UF is a bitch about residency. They pulled that crap with me. I haven't responded yet and don't really know if I'm going to.
I probably overeacted a little but I honestly thought I would get more. That being said Syracuse is competitive but not compared to Pitt or Tulane.
Yes I have asked several times with the Law School and Registrar and no one will respond. So I honestly have no idea on whether I'm a resident or not.

sounds like you're having a difficult time w/ UF as far as residency too....I've been here since the middle of August and they sent me like 3 letters asking me 'what other ties' I have to Florida(?!?)....I sent them copies of EVERYTHING, but they still haven't notified me about my residency status. I've even tried emailing them again. Before I moved here, I called admissions and was transferred through about 5 people before I finally talked to someone who knew...they, at the time, said I would be considered a resident if I moved to FL by Aug 22, 2005. (apparently the cutoff date). But, who knows...they really are being difficult! Good Luck:)
Yeah I just kept emailing them and they never responded until recently that I was being treated as a resident. I always that I would eventually be declared one. My Mom has been a resident since the mid 70's. I was born in Florida. My parents own two properties in Florida (one from the early 80s). Despite all this they still gave me a hard time. Did they give you residency eventually?
When did you get off of the deferred part of fsu? You have listed 12-10, but that doesnt seem like much of a deferral. Im kinda wondering if they just recently admitted you. Thanks

It doesnt really matter though, I'm going to a better school (in my opinion), UF
