I think I went a little crazy with potential schools to apply to. I seriously doubt I'll apply to all of them. I'm definitely not applying to cooley. I got a fee waiver from Northwestern so I'm going to apply there eventually. Good luck to you too.
you should apply to all the schools you would feel comfortable attending. i also think you should spread your apps out over the whole top 25. with your gpa, you should have some good results. thanx for the luck. howard is your top choice? what happens if you get into nw? i'm willing to bet you get into both miami and husl. oh, i talked to an adcom and was told that an increased score in feb could help if you get waitlisted.
But you've got great Extracurrics. -- I know you'll get in just about everywhere. Good luck to you!
Congrats on your aceptance to STLU Hope you get into some other LS's....good luck
Congrats! Hopefully there are more on the way!
on depaul! nice bit of change too. i might see you there.
for the congrats. you should send out that nw app. you never know. they sent you a fee waiver for a reason. what is your top choice?
on some great acceptances!!!
so much, you have some great scholarship offers!! Good Luck with the rest of your schools, what is your number 1 right now?
...and good luck for the rest of the cycle! You have some great options already, and I'm 100% sure you'll have even more in the coming weeks. Good luck deciding!! -- CS
If you haven't gotten your rejection yet, there's hope!! Thanks for the congrats girl!
Congrats on Tulane! Any word on $$ yet?
I hope the need-based option works out for you too. Tulane's kinda pricy! I may or may not visit -- haven't decided yet. It kinda depends on what I hear (or don't hear) from my pending schools this month. If I do visit, though, it will be on the April 7 visit day. Good luck with the rest of your apps!
Bet, you're on a roll. Thanks for the kind words. Keep killin em' BNM
I just visited SLU as well and I fully concur with your conclusion about it.... loved the city, nice school, nice location, law school itself not very impressive... oh and congrats on your acceptances!
I see your notes about SLU and Tulane and was hoping you could say more on the difference between the two besides the obvious (rankings, salaries, etc.). Right now, I am trying to decide between Tulane or SLU, and it is turning out to be a tough decision for me. I might be visiting SLU at the end of the month, but I don't think I'll be able to get down to New Orleans before seat deposit deadlines -- so I am hoping to gather all the info I can to make the right decision. Thanks!
I appreciate your reply to my Tulane v. SLU post. At this point, I am leaning toward Tulane, but as is to be expected, this is certainly a tough decision to make. I don't think it'd be as hard if I was choosing between schools within the same part of the country. I'll probably make my final decision by the end of the month/first week of April, assuming I don't hear any positive news from either Iowa or Illinois. Best, bajd777
When are you expecting to hear back from Wash U? I applied there about the same time you did but still haven't heard anything yet.
The last thing I got from them stated that my application was complete. There has been no other indication from them about what their final decision is.
Hope to see you at Tulane!
See!!!! They cannot afford to lose people like! us! I mean obviously my GPA isn't the greatest ( nothing like you!!!) but I mean come on! I wasn't surprised at the treatment I recieved, but when I was in UG I could always use the "I pay 25gs" line to get them to do what I want...I couldn't cop that attitude with themthis time...I actually know there is no way I would go there at this point, but I can't help it, I want an acceptance from them, I love HU still. They install this HU pride chip when you enroll, see we grads just chalk it up to the "HU experience" Congrats on Tulane, 30gs is a whole heck of alot. How's the whole NO area recovering?
Congrats on The acceptance and the $$ to Tulane. Hope to see you there!
Wow...so do u plan on attending HU..ur so lucky u got in!do u mind sharing what ur LSAT # is?
Thanx 4 ur encouragement, i don't care how crappy some of the folks at howard's adm office are though...i just want a chance...LOL so have u decided exactly where u plan to go yet? W/ ur passion I'm sure u'll be successful anywhere future ESQUIRE!-)
Girl u read my mind, I contacted Howard, and sent a letter to Dean McGahee but have yet to get a response...Also, one of mentors' there is really trying...i don't know what else to do...as a matter of fact, i met Dean McGahee 2yrs ago, and I'm sure he remembers me..LOL The only other recourse is to visit the school again, and this time have a placard attached to my body saying ''FORGIVE MY TRANSGRESSIONS ON THE LSAT"1 MORE CHANCE PLEASE... do this one for Charles Hamilton Houston, and Justice Marshall!lol -)
I was planning on sending out my deposit to Tulane this week, but I received an acceptance from Howard today. Im having a hard time trying to decide where to go.
Demographics was playing a big part in my decision. I went to an undergrad that was 4% AA. I've thought about this over the past few days and realized that Tulane is a great school and 25 a year is not too shabby either. So, Im mailing out my deposit to Tulane on Monday.
Nope just Howard. My deposit is going to Tulane.(Unless I get soome obscene amount of money from some other school in the next 12 hours). I've always wanted to attend Tulane so I am happy. Are you going down there this summer to look for an apartment? I was thinking about applying to on campus housing just so I could have one less thing to think about.
Thanks for the craigslist tip. I did a little research and saw a few thing that were within my price range. I might be heading down there for the Jazz Fest so I might take a look around the other places you told me. I have not yet beento an accepted students day so I yet to see New Orleans and the Tulane Campus. I am soo excited. Can't wait. what state are you from by the way.
Im currently living in New York City where I share a three bedroom apartment for 2,300. So Rent in NOLA is looking good to me.
Hey, did you get that e-mail frrom Howard today. It talks about the number of firms that recruit on campus annually. I compared it with Tulane and Howard has three times as many recruiters on campus as Tulane does....Im starting to wonder...
congrats on all of your acceptances and scholarships. i'll be applying next year and Tulane is most def high on my list. just wondering if you could offer any tips, advice, etc... also, i see you said Ole Miss is basically a full ride for you so I'm assuming you're from Da 'Sip too? what part?
congrats on tulane. see you there in a few months =-)
Did you ever hear anything back about the Houston WL? I hear they've been sending out some letters, but I'm still in the dark... Congrats on Tulane! I have a friend who will be your classmate!
how can you have a list with both cooley and nw on it? good luck this cycle
