How'd Illinois let you know?
I wouldn't obsess over the deferral from UIUC. First, it is not a rejection, and you still might get in there. Second, you already have one acceptance, so everything you get from here on is gravy. Third, with your stats you should expect at least a few more offers - it is still early in the game. Best of luck.
Did you pick these schools becaude they have good programs in environmental law, or for some other reason? Regardless, which schools in the Great LAkes area do you think have the best programs?
my admission to Wisconsin is exciting, it was one of my reaches.
Rejected at Ohio State? That's insane...I can't believe it, but good luck on the rest of your cycle!
Are they averaging LSAT?? I sure hope not...
Well thank you for your input. I am very sorry to hear about OSU. Congrats on IU though! That is a great accomplishment! Good luck the rest of the way!
Congrats on UIUC!!!!!!! I keep checking my mail hoping for a letter...
ON UIUC!! I know it's what you were counting on and you're IN! Tell them to hurry and send mine eh? ;)
they do interviews? are they only on-campus or would they maybe do some in chicago?
I'm so happy for you about UIUC. (Told you not to count them out.) But I'm also glad that their deferral caused you to apply to Chicago. If you got in there, it would be quite an honor. Would you consider going there or are you set on Illinois, now that they have come to their senses?
Congrats, Its your first choice!!!
That's a surprise...
Sorry to see you got waitlisted at UW. But it probably doesn't matter since you planned on IL anyway. Good luck with Chicago.
on your acceptance to U of Illinois. It is such a good school!
(This is Matokah from TLS) Just wanted to say congrats on UIUC! Loyola waitlist? I can understand with me, but that's bizarre of them for you. Their loss. :)
Did we all leave a hair in their soup or something? Several people with my same numbers got in. What gives? Strange. Congratulations on UIUC though, that is one hell of a school...
Hey bopbop. Just found out I was waitlisted at U of I this morning via email. What did you do to turn your decision around? Further, how did you get an interview did they invite you in for one? Anything would be helpful thanks!!
But I didn't specify what I wanted to specialize in, AND I got money from Kent, which is more highly thought of and from DePaul. Go figure. So I assume you're just going to go to UIUC? Or are there others on your dancecard too?
Are you considering IU at all?
For the additional info. Well guess since you're local that helped out in terms of being able to put in additional face time. Just sent off my cont'd interest letter so we'll see what happens.
and congrats - looks like you're in great shape. Yep, I like your advice re specialty reps vs. general strength. Kent does have a great env program - also have that dual degree in env management. I've had them way up on my list from the beginning. Not sure if they're the best fit for me personality-wise, they seem pretty utilitarian / cut-and-dried. I'm sold on the fact that they are the most up-and-coming Chicago school though. Best of luck to you .
Did you request an interview at UIUC or was that part of the application process for you? Congrats!!

Woot Indiana!
Loyola and DePaul are unexpected ego blows. Perhaps they are feeling a bit outclassed at this point. Their loss. Thanks for the good wishes. (It was difficult having all my eggs in one basket.) So nice to have a home now! Good luck with Chicago.
I see that you were accepted at U of after being deferred. I need some advice. Do I call? Do I write? I did my undergrad there and now my husband and I live in Champaign. I would give anything to go there and I think I have the credintials - I am involved in a lot throughout the area and have worked full-time for 2 years since graduating. Anyways, sorry for the resume :) just want to see what you recommend. Any advice on here or email would be great. thanks and congrats.
for the advice...I wrote Dean Shafer (the prelaw guy) to see what he says. I will probably end up calling but don't want to make a rash decision. Congrats again and hopefully see ya next fall! :) :)
Hi, I saw you had an interview with UIUC. I'm having one on Monday and I was curious to know what you talked about in your interview, questions you were asked, or if you have any tips. Thanks for your help and congratulations on your acceptance!
and congrats to you too on illinois! you must be really excited, way to go :)
Congrats on Kent. If you like the city, it's a good choice. They seem rather 'cutting edge.' Still no word from U of Chicago, though?
Yeah, who woulda thunk? Especially after my rejections and UIUC deferral. But you'll be great... And if there's ever an oil spill in the midwest, I positive you'll do Illinois proud!! :)
Congrats Hey, it looks like we are going to be classmates for 1L. UIUC Class of 2010!! So you did your UG there too? If you feel like providing me some feedback about all the little details (where to get a good quiet apartment, etc...) stop by my LSN page and drop me a comment with your email. I went to an admitted students day on March 9th, and I am sure I will be attending UIUC... just time to work out the details now!

*so excited for next fall*
Thank you, and congratulations yourself! I wish you well in your endeavors.
I didn't do ED--just applied early enough to get a fast decision, I guess.
