Not concerned about relocating but needs to be someplace my DH can get a job

11-17 - Yeah! Someone wants me! Accepted at FSU. Small letter with follow up call and scholarship apps a couple of days later.
11-23 - In at AU - Priority Mail large envelope
12-10 - In at Univ of Florida. - Large white envelope, regular USPS. Now time to plan a road trip to FL to check out the schools and communities.
12-14 - Just checked my UGA status checker for the 1000th time and it had changed to Accepted!!!
12-15 - Large first class USPS envelope from Wake Forest. Scholarship info to come in Jan.
12-19 - Just got the phone call from GMU.
12-28 - Email from GW. Funny thing is I thought I applied to the day division, but something came up yesterday where the evening division might make more sense. I think the gods are trying to tell me something.
01-14 - Short letter from Penn. Not surprised at all. It was very much a long shot.
01-30 - Put on "Priority Waitlist" at BC. Not sure if that is different from regular waitlist.
03-10 - Finally something from W&L. Now if only it was an answer.
03-14 - Nice letter from Duke. So much for my reaches. I guess they were just too far.
03-20 - Letter from W&M. I'm disappointed in this. Was really hoping this would be an option, maybe even with some money.
04-07 - Letter from Emory.
04-07 - Sent seat deposit to GMU. Can't turn down instate tuition and the opportunity to keep working. Also given the current housing market, we can't afford to sell the house and move.

Congrats! A friend of mine is dating a 40+ law student. So never fear, it can be done! Also, in agreement w/jalex. You should definitely try Northwestern. Best of luck.

Congrats on your acceptance to FSU, I'm not a bit surprised with your numbers. I think you will be celebrating a lot more this cycle. Congrats again. BTW, your username always cracks me up. Some days I feel too old for law school, too....and I'm only 29. Lot of 22 yr olds running around!

congrats on WCL

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I edited the Add'l Info to reflect how I heard. I never did receive a complete notification from AU. After 12/1 I'm going to contact everyone I haven't received a complete notice from. Good luck to all of you!!

Thanks and congrats

Did American send you any type of notice to let you know you were complete? Or was it a surprise when it came in the mail?

to you as well... Gotcha. I have been waiting for a response for them... so hopefully I will be receiving the large packet from them and not the small one. Good luck on the rest of your cycle. You've definitely started off well!

Job well done!

30-ish male here. I certainly don't look as good as you do on paper! Feel free to send some of your non-trad acceptances my way! I agree with others who are suggesting Northwestern to you. Maybe think about Texas and UCLA too?

Looks like you're kicking ass and taking names. I'm looking forward to GMU, sounds like a solid PT program. Why didn't you take a stab at Georgetown?

me too

Hi tooold, I just couldn't resist writing, our user names are similar. You give me hope you've been doing so well this cycle, though your GPA is quite a bit better. But maybe it means some of these schools consider our lives outside of tests and GPAs. Good luck to you the rest of the way!

Yay

Applying to many similar places and accepted to WFU on very similar numbers. 1st choice is GW though (applied PT/FT) Good luck on the rest of your cycle.

Hey! Great to see another nontrad going for it. I'll be 40 in October. Hopefully celebrate my birthday at W & M Law!!! Good luck to you. Maybe we'll end up at W & M together.
