Additional info & updates

Does anyone know my chances of getting into Cardozo's spring program? I REALLY want to go there.

Also, what are some good safety schools in NY, NJ, CT? I have my own ideas but would really like some peer review.

Got a fee waiver from Washington and Lee and Suffolk, applied last week.

Put in app for American, that's it for my reach schools, doing safeties tomorrow.

Fee waiver for Quinnipiac - yaay

Fordham App is complete, notified by e-mail

Applied to Rutgers, Newark

Applied to Quinnipiac

Is it too late to put into more safety schools, should I just leave my apps as is?....I think not...thoughts?

Got a fee waiver from Wayne Law, what's that?

Notified by Hofstra that my app has been received on the same day I submitted it, how's that for customer service?

Fee Waiver from Syracuse, is that a good school? Who cares, I'm applying.

No from Columbia, :(

Interview with Cardozo tomorrow.....nervous. I didn't even know they granted interviews.

Summary of Interview: they dont have that much space left, if they get some free spots, I'm in, if not, deferring me to May, for consideration.
(tearing out my hair and nervous)

No thank you from Fordham...depression

Cardozo called me with an acceptance! I'm in and on my way to law school.

Safety School
Monday, October 08 2007 at 08:00 PM

One to consider might be Quinnipiac University, its in CT.

schools you should apply to
Friday, May 11 2007 at 08:00 PM

You should check out Pace University, CUNY--Queens, Albany Law School, New York Law School, SUNY=Buffalo, Rutgers--Newark

QUINNIPIAC

Quinnipiac is definitely a great safety school, it's reputation has been rising rapidly - I would also push a little north and consider Suffolk Law in MA! It is awesome!

Sorry I'm an idiot - you already applied to Suffolk - GOOD LUCK!!!

More safeties
Saturday, October 27 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm not sure that these are safties but you may have an easier time getting in to Hofstra or Pace, both of which are in the NY/NJ area. Most of your schools are really competitive, and I'm not sure AA will help us that much. Try going to lsac.org and looking at their list of ABA approved schools to find some more safeties.

Congrats on getting an interview! I did say that I would be willing to start in May or September so that may be why they are not moving as quickly with my application. I like the idea of the January program though. I might give them a call.

Ok, so I called and spoke with a really nice woman who asked if I would be interested in the part-time program in May. I of course said yeah and went to my boss to have him submit another recommendation. She also said that sometimes they don't make decisions until the day that classes start on Jan. 7th. The agony! I would be okay with starting in May and she said that I would still be done in three years although January sounds pretty sweet. I still haven't heard a peep out of Fordham even though my application is complete there. How was the interview?

Omg! We both had good news today. I got a call and missed it and had my mom call them back because I didn't believe them and they offered me May admission. I practically fainted. I had my mom ask about January and they said that if there was a slot available on January 7th I would be able to start then but I am definitely in for the May program! Should I wait to hear from Fordham though? I have decisions to make and good ones! Congrats to you too!

I'm wondering if sending my app a month later than you decreased my chances for January. Aah the regrets. I still have tears of happiness though.

Advice for you
Saturday, October 21 2006 at 08:00 PM

I was your numbers twin last year. I have some advice if I may.. first off great decision on quinnipiac i applied there and got accepted last year. its an awesome school u should visit there. second, apply to more schools.. George Mason has automatic fee waiver and its a top school why is it not on your list? here i will give you some more names.. Hamline, Univ of DC, Golden Gate, Loyola Chicago, Case Western, Widener, Cleveland State, Saint Thomas (MN), Toledo, Phoenix.. all these offer free app fee. And third; consider applying to part time program you will have a better chance also not to mention you can for the most schools transfer after the first couple semesters to the FT. Wish you all the best!! I know you can do it! I will keep my eye out. :)

congrats

hey, congrats on cardozo. not even sure if you're still on this...but question: i'd love to go to cardozo - problem is, they're quite expensive, and i'd be paying with loans. do you have any thoughts on this? think it's worth it?
