Additional info & updates

11/2 I got my first acceptance! I'm in at Texas. I received notification from a small off white envelope. Its a relief to know that some school wants me.

11/8 GULC acceptance in the mail today. Got a nice personal note from Dean Corblatt (except I think everyone gets this, ah well).

11/21 Mich acceptance today! I'm really happy about this one. I think Mich is definately in my top 3.

12/16 Received acceptance packet today from UCLA and USD, getting love from Southern Cal! Hopefully UCLA will be kind enough to throw some money my way.

12/18 In at ND, gotta love the Irish!

12/23 Received acceptance packet from ND, offered me a 16000/yr scholarship! This is going to be a tough decision. (especially if UMich doesn't give me any money)

12/26 Received acceptance packet from USC and full scholarship to USD.

12/27 More mail! Acceptance to Arizona plus a scholarship for 14K first year and 10K second and third years, probably not enough to sway me from my other choices.

1/9 Held at Harvard, not bad considering I was expecting a flat out rejection. Now I just get to hope and pray that I get in.

1/11 Accepted at Vanderbilt, probably won't attend.

1/15 In at Virginia! This is somewhat suprising because they say they still take the average LSAT. I think the scales still tip towards Michigan (especially because there was no mention of a scholarship).

1/22 Held at Chicago. A little discouraging but I still have a chance.

Phone call from Dean Aguilar, In at Utah.

1/24 In at U of Washington! This would be tempting (especially if I get a scholarship).

1/25 "Passed initial review" at Boalt, don't they realize they're my number one choice?

1/31 "Reserved" at Columbia, basically its a waitlist. Kinda sucks, but whatever.

2/2 Harvard call email. Is this for real?

2/5 Phone call from Toby, hope it went well.

3/5 Boalt ding, ah well. I accepted my fate there weeks ago.

In the past month, I've got quite a few scholarship offers from various schools. I appealed (successfully) for money at UMich and USC.

Leaning towards UMich right now.

4/7 Inevitable Harvard ding, really not too upset about this one.

GO BLUE!!!!

Thanks. I'm hoping my LSAT will be high enough for consideration at Georgetown. I guess I'll know by next month. I would also love to receive money from any school.

Thanks

Thanks, its comforting to know that the LSAT will be done and over with in 3 weeks. I haven't visited BC yet but from what I've seen from looking at their website and other sources it seems pretty nice. I think you should be fine with a 167 at BC if I were you I wouldn't retake, but if you think you can improve then go for it.

Just saying is all...

you never know about BC. Ha ha ha ... Take it from me.

Just because everyone gets a handwritten note from Cornblatt doesn't make it any less special! Congrats on the acceptance! PS. Don't go to UT!!! :P (j/k)

Your acceptance at G-town is giving me hope! Did you write an addendum on the LSAT? Crossing my fingers that the top schools really will take the new ABA policy...

Yes, I wrote an addendum for all my schools concerning my lsat. It looks like most will be considering the higher score and the GULC acceptance is definately a good sign.

Congrats on GULC!

Good to see them leaning more toward the higher score. I'm hoping they do the same for me. Good luck w/ the rest!

Dear spud, i have nearly identical numbers to you (LSAC GPA: 3.92, LSAT: 166). I was wondering if you had any stellar soft factors or a stellar personal statement u wrote. if you have time, would u mind critiquing mine? thanks
