Congrats on Duke to you too! It definitly was a surprise on a Sunday! Does your Duke status checker still say no decision? Since we got in on Sunday, maybe they haven't updated it yet, but it's making me nervous that they admitted me by mistake!

Ok, mine is doing the same thing (where it can't pull my record). I think it's a good sign that our status checkers are both being weird. I mean, they didn't accidentally admit BOTH of us. The system must just be updating. Very relieved.

Well, since the TS e-mail is a Friday thing, I can check my e-mail box obsessively tomorrow. Congrats on Boalt Hall. I'm kinda starting to worry about them. I know its earlier, but it seems like a lot of the stronger candidates heard back within two weeks of going complete.

Yeah, I tried to apply early, as you did. I'm sure that you'd be accepted to those schools too, if you'd applied. I haven't heard from Harvard, and I wonder if it's because I didn't have a 4.0 or go to a top undergrad school. Here's to both of us getting an email next Friday!

  • Monday, December 17 2007 at 03:08 PM

I certainly hope so. Someone on TLS said that the people who interviewed the equivalent of this week last cycle didn't hear about acceptances until after the first. Anyway, I hope we get interviewed tomorrow, so at least that stress will be gone. Best of luck.

First off, congratulations! I bet the Toby Stock call in June was at the top of the list of \"best phone calls ever.\" We have similar stats, and I\'m applying for next cycle. I know you are probably being bombarded with people asking how you got into Harvard off the waitlist, etc., but I was wondering if you\'d be able to e-mail me and let me know what you did to express your continued interest in the school and where you chose to go before you knew you were off the waitlist (NYU?). I\'d appreciate it. Thanks so much for your help and time, and congrats again!

  • Thursday, July 24 2008 at 07:41 AM

so unbelievable and awesome that you got off the waitlist in july -- you\'re such a wonderful example of why patience is a virtue -- best of luck on the decision making!

- idapie18
  • congratulations!
  • Tuesday, July 29 2008 at 10:41 PM

hey congrats on stanford! sorry not to get back to you sooner--i don\\\\\\\'t check this thing too often anymore. for me, choosing stanford over harvard was a no brainer. born and raised in CA with no intentions of ever leaving, so it\\\\\\\'s just the perfect school for me. anyway, it looks like you already decided, so hopefully you feel like you made the right choice. (you did.) i\\\\\\\'ll be seeing you very soon here!

- socalbruin
  • question -- how\'d you get your apps in
  • Tuesday, August 05 2008 at 01:21 PM

I\'m working on my 08-09 apps now, and I\'m wondering how you got your apps in so quickly (by the end of September) -- did you just go ahead and work off the past year\'s paper apps if they were available and submit everything when this year\'s apps finally went up online? Congratulations and thanks!

- idapie18
  • Kind of fitting
  • Tuesday, August 05 2008 at 05:06 PM

After Harvard jerked you around so much, you get to reject them. Congrats on Stanford. I think your choice will be looking very good (and mine very bad) by the time winter rolls around.

- LuckyAC
  • thanks!
  • Wednesday, August 06 2008 at 11:25 AM

Okay, that sounds like what I\'m doing now -- working through PS statements, the lovely Yale 250, and other essays. Hopefully a little break from the LSAT and refocusing on other parts of my app will help me get over a not so fun wall I\'ve hit with prep. I\'m still so happy for you -- SLS got a balla ;)
