Nope, haven't heard anything about being complete yet...good luck!!
Congrats on Miami!! It is good to see that they are sending out some more acceptances. Do you mind if I ask where you live? I'm hoping that some news will come from Miami soon (other than that mean, large envelope their undergrad school sent me the other day).

Ocean Springs all the way! What place could have ever got you to move from Pascagoula? (Sarcasm Included)
Yup! I have you on my watchlist... looks like we've got a bunch of similar apps too.
Lets Go Pitt! Let's go Pitt!
Very wierd. I applied ED and they called my mom back home to confirm my email and say they would have a decision by Jan. Did they forget I applied ED or was I "deferred"?
On Pitt! How did the acceptance come? Phone call? Small/large envelope?
Could mean by end of the year, which would fit with ED notification time frame. I hope they get a [positive!] decision to us before Christmas, I think I'd go bonkers over the holiday knowing I wouldn't get any news for a couple weeks... Good luck! Be sure to update us when a decision comes through!
nope, i didnt hear anything from them. no email and no phone call either. do you know if they tend to defer ppl who apply ED? cus that seems like a weird (and horribly mean) thing to do... i just wanna know now. its gonna drive me crazy if i have to wait until january!
congrats on your acceptances so far! hopefully youll be able to add hastings to that list.
From what I understand, if you aren't admitted ED you will get deferred. At an open house this fall we were told they didn't want to reject anyone before Christmas. Maybe they are just scanning for 'highly likely admits' and reviewing the rest next year?
Well I'll be the first reject of 2008. I thank Hastings for giving my ego a nice Christmas present.
I got the Greg Canada "You are complete" mass email twice -once in early Nov. and then again on Dec. 10. I can only assume they passed my file up for early decision and the second letter was welcoming me to the regular decision pile. However, my current location and prohibitive costs (and fear of pissing off adcoms) prevent me from calling to inquire further.
For your sake I hope it was only an email error!! I know how nerve racking this can be!
Thanks and congratulations to you on getting in! I got my scholarship letter approximately 1.5 weeks after my admission.
I'll switch it back to Pending until I get something more concrete from them.
Now it's official. Email on 12/14
hey, i was wonering what you thought our chances are at some of the same schools we are applying to...hopefully our GPA can bail us out!
yeah, i've thought about Iowa but I'm from Ft. Laudy and most likely wanna live here later so the other schools were the few somewhat reaches that I would attend over UM
You think? I ask my BF, "what do you think of U Miami," he responds, "its really expensive." I am looking for a low cost, not extremely competitive school. But I guess Miami would be good vs living in NY or DC. Do you think if I call and ask for a fee waiver to apply I will get it?
Congrats on Pitt! If it was easier to get in-state in PA I would have applied there too.
What do you think guys, should I do it? That's a lot of money and I'm an in-stater too. I'm getting married in 6 months and my wife is gonna be depending on me to pay for everything and ~2 years of undergrad for her too, so money is gonna be very tight...
Congrats. What was the process for getting their generous scholarship offer?
have you made the decision that you are going with penn.
congrats on the $$ from Penn. I just applied there.
On UW! good luck the rest of the cycle!
what typo of correspondence did u receive from the penn.state???

Congrats on Madison! I'm so jealous!
OMG! Congrats!!!
I was only able to pick up some spoken Mandarin during my time in China - reading is a whole different animal! I ran what you sent me through an online translator, if what you were asking was if I had any of those supposed "cardboard" buns, the answer is no - that whole thing came up a few weeks after I had left. Your score on the HSK is impressive - especially after just 1.5 years. Where did you work/study on the Mainland?
... and I hope the good news keeps rolling in you see the gtown game?
Thats pretty sweet and I imagine relatively clean compared to Beijing! What are you doing over there? I heard about the so called "rogue" journalist and the retraction of the story as well - who knows I guess.
You've really racked up on the acceptances too! Just think, in a couple of months we'll probably know where we're going! Unless the waitlists are cruel to us, lol.
Washington is my #1 because it's a great school, public and excellent in International/Asian Law which is right up my alley. However my numbers aren't exactly up to par for that school.
Sorry to hear bout it...but the way your cycle has been going, it shouldn't be that big of a deal...i better get a better Feb score or I'll be in the same boat
on UW-Madison as well! I, like you, feel very blessed to be admitted with a relatively low LSAT. But hey, I'll take it. Of the schools I've been accepted to, UW-Madison is far and way the leader. However, I am out of state, and so tuition is pricey. I am still applying to UIUC and Notre Dame. I am also doing a Feb. LSAT re-take... so barring some miracle, I'll probably see you in Madison next fall. It's an awesome city/school.
Yeah, the more I hear back, the more likely it seems I'll be in Madison next year. The OOS tuition of 32K sucks, but the in-state tuition at my home school (Pitt) is 23K, so it's not a huge difference. Also, I hear if you can land a TA job at Madison, they waive tuition entirely. That would be great. As for the LSAT, I'm screwed on that. I live in China and it's only offered once a year in my area and the Feb test isn't offered outside the US...
What's a big ten?
I applied to Michigan, dude. Otherwise, I guess I just didn't like the rest of the law schools for one reason or another. I don't really care much for college sports, so it's just not a factor for me.
Are you sure that's a waitlist you got from iowa? If it said you are being placed in the hold category then that is not a waitlist its something different. Also, I think you may have misread the letter, mine says 50% of applicants are placed in that category. As I understand it, hardly anybody gets in off the waitlist.
Ok, I think me and you are in the same place. I don't know a ton about it, but what I do know is that a deferral is better than a waitlist at Iowa. All I really know is that I know a guy that got held last year that got in. Basically....we just gotta wait it out until April 1st (when they will have reviewed your file again).
Hey again. Congrats on the acceptances. WISCO is a great school. I'm hoping they show me some love.
I'm very jealous of all of your acceptances at such great schools! Congrats :) I'm intrigued by your philosophy/biology major. I'm in the natural sciences right now and would have loved to add a philosophy major. Very cool. Is that going to influence the type of law you pursue?
Congrats on Florida!! I just visited the law school today, I really liked it. Is it a top choice for you?
i'm thinking this may be the year we break through the sweet 16 barrier... i hope you get to see some of the tournament even though you're a few thousand miles from the 'burgh. so, you think you'll be in madison next year?
1's and 2's are big reaches for me. 3's are reach-able reaches 4's are targets 5 is my safety
