10-15 Waiting for letters....lazy profs!

10-17 Letters all in the mail...waiting on LSAC...lazy website! Also, why does washU not want a report? Fair enough...

10-24 Finally WUstl. Also Chicago says complete, but there are still more letters on the way...which STILL haven't been processed my LSAC...

10-25 It took LSAC 5 days to process my second letter...third should be forthcoming by the end of the week. Completions should be close behind

10-31 All letters processed and sent. Complete at GULC via status checker thingy.

11-02 Emailed complete at Cornell...should be getting more of these soon...and late day completion from Vandy.

11-06 E-Complete at UIUC, letter from UMich, complete.

11-08 Took a tour of UMich this past weekend. I loved the campus and the people...my fingers are crossed!

11-09 Have been complete at WuStl since Oct 20. They sent mail notice to my home address.

11-27 Ok, begin the two-weeks-till-panic countdown. All's quiet on the lawschool front...

11-28 Notified complete from Duke...that only took 6 weeks...

12-07 Well, at least we got the cycle started on the right foot. Dinged at GULC. Yeah, it was a reach, but ouch.

12-13 Deferred at UMich. Better than a rejection, I guess.

12-18 Ditto for Cornell.

12-27 Got paranoid and called IU-B. I am complete there and have been for some time.

1-03 Ditto for ND and GW.

1-05 WOOOOOOO I'm going to law school!! YAYAY! Accepted to UIUC with a nice and quite surprising scholatship offer. 8x10 white envelope.
...and on the 'Provisional List" for Notre Dame, but I'm not letting them ruin my day.

1-15 Just got some mail from home...full tuition scholarship to IUB! That. Is. Awesome.

1-22 Dinged at Chitown...no surprise there. It was a superreach.

1-24 IN at WUSTL via email...financial info coming in a week or two.

2-12 Dinged at UMich C'est la vie.

3-10 Waitlisted at Vandy. Their medians were 3.7/166 last year. Hmm.

3-15 Add another waitlist to the stack. GW was my #1 choice remaining. Shit.

3-31 De facto withdrawing my application to IUB by not sending my place-holder email. Despite the free tuition, I just can't justify passing on either WUStL or UIUC for them.

4-8 Barring a freak merit scholarship from GW off the wait list or an equally freak Cornell acceptance, I'm Wustl class of '10. Good luck everyone.

4-9 Unceremonious rejection from Duke after having heard nothing for 5 months. Efff those guys. Dates April 5, small white envelope.

4-13 Wustl upped my $ offer by 2k a year right before the deposit due date. Nice move, but I'm hoping for more as the summer continues.

4-30 In at ND off the WL. Most likely declining in a few days.

5-31 Just visited St. Louis and LOVED it, found an apartment, and finalized my finaid/deposits. I'm going to Wash U.

Hey, we have similar numbers and (I think) similar situations with LOR. Did all three of your letters get sent with your initial LSDAS report, or were any sent as updates? If so, how long did the update take?

Do you really think that the CHIASHU numbers are accurate? I've heard a lot of information/opinions either way. I'm scared that I submitted apps to schools that are so far out of my rance... thoughts?

Hi! yeah, good luck. i think the 166 will give you a major boost though! good luck with your apps! There's room for both of us at the 6 schools we overlap on!

Good luck!

Sorry about Gtown. My boyfriend just got rejected from there too with almost identical numbers. Deferral from Michigan isn't bad though; I'm praying Penn will defer me EA instead of outright rejecting :) Good luck with the rest of the schools on your list - I think you will be getting a lot of acceptances!

Dude!

Georgetown. I can't believe it. Keep on truckin' and it'll work itself out. Still, I'm semi-dumbfounded.

You'll have some excellent options at the end of the day.

Hey fellow ND waitlister. How did Illinois notify you of your acceptance? And congrats on the scholarship!

Vanderbilt

Have you gone to decision at Vandy yet? We have identical numbers and very similar backgrounds (large public schools, graduating in 3 years, straight from UG). Best of luck for the rest of the cycle.

On the rest of your aps! Looks like you have some awesome options under your belt already! Where are you leaning towards?

Waitlist
Monday, November 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

Hey man I'll be watching you. We're in the wait-list club. Are you leaning towards Wash U in St. Louis now? I think it's the best school on your list right now (not just because of the ranking). But I'm sure you'll get in on the waitlist. Especially at GW. That school has a huge entering class and they're trying real hard to get T14 students which they won't get. Just make sure you want to live in DC afterwards. Good luck!

WashU

Congrats on WashU. Have you visited and if so what were your impressions?

AU vs IU
Tuesday, April 03 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm leaning towards AU. I grew up outside DC and apprenticed at a place just down the street from AU. I like big cities and I'm just not sure I can survive three years in Bloomington. What I am really holding out for is WashU, but I have a feeling I will have a tough time getting off that waitlist.
