cooley?

how can you have a list with both cooley and nw on it? good luck this cycle

not applying...
Saturday, October 22 2005 at 08:00 PM

I think I went a little crazy with potential schools to apply to. I seriously doubt I'll apply to all of them. I'm definitely not applying to cooley. I got a fee waiver from Northwestern so I'm going to apply there eventually. Good luck to you too.

hi, again
Saturday, September 17 2005 at 08:00 PM

you should apply to all the schools you would feel comfortable attending. i also think you should spread your apps out over the whole top 25. with your gpa, you should have some good results. thanx for the luck. howard is your top choice? what happens if you get into nw? i'm willing to bet you get into both miami and husl. oh, i talked to an adcom and was told that an increased score in feb could help if you get waitlisted.

Congrats on Tulane! Any word on $$ yet?

Tulane Visit
Friday, February 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

I hope the need-based option works out for you too. Tulane's kinda pricy! I may or may not visit -- haven't decided yet. It kinda depends on what I hear (or don't hear) from my pending schools this month. If I do visit, though, it will be on the April 7 visit day. Good luck with the rest of your apps!

Thanks!!!

Bet, you're on a roll. Thanks for the kind words. Keep killin em' BNM

SLU
Monday, February 06 2006 at 07:00 PM

I just visited SLU as well and I fully concur with your conclusion about it.... loved the city, nice school, nice location, law school itself not very impressive... oh and congrats on your acceptances!

Any thoughts?
Friday, February 24 2006 at 07:00 PM

I see your notes about SLU and Tulane and was hoping you could say more on the difference between the two besides the obvious (rankings, salaries, etc.). Right now, I am trying to decide between Tulane or SLU, and it is turning out to be a tough decision for me. I might be visiting SLU at the end of the month, but I don't think I'll be able to get down to New Orleans before seat deposit deadlines -- so I am hoping to gather all the info I can to make the right decision. Thanks!

Thanks

I appreciate your reply to my Tulane v. SLU post. At this point, I am leaning toward Tulane, but as is to be expected, this is certainly a tough decision to make. I don't think it'd be as hard if I was choosing between schools within the same part of the country. I'll probably make my final decision by the end of the month/first week of April, assuming I don't hear any positive news from either Iowa or Illinois. Best, bajd777

When are you expecting to hear back from Wash U? I applied there about the same time you did but still haven't heard anything yet.

The last thing I got from them stated that my application was complete. There has been no other indication from them about what their final decision is.

Tulane!
Thursday, November 17 2005 at 07:00 PM

Hope to see you at Tulane!

Oh HU...
Monday, December 19 2005 at 07:00 PM

See!!!! They cannot afford to lose people like! us! I mean obviously my GPA isn't the greatest ( nothing like you!!!) but I mean come on! I wasn't surprised at the treatment I recieved, but when I was in UG I could always use the "I pay 25gs" line to get them to do what I want...I couldn't cop that attitude with themthis time...I actually know there is no way I would go there at this point, but I can't help it, I want an acceptance from them, I love HU still. They install this HU pride chip when you enroll, see we grads just chalk it up to the "HU experience" Congrats on Tulane, 30gs is a whole heck of alot. How's the whole NO area recovering?

Congrats

Tulane
Monday, April 03 2006 at 08:00 PM

I was planning on sending out my deposit to Tulane this week, but I received an acceptance from Howard today. Im having a hard time trying to decide where to go.

Howard vs. Tulane
Monday, April 03 2006 at 08:00 PM

Demographics was playing a big part in my decision. I went to an undergrad that was 4% AA. I've thought about this over the past few days and realized that Tulane is a great school and 25 a year is not too shabby either. So, Im mailing out my deposit to Tulane on Monday.

Howard vs. Tulane
Monday, April 03 2006 at 08:00 PM

Nope just Howard. My deposit is going to Tulane.(Unless I get soome obscene amount of money from some other school in the next 12 hours). I've always wanted to attend Tulane so I am happy. Are you going down there this summer to look for an apartment? I was thinking about applying to on campus housing just so I could have one less thing to think about.

Tulane
Monday, April 03 2006 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for the craigslist tip. I did a little research and saw a few thing that were within my price range. I might be heading down there for the Jazz Fest so I might take a look around the other places you told me. I have not yet beento an accepted students day so I yet to see New Orleans and the Tulane Campus. I am soo excited. Can't wait. what state are you from by the way.

RENT
Monday, April 03 2006 at 08:00 PM

Im currently living in New York City where I share a three bedroom apartment for 2,300. So Rent in NOLA is looking good to me.

Hey, did you get that e-mail frrom Howard today. It talks about the number of firms that recruit on campus annually. I compared it with Tulane and Howard has three times as many recruiters on campus as Tulane does....Im starting to wonder...

hi

Houston WL
Sunday, June 18 2006 at 08:00 PM

Did you ever hear anything back about the Houston WL? I hear they've been sending out some letters, but I'm still in the dark... Congrats on Tulane! I have a friend who will be your classmate!
