Hey bud, as for Drexel again...I was able to get them my letters through the LSDAS website. They were listed when I applied. I would call their office, or maybe shoot an e-mail with your LSAC number and tell them which letters to grab. Wish I could be of more help. Good Luck.
Congrats on St Thomas.
Hey, I visited Stetson last week, so the memory is pretty fresh. I really liked the campus, it is beautiful and they have a ton of buildings for just one stand-alone law school (the main campus is on the other coast). The law library is huge...like as big as Seton Hall's, which is notoriously large. They seem to have fantastic alumni support. However, the surrounding area was def. not what I was expecting. It seems a little sketchy. Also, you had better want to practice in Florida becaue pretty much all the graduates stay there. Nice school, but not sure I wanna make the committment to Florida forever. And yeah, I tied it at #4 with 'Cuse after the Duq. visit cause I loved Pittsburgh and the school. Hope this helps. Take Care.
looks beautiful- haven't actually visited. is a very respectable school. however, i'm going to stay in the midwest. good luck with deciding where to go!
You aren't from UCF, are you? Congrats with the acceptances. It's always nice to see my fellow Floridians doing well. And who knows, we might be in class together next semester.
When you said "metropolitan" for city/city type, I thought that might mean Orlando. Thanks for the Congrats about UF. I'm crossing my fingers that you get the same good news!
Congrats on FIU! Did they alert you via email or snail mail? Did they offer you any money?
...for the response; what are your thoughts on it? And good luck with all your other apps
for the info man. The reason I am looking down there is basically because my fam is living just south of Venice and it would be nice toclose to them (they just retired and came down from Boston). Plus, I would love to be a trial lawyer. I have been working in a litigation dept here in NYC for the last 2 yrs at a big firm and would rather shoot myself than do what these associates do on a daily basis. I want Miami pretty bad but my GPA was miserable and I didn't fare as well as I thought I would on the LSAT but I have a ton of 'soft factors' and all that BS. So we'll see. Thanks for the response though and best of luck with everything...
hey how did u hear from drexel? the email? i got this accepted students email but nothing in the regular mail... did u get the same/ im just wondering cause there was no offer of money there so im curious if that would come in the normal mail... let me know... thanks man
The phone number was actually from Richmond's dean (yay for caller ID!) but yeah, it was definitely odd. That would've been 8:30 on a Sunday for them, not to mention during the SUPER BOWL! It was rather odd! She's lucky it was half time because there is no way I would've picked up during that game!
Did Stetson email you a confimation that your file was complete? I received one from them and I was just wondering what the time frame was between notification of completion and decison for you. I have a friend in the St. Pete area and I really loved the area, and the Trial Advocacy is top-notch. Our numbers are pretty similar and I really wanting to hear from them.
Out of state students can gain in-state tuition to Ohio schools rather easily after 1 year if you do a couple of things. The biggest thing is not receiving any form of financial help from someone outside of Ohio. Check with the schools' website, they have details.
Bluntmark, My letter said also "hold" with most decisions being "released by the end of May." The secretary told me this was their "waitlist" letter. Why not call them? If there are two types of status, then which one is preferred? I don't mean to belabor the point, but I know FSU for you, like me, is #1. Good luck!
Hey congrats on INDY again!! I visited it, it is such a beautiful campus and school and city. A bit cold though, not sure if you would like it that much. Let me know if you are concidering it. I can tell you about it and the city b/c i just visited it.
Hey, we are the only two people who have marked Akron as "attending". If you want to talk about Akron since we are both heading there, email me. arliecrabtree@gmail.com
When they sent the email to me with the scholarship award, it had two offers. Offer A was Full Tuition. You have to have a 2.5 during your first 2 years and a 3.3 gpa during your 3rd. Offer B was Full Tution plus the 10k stipend with a 3.3 gpa all 3 years.
I'd like to go to SLU, but I don't know how I can turn down Akron's offer, ya know?
Tell me all about Akron! I am most likely going to go there. We'll move sometime late July begining of August. If you would email me arliecrabtree@gmail.com Thanks.
Drexel is a tough call, pretty high on Duquesne right now, but both my parents, godmother, and uncle went to Seton Hall Law, so there's some serious pressure there. I'm worried about the accred. But I don't doubt that Drexel will have an excellent law school.
