding upbeat attitude. Thanks again.

thanks!
