Love it - like we have top schools as comparable to those down south. Similar apps - best of luck!
No east coast schools for me. I'm pretty much set on Chicago but it will depend on how successful my husband is in finding a job there. Good luck in your application cycle.
...or Yale for that matter?
well good luck to you too. BTW, not interested in yale? on chiatsu, our numbers are about a 20% chance! (yours probably a little higher) think about it
I figured if I don't feel that I did much better, I will cancel. Good luck to you with applications!
I guess I should've listened to everyone who said don't retake. You did the right thing by keeping your score. Good luck with all of your applications. I'm sure there will be some great acceptances in the mail for you in just a few short months.
Thanks for your note. We do have similar numbers, but if I recall correctly from LSD, you have better soft factors. I will be watching you too. Best of luck!
Thanks for the kind words, I'll be cheering for you too. I haven't really researched any schools yet - I'll wait to see where I get in and then do some research. Your first choice?
Congrats on Georgetown, what a fantastic start to the cycle! (And many more acceptances to come!!)
I did have a first choice (CLS) until Toby Stock called- oh man, now my head's all over the place and I have no idea what my first choice is! How about you?
I feel the sae way as mpark...I thought it would probably be Columbia (were I to get in) until the Harvard interest, which was surprising. It's looking good for people in our numbers range (knocks on wood).
on your acceptances! I'm sure you've got a lot more coming to you. So you're not applying to NYU either? ;-)
...I'm the only lsn user who's mother has left a comment on their wall.
in response to your post about why i went ED at UVA... i just knew that was where i wanted to go, and wanted to take every precaution to make sure i got in... not the best financial choice, but I think it was the right move
Thanks so much : ) Penn absolutely made my holidays. I'm sure you'll get your call soon!
Thanks for the encouragement. I sure hope you're right. Congratulations on the acceptance. I can't say I'm terribly surprised with those big numbers you've got there, but it must be exciting nonetheless. Just promise you'll withdraw as soon as Toby Stock gives you the nod. Unless you're really going for Penn, in which case I hope to meet you in the Fall. Good luck!
Your congratulations that is. Michigan, Penn, and Virginia were my top picks (all equal) at the start of this process and Michigan probably clinched it today. You have outstanding numbers and I wouldn't be surprised if you got an equally lucrative offer from one of your main schools. I have no doubts you'd wear a Hamilton quite well. Thanks again! ~Reach
I don't know yet. I'm very conflicted but I probably won't be able to go to Michigan (although I would love to) since my husband already accepted a job in Chicago. Congrats on Penn. I know you've been waiting for that one
on GULC, Michigan, and Penn. Are you leaning towards any schools in particular?
leaning toward Penn. Ivy League and an awesome city...what more could a girl want?
Thanks, Saja! Congrats on getting into both Penn and UVa, and good luck on your last two apps! So is it looking like Penn right now for you???
You have outstanding chances of big money at Penn, but good luck anyway! Has Penn sent out scholarship invites yet?
Surprise! Just informed of Michigan package received at home today...thanks for the karma!
between Penn and columbia, impatiently waiting word from chicago. why didn't you apply there, if you don't mind me asking?
Hey there, we are bascially numbers twins. I just received the Harvard phone call e-mail last Friday. I am wondering: did you?
You have a tough decision ahead of you--are you still leaning towards Penn?
In that case, it's 2000 that's the new 1918.
Thanks for the kind words and congrats on all your phenomenal acceptances. I wish you the best of luck at Harvard...in a completely altruistic sense, one which has no bearing on the possibility of a spot opening up for me at Columbia. I'm really looking forward to Penn's ASW, too, though.
Thanks for the well wishes. I won't hear about it till next week, so I'm trying not to think about it! How the Penn/CLS decision going? Are Mich/UVA out of the running?
Thanks and it was need-based grants. Received an e-mail yesterday afternoon with a link to Penn's fin aid page. I'm actually quite surprised at the total as I haven't gotten anywhere near this much need-based money at other schools. Pleasantly surprised, of course. Are you going to the ASW?
Hmm probably Penn at this point. But that could change if Columbia or Harvard come calling, however remote that possibility may be. Congrats on CLS, btw. It was my #1 at the beginning of the cycle. Are you deciding between Penn and CLS?
I'm heading to the airport right now to catch a flight to Philly for ASW. I'll be the lost-looking kid from southern California (never been to Philly before). Have a safe trip and maybe I'll see you there.
I just got a bad vibe from the place. The current students I met only wanted to bash NYU and talk about the big firms they wanted to work for. I'm sure it's not totally representative, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth, especially after visiting Penn (which I thought was great). Also, congrats on your cycle so far! I'm sure Harvard will come through for you.
Thanx :} It really is a dream come true. Hope to see you in August!
Hey there, congrats on the Columbia scholarship! I can definitely see this complicating your decision though. I truly cannot tell you what to do. Didn't you say that you enjoyed Columbia slightly more during your visit though? As for me, I think I've eliminated Penn from the running, simply because I would be much happier living in one of the other two places. (You know I wasn't fond of Philly haha). But of course that's just my personal preference...you seemed to like Philly a lot, right?
Thanks for the comments, I'll be following MCB's similar dilemma very closely on LSD. I'm relieved to hear you enjoyed yourself at Columbia's ASW. The only thing that worries me is the COL in Manhattan. Some absolutely incredible apartments are available in Chicago for nearly half the price of what CLS offers.
Thanks. You, too.
The Harvard acceptance was such a surprise! I'm still in shock over it so I'm trying to let it sink in before I make a decision. As much as I loved Chicago though, I feel like going to HLS is too great of an opportunity to pass up! What are you thinking now?
on hls! welcome!
I still don't know yet. I have been waiting for my award package from HLS which I just got today. I hope to have a decision made by the end of the week. Congrats on making a choice! I have a feeling you are going to have a great three years in Cambridge. Maybe I will see you there!
You're sitting pretty with an awesome LSAT score. Best of luck this cycle! No West Coast schools for you?
