Not sure, but glad to see we have similar taste in music. I only wish I could say the same about our scores. I spent a lot of time on my PS too...hope it pays off, although I'm not banking on it. Good luck w. the appl process...I'm sure many schools will be happy to have someone with real depth among their community of scholars.

Thanks....

for the kind words. I though I'd had some adversity, but wow. Sorry for your loss, and I know you'll do quite well. Brooklyn will take you. Best of luck.

First off, I love U of M. My girlfriend went there and I visited several times. I was wondering what you know about John Marshall. I really want to be in Chicago but my score doesn't cut it for the other area schools. My goal is to go there and possibly transfer, but I want to make sure it's a good school. Any advice you have is much appreciated.

you are too kind

If you wouldn't mind, I would very much like to speak to your friend who currently attends Marshall. My gf was class of 2006.

Good Luck

We have similar numbers. I think a year off was a great idea. The time I've taken off to work really helped me focus on what I want to do. Good luck.

Depaul
Tuesday, November 29 2005 at 07:00 PM

Depaul's not on the top of my list, I'd much rather be in a sunny place, and somewhere I'd like to live. I'm not really sure how these people do this part time business. I must have overlooked something, but I'll look into it if the current rejection trend continues.

Hey
Tuesday, November 29 2005 at 07:00 PM

It looks like we're both on the bubble for many of theses schools, like loyola. Good luck with it though. I transferred to U of M after my 2nd year so I don't know too many people, but Im matt hanley. Also, looking forward to going to san diego, I hope.

Sorry about Loyola

This just sucks. Personally, I thought your background would get you into a lot of the schools...I guess it really is all about the numbers. How depressing.

You are so sneaky!!! Hey I called Rutgers today....you didn't need to mail in the envelopes, coz I didn't, but they said my application is complete....call me later sucka!

Thanks

for the kind words. You have some great acceptances too. I hope our non traditional background keeps paying off for us.

Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words. Good luck with Brooklyn! One of my favorite people in the whole world goes there, so I think it's a pretty awesome place.

DePaul
Saturday, July 01 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congratulations on DePaul! Is your acceptance for FT or PT? Did you do anything special to get off the waitlist?

DePaul
Saturday, July 01 2006 at 08:00 PM

I sent in a letter of continued interest last week so hopefully that puts me over the edge! :)

weird

at least we're getting in to places!

Rutgers Newark
Monday, March 05 2007 at 07:00 PM

hey Rousseau, did you apply to Rutgers Newark using your personal experiences or with your numbers?

Rutgers
Monday, March 05 2007 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the info on Rutgers-Newark. I wanted to go to school in Chicago, but off all the schools to choose from there, I didn't feel like I had the scores to make any of the ones that interested me. I am a big cubs fan so that would have been a lot of fun, albeit detrimental to my study off law.

Hey, I didn't see you at the Depaul thing, but I just wondered what you thought about it. It seemed pretty legit to me, but it's your choice at the moment, I just wonder why. I gotta make the same decision soon. Thanks!

Good luck with Kent
Tuesday, November 29 2005 at 07:00 PM

I hope you get to go where you want. I thought depaul was nice, I thought the IP program was cool, couldn't really tell about the international stuff. Right now, I'm leaning towards Santa Clara over DePaul, due to their international program, and the weather of course. Anyway, keep the faith

any word on brooklyn?
Sunday, January 07 2007 at 07:00 PM

I also sent my Brooklyn application in several months ago and haven't heard. Do you know anything about their timeline? I've tried to call and e-mail and haven't heard anything. Thanks

I called them a while back and got the same rude response you did. I don't expect to get in, but $65 is a lot to pay to never hear back. If I hear anything, either, I will let you know. Thanks for getting back to me.

Finally heard from Brooklyn
Sunday, January 07 2007 at 07:00 PM

I never thought I'd be so happy to see a rejection letter. I still really like the school, but I was going on 7.5 months without a response. Best of luck, and I certainly hope you hear good news from them.

hey man, just updated my personal info with what I learned about Kent's PT division and switching to FT --- It's actually better than I thought. I'm a fan of DePaul too btw -- and frankly, Kent/Loyola/DePaul should all be very comparable in terms of job prospects.

I got an initial email "from the Dean" and snail mail a few days later. I applied for FT but got accepted into the PT program after giving consent for them to consider me for either one. Good luck to you!

congrats

On your decision. I'll be in Chicago if I don't get into Catholic.
