Congrats on your acceptances! What are your chances of going to Tech? How do you rank your schools? Just curious! Good luck with the rest of your apps!

It's hard to say what they mean by the deferment. I think it's kind of like the waitlist but that it's much bigger than a waitlist would be. It was pretty vague and I'm just speculating what it could mean. Best of luck to you! Btw...what do you think of Ole Miss? I'm assuming you went there for ugrad. Did you like it there? Are there many people from the north who go there?

Hey there! Thanks for the comments! I just saw that you withdrew from Tech. You've gotten into a ton of really great schools, and I'm sure American, UofH, or SMU will accept you soon! Thanks for the withdrawal...maybe they will give me your spot! :-)

What up man. I actually go to school out of state (University of New Orleans), but my family lives in Mississippi and my residency is still there. You're right, I should have applied to UF. I did not because I could not get my application there in time because of Katrina. I didn't think they would take any out of state white boys with less than a 158; guess I was wrong. Big time congrats on UF. As for me, still waiting on Bama. If they turn me down, for sure going to Ole Miss. Even if Bama accepts me I still might go to Ole Miss. Did you go to Accepted Students Open House last week?

On 04/10

I checked my mail on 04/10 after being out of town since 04/01. I am not sure exactly what day it arrived but yes, I opened a rejection letter for SMU on 04/10.

the great acceptances! If I were you I'd go to Florida; it's a very highly ranked school. I'm just another guy with a good GPA and mediocre LSAT score. It I did a little better on that test, I would probably be deciding between UH and SMU instead of settling for Texas Tech or South Texas.
