Great List

Best of luck. I'm betting you get into quite a few of those schools. I'm sure the only difficulty will be choosing.

And the number one threat to American is

Maybe we will both wind up in NYC!

Good luck

I hope you have a great cycle. If your essays are anything like your LSD posts, you will have a nice list of acceptances to choose from.

Good luck!
Wednesday, October 31 2007 at 08:00 PM

We're almost numbers twins. I wish you the best of luck this cycle, from one LSD'er (the forum, of course!) to another!

good luck! we have similar-ish numbers (you clearly win on GPA though). i'm hoping for hastings...

Screw Columbia.
Tuesday, March 07 2006 at 07:00 PM

They don't know what they are missing. If NY or T14 are important to you, then I bet Fordham and GULC will be bitch slapping each other to get you.

Dotlyn is right...

Columbia is a TTT in decline!

Fordham

Congratulations on Fordham. Did you apply soley for the PT program, or for FT too? Also, good luck on GULC PT. With your WE and GPA you should be in by now!

cornell
Thursday, March 22 2007 at 08:00 PM

how did cornell inform you of the status (email or letter)? I just went "Decision" on their status checker but I'm stuck at home, so I'm hoping if it's a letter it didn't get sent to my school address... good luck with the rest of your cycle, and congrats especially on Fordham!

Thanks!
Wednesday, October 31 2007 at 08:00 PM

I appreciate the kind words. It's all right, though; I really shouldn't complain. I have many viable options to consider, and I hope you will have the same (and you do, with Fordham!). Take care.

Probably true, but I lost nothing by gambling. What's your dysfunction?

^-- Response
Tuesday, October 16 2007 at 08:00 PM

Time will tell if you are right. The money is infentisimal and a complete non-issue. If I end up at Fordham I am a happy camper anyway.

And FYI, I was Fee Waivered at 14 of my 20 Schools, including 2 of the 3 that dinged me already.

Congrats on Fordham! Now tell them to let me in too, we've the same index and I'm from a distressed country too. In fact, I'm distressed right now.

CONGRATS!
Monday, September 17 2007 at 08:00 PM

On your acceptances thus far! I just got my Michigan rejection as well...whatever! I hope you do awesome with the rest! I'm pulling for ya!

Congrats on Tulane!
Tuesday, November 06 2007 at 07:00 PM

That's a big wad of cash you got there sir! Think about it, if you go to Fordham with no $$$, you'll end up ~180K in debt and it's NYC Biglaw or bust. Much better to relax and enjoy the Big Easy than turn into a corporate whore.

By going to Tulane

You could be a courtroom lawyer dressed in white with red suspenders,, dabbing the sweat off your brow as you cross examine a southern debutante on the murder of her husband, all the while speaking in a cajun twang.

Waitlisted: I think you are right. I have done the NYC Biglaw thing, and it's not for me. Jambalaya, on the other hand, is DEFINATELY for me. :) Bill: Dude... You just totally sold me on NOLA! ^_^

Just Curious
Tuesday, November 06 2007 at 07:00 PM

Just out of curio, why no Big 10 schools on the list, Bear?

Big Ten
Tuesday, November 06 2007 at 07:00 PM

Those schools in the Big Ten athletics conference. You know, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio State, Minnesota, etc.

My condolences with re: Berkeley rejection. I know the feeling, mi amigo. I was getting my hopes up too... But the past is past. I'm impressed with the Tulane scholarship offer. That's a pretty chunk of change! Where are you leaning right now, if you don't mind me asking?

I understand!
Wednesday, October 31 2007 at 08:00 PM

I hear ya on Boalt. That one hurt me too. I heard nothing for three months, when many people on LSN were being outright rejected or deferred. My hopes were up, but oh well. What's done is done, you know? As for your decision (I'm basing it on the schools to which you were accepted so far), it depends if you want biglaw or not. If you are a biglaw or bust kind of guy (and I don't think you are, but you might be), then Fordham is the best option. If you don't mind not getting biglaw though, I'd go with Tulane or St. John's. Personally, I'd go with Tulane, because the NY market is fierce. However, if you really want to stay in NYC, then I think it might be your best option (I'm assuming your scholarship requirements aren't too stringent for either school.) I wish you the best of luck with your other applications.

Davis?

Thanks, Jess! But do you mean Hastings or UCLA?

BC Waitlist Question
Friday, November 16 2007 at 07:00 PM

I'm curious - are you on the regular waitlist or the priority waitlist for BC? Do you know if there's a difference. I'm also on the WL so I'm curious - thanks!

congrats
Tuesday, September 04 2007 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on all your acceptances! I imagine you are deciding between Fordham and Tulane so far. I went to Tulane undergrad and having nothing but great things to say about the school. Good luck with the rest of your apps!

crossing my fingers for you!

Your prediction proved incorrect. Thanks for playing.

Re Honest Man
Tuesday, October 16 2007 at 08:00 PM

BU just gave me 30k and I will try to get them to raise to 45. Fordham def. won't match. Thing is, I have a very solid "in" with NYC biglaw. If I do well enough in either school to do Biglaw, I am guaranteed a spot at a V15 firm, so I am not too worried about NYC placement. Thanks for turning around man.

BU
Saturday, November 03 2007 at 08:00 PM

Well I filled out a bunch of financial aid forms and they informed me of the scholarship a few weeks after. Looks like you got the same scholarship as me though. Congrats!!!! Are you seriously considering BU?? It's down to BU & W&M for me. When do you think UVA is gonna get back to us?? It's been sooo long and their application checker still says "Not Yet."

One More Q
Saturday, November 03 2007 at 08:00 PM

How are you gonna ask BU for more money?? Formal Letter or E-mail?
