awaiting Oct 1 lsat score. I practiced in the high 150's low 160's and I'll be happy to score in that range.

pretty good LOR's from work and volunteer work and pretty colorful PS. We shall see if I can overcome the lack luster GPA.

I've removed some of the "good" schools from my list due to the lack luster LSAT that compliments that equally lack luster GPA.

We seem to be in the same range of scores in both LSAT and GPA. Good luck with Georgia State, they are slowly moving up to my number one.

I applied for the fall term. I read your post about the lack of funds for Spring admits. That stinks.

FCSL

I have to admit that I am a bit skeptical at being admitted in under 2 weeks. But....If all else fails, Coastal here I come.

Congrats

You list of Schools
Monday, August 08 2005 at 08:00 PM

If I were you . . . and this is just my opinion. I'd put some of those higher schools back up there on your list. If you can get a fee waiver from those schools I'd say apply anyways, what's the worst that could happen? They say "No"? Like you haven't heard that word before. With all of the things you've got goin' for you, I'm sure you got a HELLUVA Personal Statement. Keep Hope Alive Brutha, I'll be prayin' for ya.

Good Luck!

I do have the LG bible and it is a great resource tool for learning. I have a hard time reading the whole thing, but it is good. It has helped me so far to learn how to play atleast the linear games. Thank you again

Go to GSU's website, and click on prospective students. From there you can click on admissions status, put in some info and that should do it.

GSU
Sunday, October 02 2005 at 08:00 PM

No, I called GSU last week and they passed along that they were going to start reviewing on Monday. But their website should update you on your status when a decision is made. Arkansas gave me $8000 which brings their price tag down to where I would be paying in state tuition.

SORRY

about UF. I guess my chances are pretty slim there as well, sigh. There were my realistic 1st choice as well, and now they don't seem so realistic.

Did you have to write a statement of diversity to U of A fayetteville due to the fact you are under 205 index. what do you think sets u apart from me as a candidate? work experience? fluency in portuguese? I am disappointed that AR may overlook me, a tax paying resident...but congrats i hope you get in where you want to and all that.. advise give advise.

I only applied to U of Ark because it was free. I sent them a lack luster personal statement and never discussed diversity (I didn't with any of PS's). I don't know what sets us apart in the eyes of the committee. Your grad work should be a plus. My work experience is extensive and my profession is complex. I am proven in the work force and that can't hurt. Don't know if I'd use Portuguese in Arkansas. Do the single wide vendors speak Portuguese? I'm sure you'll get in, don't worry.

Thanks alot

it's been awhile. i was just checking your profile. i heard that the longer it takes for schools to make a decision is a good thing. ideally where do you want to matriculate? practice?

Congrats on getting deferred and then accepted to Miami. I hope I have the same luck! Did you do anything special like send another LOR or essay?

If FSU accepts me I am going. The letter they sent said that they would let me know their decision by the end of May.

FSU
Monday, December 12 2005 at 07:00 PM

Coach, Yeah, my FSU "deferment" said "hold", too (along with that business about the decisions being made by May). This is supposedly their "waitlist" letter according to the lady I spoke to. It's confusing. Why not give them a call? A question arises: if there are two types of status, is it better to be on the waitlist or deferred? Which gets preference? Like you, I've been waiting on FSU since early November. And waiting isn't fun. Good luck with everything!
