Advice: apply early; if you have a good prelaw advisor, listen to her; the LSAT is probably the most important part of your application so work your butt off to do well; only apply to places you'll actually attend; don't pay for safeties; write optional essays...good luck!

  • Friday, July 07 2006 at 05:04 PM will be able to go to wherever you wish. It looks like you prefer the southern schools. Is that why no Harvard, Penn, etc? Best of luck on your top choices!

Haven't done a lot of thinking on SLS either as I wasn't thinking I'd get in, at least not so early on in the process... to me, the small feel of SLS has both advantages and disadvantages, so that's one of the main factors I'm weighing... also, I'd rather be in Boston than Palo Alto in terms of the cities themselves, but then again, California has the weather! Etc. So let's just say I'm glad I've got until May 1 to sort this out! :)

Did you have your recommenders turn in the specific Stanford form, or did you just have LSAC send them the letters?

  • Monday, February 19 2007 at 04:03 PM

thank you! my cycle is over now as I'm withdrawing from Stanford, the only place I haven't heard back from. Kind of sad that it's going to stay 'pending' forever, but what can you do. I haven't gotten anything in the mail from Yale yet, but I doubt I'll be able to make the AS weekends. Maybe we'll see each other in August though :)

- letylyf
  • thanks!
  • Monday, March 05 2007 at 01:04 PM

At the HLS admit weekend! I can't believe that I sat right behind you during Dean Kagan's session without even knowing it. (Sorry for kicking over your purse, btw.) Anyway, I hope to get a chance to hang out with you at the upcoming Stanford/Yale weekends!

- mike245
  • Yay Yale!
  • Monday, April 23 2007 at 11:22 AM

You actually put that you're attending, whoohoo. I haven't gotten that far yet. But yay YLS 2010! :D See you in three months...
