Additional info & updates

I'm really open to anyone's comments. I transferred to UM after two years, and am finishing a double major in 2 yrs. I have little clue if my numbers will work at these schools or if there are any others I should check out. This is a cool site! Thanks.

11-22-06 Loyola Chicago said they won't read apps until after the "holidays" and I will have a decision by 2/15/07.

11-27-06 DePaul said that review usually takes about 2weeks, but longer duirng Dec-Feb. This is the day they requested my report. I was told via e-mail.

12-10-06 Waitlisted at Depaul, A christmas card from Santa Clara-unexpected, but welcomed.

12-22-06 SCU accepted. Very nice! Accepted as an early action student- I think because I turned my app in early.

1-13/19-07 I've gone to "decision" at UMICH. We'll see....Ding! Goodnight. It's too cold here anyway. Life is too short to shiver.

1-25-07 Alright! 1st person this session to get rejected from loyola. I even had a specific interest in economics and the law.

2-3-07 Kent rejection. I think I should have majored in art history and spent all my time studying for the lsat. That would have made me much more ready to study law :-)

2-5-07 Thanks to all who use this site. I really think it's great that those in college and those out of school for 20 years and want to go to law school can share with and encourage each other. Thanks!!

I've also decided to update my new list of possible favorites. What can I say, I'm a libertarian.

2-20-07 I guess I need to add DePaul to my favorites. I was accepted today.

3-2-07 In at WSU, out at CU. I guess my letter of continued interest didn't get there in time.

We have similar numbers and I am also from Michigan. Good luck!

Man, we've got very similar apps. I even worked near a senator's office! However, my EC's are probably more prestigeous. ;) I see Lewis and Clark, why no Oregon?

Apparently hitting the 'back' button after you post a comment, reposts it. Sorry for the double, uh triple post. Rambo not so smart sometimes.

Good luck!!! It looks like we are similar in numbers! If you have any tips I would really appreciate them.

Best of luck to you. I'm considering adding USD and Den. later in the cycle myself

Good luck!

Hello, fellow Midwesterner. Our numbers are similar and we've applied to some of the same schools. I just wanted to say good luck to you in this process. In a few months, we'll all be on our way. :)

How did you hear you were complete at San Diego? They requested my report over a month ago and I haven't heard anything.

Hey buddy, just wanted to wish a fellow wolverine good luck with applications! I was econ as well.. didn't help the gpa for sure... We have similar numbers and def. looked at similar schools. But for now... the Rose Bowl.

Good Luck

I'm actually living in Madison at the moment but im definitely looking to relocate to a warm weather climate. I actually had the opportunity to spend a good deal of time in Santa Clara and San Jose and they are both really nice places. We'll see how the rest of the cycle goes but Im going to definitely consider Santa Clara at the end. Good luck to you.

Congrats

So I'm guessing you didn't check the box for EA but still heard early based on your comment. I didn't intentionally put EA but I was complete in time and still haven't heard. Hopefully Loyola Chicago starts getting stuff out soon.

Hi, The entire university stopped admitting people during the "freeze". The statement said that they needed time to determine how to continue the admissions process. I think UMich is a super reach for me, so I don't think it has any real impact other than making me wait a bit longer for a rejection letter!

congrats!

On Santa Clara. That's my dream school. I wish I had turned in my app early. Oh well.

Thanks

Thanks for the congrats! The acceptance was unexpected because I hadn't heard anything from them. Not a received notice or a complete notice. I was really starting to wonder if I should call and follow up and then - big envelope! I applied directly to the part time program, don't know if that makes a difference or not. Best of luck.

same numbers and undergrad
Wednesday, January 10 2007 at 07:00 PM

we both went to u of m and have the exact same numbers, weird. i was waitlisted too at depaul. are you going to write them a letter or try to sneak in through their part time program? let me know, stay in touch, and best of luck!

Grr-Loyola
Friday, December 30 2005 at 07:00 PM

Sorry to see the Loyola rejection. The little rascals went and waitlisted me. Hopefully we'll both have better luck at that other, sunnier Loyola. :)

fuck
Wednesday, January 10 2007 at 07:00 PM

you not getting into loyola has me worried. we are mirror images of each other. same school, same gpa, same lsat. wish me luck. btw, san diego is gorgeous. my sister in law lives there. btw, are you graduating this year? i graduated in 06. maybe we know some of the same people. whats your name? i am nicholas mowbray.

interesting
Wednesday, January 10 2007 at 07:00 PM

we have the same numbers and i also just got rejected at loyola. honestly, i was pretty surprised. i thought i could at least get waitlisted. my friend who also went to u of m and had a 3.2 with a 159 was waitlisted...this is so arbitrary.

DePaul
Saturday, July 01 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congratulations on DePaul! Is your acceptance for FT or PT? Did you do anything special to get off the waitlist?

weird
Wednesday, January 10 2007 at 07:00 PM

we have pretty much gotten in at the same places. i got a letter from depaul the same day you did. how strange.

USD
Wednesday, November 15 2006 at 07:00 PM

Hey, I haven't heard from USD yet. I've heard about people hearing into the summer from them, which is frustrating. The best thing to do is deposit at a school you've gotten in to, and hope you can change later. Good luck!

i liked some parts of it. their international and immigration program seem pretty legit. i thought kent though was more serious and had a more prestigious feel to it. so if i get in there, that is where i will go. let me know what you decide. if we both end up at depaul we could meet up. i just got a place to live in whicker park, so i will for sure be in chicago. email me at mowbrayn@gmail.com

Congrats on deciding on Santa Clara. I just got waitlisted there, so maybe I'll see you if I get in.

I decided on Depaul based on location and their MBA program. I am doing the jd/mba option there and it looked like somewhere I wanted to live. Good luck
