Hey, what type of URM? We have similar numbers (I have a 3.45/174). I am curious to see how it goes for you. Good luck.

Well, it would be helpful to know because different shades get different amounts of preference. Your results may not be good predictors of mine. I assume you'll reveal things after you make your final decision. The schools I list are the only ones I am truly interested in attending. I should have decent leverage in $ among that group.

I have friends there and love the area, so it's a backup if $ becomes a huge factor. Their in-state tuition is pretty easy to get and very inexpensive. Good luck on this cycle! We're almost number twins. I'm hoping it goes well for us both. :)

Yeah, mine was short too--I think they all are. Even if it doesn't work out, getting his attention is already a good sign and should translate to success at other schools. That's how I comfort myself, at least.

Congrats on Harvard! What was the phone interview like? Was the interviewer nice? Good luck with the rest of the cycle.

So how many times have you clicked on your own profile? About 18,000 times maybe?

I'm sure you already know this, but you are the #1 most popular user on LSN! I hope that one day, I too, can claw my way up the top users list. Oh yeah, and congrats on Harvard or whatever. :)

great job

I would recommend that you choose HLS over the Darrow. You'll have the rest of your life to make money (and pay back loans), but a law degree is a one-time investment, so go to the best one you can. Michigan is a great school, but HLS has much more brand recognition, which translates into better opportunities for public interest, clerkships, academia, firm jobs, OCI, etc. Personally, I am torn between Yale and Stanford, but leaning towards Stanford for personal reasons. I think it's probably the best combination of program/location, and I don't know if I can bring myself to leave the Bay Area. =)

That is correct.

You are? Wow...

Have you heard anything from them. You've been complete there longer than I have and I was wondering if they had gotten into contact with you in any way? Any idea what's taking them so long?

BOO yale

good problem

Deciding between all these great schools will be hard, but it's a good problem to have! You'll have plenty of great career opportunities no matter which of these schools you pick, so don't stress too much :) Good luck to you!

Hi! Would you mind letting me read your PS? Thanks!

Congrats, and statement
Monday, May 21 2007 at 11:06 AM

Hey, congrats on HLS; that whole list looks incredible. Could you let me read your personal statement? I have no idea what to write, especially trying to sell myself with a GPA that does not adequately reflect my capabilities. I do understand if you're not comfortable sharing it, though, and congrats again!
