- Worked full time during school to help family out during crisis.

I love the Chicago area, and would like to attend school in that area in hopes of practicing there once I am all growed up. My choice is of course influenced by scholarship money from some schools. I will make schools vis once I have gotten a decision.

11-17-07 - Maybe some proof that admission committees do not read personal statements. I was deferred today from Akron, with an essay I put [insert law school name here]...... Hmmmmm

11-30-07 - Rec. phone call from SIU, missed the call. Called back, accepted! One of the better schools so far this cycle, and a nice little scholarship, even better after I qualify for instate tuition after 6 months.

12-01-07 - LSU ding ding ding! First, of the many I am sure, rejection of the cycle. I knew I didn't really have a chance anyways, but to reject this quick.....uppity bastards. I only applied there because I thought the football team was cool, but now I hope the LSU Tigers lose their bowl game.

12-05-07 - Phone call from Ms. Ekpo, the dean of admissions at Florida A&M College of Law. Accepted! Excellent, I really like the Orlando area, and I would like to see that school.

12-08-07 - Accepted to TJSL with nice little scholarship. Letter dated 12/4.

12-10-07 - Double ding! Miami and DePaul. Miami does not bother me, but DePaul does a little.....bastards.

12-17-07 - It's always a good day when 3 acceptances come in and 0 rejections! In via who knows what at Widener, Capital, and Charlotte. I have no idea because I am at my parents house recuperating from knee surgery. Thank god I have an operative back at the mailbox for me, otherwise this would really really suck!

12-22-07 - Alright, in at John Marshall. So Chicago is still a possibility, no mention of scholarship money according to my informant. Feels good!

12-24-07 - A very merry Christmas indeed. Accepted today at St Thomas & Cleveland State. Big letter sized envelope from St Thomas, CSU was big fat regular sized envelope packed with info.

01-08-08 - Accepted Toledo PT Day program as well as at Ohio Northern. No mention of money so far from ON. Got a nice free shirt from U of St Thomas the other day.....that was pretty cool.

01-17-08 - Texas Tech.....they have a nice way of saying waitlisted, and accepted at Mississippi College "A Christian University"....... though that sounded condescending, I would probably love the republican slant at that school.

01-18-08 - U of Tenn.....reject....not shocked...

02-02-08 - It has been awhile. So.... I officially have not received really good news in about a month, and it is getting really old. Rejected today at Stetson and Loyola. Couldn't care less about Stetson, but Loyola hurt. As mentioned previously, I really want to go to Chicago.... but it is looking a little less viable now a days.....son of a bitch. Wait listed at Loyola NO, so they dont immediately hate me....THANKS! SIU still seems to be my best choice so far...... we shall see in a few more months!

02-05-08 - Thanks Hofstra.... didn't want to go there anyway. It was free....come on.

02-19-08 - NIU placed me on hold..... I will not add to NIU's issues, but I am leaning towards SIU anyway....thanks yet again!

02-22-08 - Well the most exciting info I have had in a few week's or so.....Texas Wesleyan online status check flipped over to decision yesterday, sooooooooo I am willing to believe another acceptance is on the way. But we shall see! So exciting! Other news: I think I am pretty much set with Southern Ill. Still waiting for a few of the schools to respond, but I visited the campus and everything seemed to be on the up and up. So most likely Carbondale here I come, I will start withdrawing apps from schools to free up room soon enough.

02-27-08 - Rejected at Denver... big shocker there, waitlisted at Texas Wesleyan which really surprised me.... who do Texas Wesleyan think they are!?

03-07-08 - MSU rejection! Wow, thanks! I would rather go to SIU anyway, even if I did live across the street!

03-08-08 - I don't remember applying to La Verne, but I was accepted with a nice grant.... Good stuff..... I need to go through and start withdrawing to help people out, I have just been extremely busy lately! Maybe in the next week I will take care of that!

03-10-08 - Starting the withdraw process. I am pretty set on SIU but it really makes you look into each school to ensure each one if not right for you. It's a surreal experience considering a year ago I was pretty sure I was going to Cooley... now I have excellent...excellent...excellent options!

03-14-08 - Still withdrawing from schools. Also I have gotten very bold in asking schools for more $, I will let everybody know how this works out and what the letter says.

03-15-08 - It feels really good to withdraw from schools....its like a big F you to schools that have rejected me in a way (yes I know I am projecting), but these schools reject so many people each year, its good to reject them every so often.

03-28-08 - Money is off to SIU to hold my seat. My cycle is pretty much over, I haven't heard at all from a few schools which surprises me (especially since some I sent back in OCT). Oh well, tip back one later for the great cycle, with its ups and downs, but overall I think SIU is a awesome school and I look forward to August!
