Additional info & updates

My LSAT score wasn't what I wanted, so I'm retaking in Dec, but sending in apps with my current score
Trying to cast a pretty wide net of schools...which seems to be working out pretty freaking well!
Just want to give this a shot, not getting my hopes up too high
Pretty much filling out the apps so I can get kick ass rejection letters that I can frame

Took the LSAT in Dec, so I am anxiously awaiting the results! I'm not sure if schools will hold off on making their desicions until that comes in, but we'll see...

Scholarship numbers are totals over 3 years

11/22 - AU Acceptance - Call from the Dean!

1/16 - Emory Acceptance - Big white envelope in the mail - Quite a suprise!

1/19 - In at Notre Dame!! An email from Admissions, I thought it was going to be a complete notice.

1/22 - Rejected at Michigan! First of this cycle and certainly not the last. Getting the letter at least makes it final. Na ja.

1/22 - WUSTL acceptance via email. Pretty sweet!

1/23 - Out at NYU. No Suprise, I wish they had underlined "sorry" like at Michigan.

1/26 - Deferred at Northwestern, at least that's what I think being on hold means. I'm very excited that is wasn't just a flat out rejection!

1/26 - In at Temple. Pretty sweet!

1/31 - In at Loyola.

2/1 - In at Rutgers apparently...I didn't even know that they had a status checker

2/1- In at Nova...sent to my home address...I asked my mom to look through my mail for something else and she found the acceptance.

2/2 - Wake Forest Acceptance...no mention of scholarships

2/8 - In at Case, no mention of scholarship money

2/9 - Waitlisted at Duke...did not see that coming, but excited about it!

2/9 - On the waitlist at GEORGETOWN!!! I'm so excited, so excited, so excited! I know it doesn't mean I'm in at least it wasn't a rejection!

2/16 - Boalt Rejection sent to my perm. address.

2/23 - Waitlisted at BC...this has not been a good 2 weeks : (

2/27 - ACCEPTED at GULC part-time!!!! WoooHoooo!!!!! : )

2/27 - Out at UC-Davis via status checker...I am not doing well with the UC schools

3/2 - Out at HHHHavard, not a shock in the least bit, at least it was on official letterhead and not just plain paper, I feel special.

3/5 - Haven't gotten my letter yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm out at UVA, just getting it out of the way now.
EDIT: Priority non-resident waitlist, which is pretty awesome!

*Stats are approx. will give exact numbers at the end of the cycle!

Good work!

Wow~

I thought I applied to a lot of schools! I thnk it's important to apply as many as possible since it's such a HUGE investment. Kudos on casting a big net~ Hopefully you'll get into all of them! (maybe after I get in of course... lol)

congrats on american

you applied to like a million schools!! that must have cost a FORTUNE

It can't hurt
Tuesday, August 15 2006 at 08:00 PM

Although I know that a bunch of the schools are long shots, in my opinion it can't hurt. If I only applied to school that I thought I would get into, and then I got in, I think I would wonder about those reach schools. The worst they can do it reject you. I just don't want to have any regrets after this cycle!

Good luck!

Good luck to you. More choices the better. 30+ on your list will definately be worth it. I know it will be for me.

nice list of schools!

Congrats on American. I'm still waiting on them and am encouraged to see another 3.1 GPA make it! When and how did they notify you that you were complete? I haven't heard anything back from them.

You Beat Me

Thanks

for the congrats. The dean called me a few days before Thanksgiving, let me just say it was quite a shock! The turn around time on the whole application wasn't expected.

Congrats

On Emory. I just got in too... our numbers are fairly close. Good luck on the rest of the cycle!

Thanks

It was totally unexpected! I've been obsessing about the schools with status checkers, so getting a big envelope was a welcomed suprise.

thanks, and GL to you.

35 apps!
Friday, September 29 2006 at 08:00 PM

And I thought I went overboard! But seriously, this is such a huge deal, you might as well cast as large a net as possilbe if you have the money. Good luck to us - if we get anywhere near a 50% acceptance rate, we'll have a nice selection. You've already got a few winners there.

Congrats and Good Luck!
Friday, October 06 2006 at 08:00 PM

Hey - I noticed we applied to like 9 of the same schools and that our index numbers work out to be pretty similar. I just wanted to say congrats on your acceptances and good luck on the rest! Maybe I'll see you at one of these places next year

I see we both got wailisted today. What do you think are chances are of getting off? It's still pretty early and a lot of people are still going to withdraw.

Best wishes

Good luck with this cycle and I hope you get into your first choice. What is it, by the way? Also, did you pay for all of those applications? No fee waivers whatsoever??

Oops...
Tuesday, August 15 2006 at 08:00 PM

I had my mother read me the letter word for word and guess what?...it was from Boalt not USC...she was confused, "but it said UC something, I just thought it was a typo or something." Oh parents...parents indeed.

Fixed

All better now :)

Congrats
Wednesday, November 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

On all your accpetances so far. I see that you have a lot of apps still pending. I wish you the best with all of those. Of the schools you have been accpeted, which ones are you seriously considering so far. I know personally I'm having a hard time making my mind up especially considering I'm not even done with the cycle yet. I've seen you on LSD and we have nearly identical numbers so I'm hoping we both get some more good news really soon.

WOW
Wednesday, January 24 2007 at 07:00 PM

your #'s make me want to retake my lsat and get more work experience... way to go thus far

UC schools suck.
Saturday, December 23 2006 at 07:00 PM

seriously...they must be gpa centric or something.

so is it UND or GULC?
Saturday, December 23 2006 at 07:00 PM

im hoping for either one to except me...

As far as...
Tuesday, August 15 2006 at 08:00 PM

I Know Im Late
Wednesday, November 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

But Congrats on G-Town. I see that you say you are leaning towards there now. Best wishes with everything.

Thanks!
Tuesday, August 15 2006 at 08:00 PM

Yeah visiting the GULC soon...
