I know my scores are low, but I am keeping the faith that I get in to a law school.

11-4-08: I started sending out my applications today and I am hoping for the best. The long waiting process as officially begun.

11-5-08: FAMU and FSU sent me emails stating they received my applications.

12-10-08: All my applications have been sent out and completed, now I am just waiting.

4-21-09: So I will be attending NCCU for Fall 2009. I am so excited and happy to be going to law school. And Congrats to everyone else who has been accepted as well. Its been a long rode of rejections but I am glad to be going somewhere. If you are going to NCCU as well, be sure to keep in contact with me. NCCU here I come. Go Eagles...........

Could I recommend you apply to Florida Coastal. They keep sending me an invite to apply but unfortunately I have to stay in Chicago. Oh, and their tutition is cheap. – legaldiva

Ideally, since I graduate next month, I would like to go to John Marshall since I can start in January. My second choice is IU Indy but my stats aren't that competitive. Those are my dream schools. John Marshall did push back their app deadline til next week but I don't know if that is good or bad for me. I am applying to NCCU too. Whats you number one choice? – haroman415

oh i applied to FCU but i forgot to ass to the list thanks! i was thinking of NCCU too...ideally I'd take any school that let's me in! But if I could, I'd go to Miami, Fordham, or American. But I think those may be reaching :( Why isn;t your NCCU acceptance posted? Congrats! – dclaw1

I hope so cause other than Campbell, NCCU is one of the schools I want to get into. I hope I receive some type of aid also. I spoke to one of the current students that attends NCCU and she said I should get in because they don't have a high percentage of Native Americans, so I am biting my nails and crossing my fingers. FAMU would probably be a fun school to go to; it's inexpensive, not much academic pressure, and you get to live in Orlando which is one of the better cities to live in! – hiya

I think that you have a good shot at conditional admissions with NCCU and FAMU if you get denied at those schools. As for HASTINGS, did you apply through LEOP?

Did Cooley offer you conditional admissions? I'd be surprised if they didn't. – bncounter6

LEOP is generally for people with 150 lsat scores that are disadvantaged or that are minorities. Many years ago, they took people under 150's. This LEOP program is generally for 150 and above.

I just do not want you to count on this program. I mean, sure...it could happen.

I am keeping a watch on your cycle, and I do wish you the very best on this cycle. Maybe Hastings will change their process this year. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I just wanted to tell you what I knew about LEOP.

Miss Law 87, just wanted to let you know that I am so happy for you. I wish you much success with law school. My 2 top picks are NCCU & FAMU, I am hoping for an acceptance from either or. However, I don't have the lsat score--less than yours. But an okay gpa. With a bunch of soft factors. Like you "I know my scores are low, but I am keeping the faith that I get in to a law school."...so now I am just waiting!

You must apply to Southern University. They have a stronger alumni Network that NCCU and FAMU. I think I will end up at FAMU in they accept me. I'm just getting my apps in now. Check out Texas Southern as well. GREAT OPTIONS if you have nothing holding you down to stay in the state. – mahdi
