Very interesting experiences!
Yeah I think I might actually have a decent shot at U D Mercy, especially if I apply to their PT program. I have heard some really good things about Detroit and there was a great spread on the city in a really awesome fashion Mag, W. I worked in textiles for a long time, and I still read about those things as my mother and uncle are both fashion designers. Anyhow, the mag really said some great things about the city, and I am getting a little tired of Los Angeles. I am eager to learn more about what Detroit, and also UD Mercy. Thanks for the message and good luck this cycle. =)
I'm also a non-traditional applicant and first generation college grad. Do you have any idea how you're going to play this up in your PS? I've got a little bit of writers block.
I'm taking the LSAT again too... I think I had to much going on in my life.. I want a 165 that would be nice! Lol... good luck!!
I saw your posts on LSD and just wanted to wish you luck on your apps. Did you re-take the LSAT?
I noticed you were wanting to go into public interest law. Have you checked out the University of District of Columbia in Washington D.C.? They have a great public interest program. Best of luck to you!
Yes, I applied to MSU via LSAC on 10/23/06.
Have you received your letter from MSU yet?
Thanks for the comment. No indication of $$ from MSU yet. They said in the letter that they would notify me by Feb 1 if I get anything. Congrats to you too on your acceptance. Good luck on the rest of your applications!
Thanks for the comment! I'm hoping, but from what I've seen on this site today as far as other people's updates, I'm pretty confident I'm in rejection round #1. Hey, you can't win them all. But here's hoping for your "complete" to quickly and magically change to an "acceptance"! All the best.
Nope, sorry. I'm much too young to have played varsity at msu.
Hey we have similar numbers and got our dayton e-mails together. Best of Luck to you!
What do you say in a letter of continued interest? Is it long? Thank you.
Being a resident alien, I was eligible for federal student loans. I actually just became a US citizen last week.
Thanks for the kind words! I am really excited about it as well. I am trying to arrange a time to go visit it in March. Have you visited the law school at all?
Hey Thanks for the advice. Maybe we will end up at the same school! Good luck to you!
Too bad about the waitlist! Make sure to follow-up with a letter of continued interest... let me know how everything turns out...
Hi I didnt do anything special for the depaul waitlist. It was a surprise to get an acceptance from them.
i sent them a letter saying how interested i was. i would reccomend doing the same.
Can you tell me anything about U of D Mercy? I am interested in their program and I hear they have a kick ass clinic for immigration law (area I am most interested). Good luck this cycle!
