11/16 - FSU Acceptance - Small White Envelope - Regular Mail

12/3 - Miami Acceptance - Small Cream/White Envelope - Priority Mail

12/20 - December LSAT - 168. This is what I had been scoring at.

01/17/08 - Accepted to UF via Admitted Students newsletter through e-mail today. Very quick turn around, I just filled out their supplemental information and paid the fee yesterday.

01/19/08 - Accepted to Temple - Big white envelope via regular mail.

01/24/08 - Received hard copy of UF acceptance in the mail.

01/27/08 - Applied to UCLA.

01/29/08 - Harvard under review. My percentages give me a 1% chance of getting in. I like to work against the odds...

01/31/08 - Stetson Acceptance - Big white envelope. Regular Mail

02/14/08 - George Washington - Accepted via e-mail! Boston College - Priority waitlist via small envelope - withdrawn

02/19/08 - Decision at Georgetown... Keeping my fingers crossed

02/23/08 - Rejected at Georgetown. I knew it was a rejection before opening it. Windowed envelopes = not good. Disappointing...however, no point in stressing.

10 minutes later....
Was informed I had mail from NYU as well... Another windowed envelope... another rejection lol.

02/28/08 - Berkeley Rejection. Windowed envelope you ask? But indeed :) I must say, though, that they have a very kindly worded rejection letter.

02/29/08 - Michigan waitlist. Very pleased about this.

03/03/08 - Deferred at Columbia...I think. They said I was placed in the "Reserve Group" to be reevaluated in May.

03/04/08 - Virginia has made a decision as of 03/03 (However, it was not updated until the morning of 03/04)

03/07/08 - Virginia Rejection

03/18/08 - Waitlisted at American. Will withdraw.

Sent out first LOCI to Michigan. Also, targeted Michigan LOR will be out within the month.

03/24/08 - Waitlisted at William & Mary. Withdrawn.

Also, additional LOR for Michigan will be sent out today or sometime this week as per e-mail from professor.

03/28/08 - Decision at Cornell

03/28/08 (Cont'd) - Waitlisted at Fordham - Will be withdrawing

03/29/08 - On "reserve" at Cornell. I will be withdrawing.

04/01/08 - Gonna stick the ol' "A" up next to FSU as I am about 99% sure I will be attending. Very excited!

04/02/08 - E-mail from GW saying "No" to my scholarship request so I am now 99.9% sure it is FSU. Nice!

04/11/08 - Waitlisted at Boston University. Withdrawn.

04/14/08 - Rejected at Harvard via e-mail.
Rejected at Northwestern via e-mail

04/18/08 - Rejected at Penn via small envelope.

04/19/08 - Rejected at Duke via small envelope

04/22/08 - Interesting... accepted to Fordham

05/12/08 - After numerous phone calls and pleading, I received a 7,500 scholarship from FSU

We have a few schools in common. Best of luck with your list. I feel your pain about the LSAT, I was averaging between a 169-172 and ended up with a 167 (not bad but below my average). I was considering December, too....I don't have as good a GPA as you so I could use all the extra LSAT points I could get. :-)

GOOD LUCK!

Good luck in the cycle - we have very similar numbers and have applied to some of the same schools - I have a very unique PS too! Keep me informed!

Across the board may be pushing it - but at least I hope to get in to most of them - nice thing is that the Army will pay for them, can't beat that! Hope you sweep it - keep in touch!

I guess that could be it. It probably doesn't help that my permanent address is in the middle of a rural GA county, since it appears that they are sending the decisions to permanent addresses.

Congrats on FSU...man were you accepted fast! I think that's a great sign, maybe your "unique PS" really caught their attention. I'm sure it's the first acceptance of many.

Good luck in the cycle! To answer your question, I received the complete notice from WCL about 4-5 days AFTER I received the acceptance packet. I was surprised to get an answer so quickly.

Thanks!!!

Scholars Weekend
Monday, December 24 2007 at 07:00 PM

Are you planning to attend the Scholars Retreat at Stetson? I'm just curious if anyone else is thinking about going.

Fun stuff. Well, either way congrats and good luck. I think I'm going to go. It's the only school I applied to (out of all 4 of them) that I haven't really had a chance to visit. Since it's only for those with full-tuition offers, it'll be interesting to see how many of us there are and what kind of background we all have.

Wow. 10? Good to know. You have lots of other big applications out, so definitely good luck on your cycle. Especially UVA!

Thanks!
Monday, October 01 2007 at 08:00 PM

For the congrats. I'm still waiting on scholarships though and I want to visit the schools before I decide, so I probably won't be withdrawing real soon. Congrats on your acceptances and good luck on the rest! :)

Hi, Congrats on your acceptances as well. I will definitely withdraw from schools that I eliminate (I've already withdrawn from one), but I'm waiting on scholarships. Sorry

Monday, June 25 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm headed towards either Michigan or Cornell at this point, with a small but existent chance of going somewhere else. I'm making my decision based on the preview weekends for the two schools. The only way another school might make the list is with a great financial aid package.

I read your response on my wall and had no idea what you were talking about. And then I checked your comments - that was NOT me. I can't believe someone is impersonating me, lol. I did withdraw, and I hope it helps you out!

Thank You

for the good luck at UF. I have my fingers crossed. I hope I will hear now that some of you higher number people start withdrawing. :-) Best of luck at G-town!!!!

Yeah, as of right now it seems as though I'm going to Cornell. But I'm waiting to see what kind of financial aid Georgetown is going to offer.

Completely Understandable..

Yes, I do think I'm going to attend FSU. At the very least, I'm headed to ASD on April 11th. I'm really excited to see the school. I've spoken with some of the current students, as well as done some research, and it just seems better and better the more I know. I'm starting to get excited about it.

I received an email with an attached PDF document with the scholarship award. They mentioned in the e-mail a letter was also sent (but I haven't yet received it). I also completed the merit/need based scholarship application a few weeks ago, if that helps.

Look forward to seeing you in the fall. Its funny how you got into some of the schools I didnt and vice-versa.

Thanks!
Monday, December 24 2007 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, I've been going back and forth on the ranking vs. money issue for two weeks now... But, I just like Stetson. Plus, my boyfriend already lives there so he can work to support me through school. Zero loans pretty much sold me. =) BTW, your FSU listing says they offered you 1K... You're missing a few zeros. Definitely keep in touch since it looks like we'll both be in Florida. (Unless something happens with Penn)

Oops
Monday, December 24 2007 at 07:00 PM

Oh... When you wrote on my wall about 100K less in tuition being nice, I thought you meant for you. Sorry about that! FSU has super low tuition, So 1K is still a nice chunk of the tuition!

True...
Monday, December 24 2007 at 07:00 PM

A 150K difference is nothing to blow off. =)

Hell Yeah
Tuesday, December 18 2007 at 07:00 PM

i am attending FSU, and super psyched about it! I have been waitlisted to a few other schools, but after the visit I really loved FSU, plus i got an apartment across the street! Just wondering, but what made you choose FSU over GW and UF etc?

FSU
Saturday, March 01 2008 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, I'm calling them tomorrow. I've been holding on to FSU, because they were my 2nd choice after ND. I want to practice in FL, and the ND tuition's gonna be a biatch, but it will make my family happy. Good luck getting the FSU money.
