Hey, It wasn't bluntness that was the problem...as I am obviously blunt in my responses. To be honest, it's been a bad day and week and I apologize to you for lashing out like that...it was uncalled for at that point. I know that it is way to many schools, and to some degree with those bottom schools I am unsure what I would want. I only know what I want in the context of T1/T2 and haven't really fathomed not getting in to one (other than to the extent of applying to lower schools, just in case). I am fully planning on withdrawing from most of them once that Seton Hall, SMU, Denver, PSU, etc comes back with an admit. With my GPA I just have that genuine fear that all will say 'no', even though they admitted a majority of people in my range last year. Best of luck on your cycle, congrats on Loyola-Chicago (I'm waiting on their call), and maybe I will see you in the future if we end up in the same place.

Yeah, and in all honesty, I am just thankful that now I know I will be going somewhere in the Fall. Now I just get to sweat the 'good' school getting back to be with an acceptance.

Am I the only person who did not get the call? I wanted the call (as long as it was not at my work number). I updated my profile and it now answers your questions. But just to summarize, I went to top private and have mostly work experience.

My numbers/school type/race combination is pretty identifiable, and I didn't particularly want to be identified. Doesn't hurt a thing to leave them all out until the cycle's over, so that's what I did. Congrats on all your acceptances.

I'm pretty open in terms of my top choices. I would be probably be most happy going to either American, Loyola LA, Loyola Chicago, Villanova, UC Hastings, or U of Florida. we'll see what develops.

Congrats on GW MAN!!!! I went complete there just a few days ago. So we'll see how long they make me wait. :) No, I am applying to PT cus thats all I can go to school for. I am single but still have family obligations and FT is no feasible. I am extremely excited about OSU man but they dont have PT program. I am soo hoping GW comes through for me. Its my 1st choice. I applied there last year and didnot get in and now reapplying with a better lsat score. I now have pretty much the exact #'s as you do..so we'll see. :) regardless man i am happy for you , you deserve it!.. i am assuming you are taking up the offer? hopefully we can both go there, night program will be fun!

hey man, i really like fordham...top 25 and in manhatten. but there's no way i'll get in. thinking at best i'll get in to quinnipac, depaul, and st. john's. so it'd be down to depaul and st. john's then...not sure i'll even get in to those though. am putting in some saftey apps at dayton and cleveland state tomorrow. GW your top choice i take it?

oh, and i saw a user on this website the other day actually named "nanuk" or something like that. bahaha.

thanks for the words of encouragement. maybe i am a bit. but i just have a hard time believing that schools will be able to see beyond my low LSAT scores. we'll see though. and DC would be awesome. i loved living there and it would be nice to have friends, especially while starting out a new tough course of study. i have a friend at UDC and he says washington is the best place to study law, regardless of the school you're at. so we'll see GW would be nice. haha i'm pumped you got in. their facilities are pretty great. go for sure

Naw, not a masochist. The first year is intense, but it doesn't have to be all-consuming. As for my reasons for selecting Vanderbilt, I'm going to cop out a little and say that it was both scholarship and the impression I had after visiting. I decided to come almost a year ago this week, but then I received a nice scholarship offer a few weeks later.

I see you're having a wonderful cycle. We share two schools in common. Keep me posted on where you will be going.

Feel free to turn down DePaul and Loyola, I've been waitlisted by both of them and would love to take your seat....what undergrad do you go to if you don't mind my asking?

I'm actually Jamaican. Only attended undergrad in NY. Wouldn't say I'm attracted to UT, I applied kind of as a prank because I have a friend in UT's MBA program. Will not be going there though. It's NU, Howard or Pace in that order

I'm going with GW but I'm just worried about the cost of living. DC is so expensive!

congrats on more acceptances (Case,howard) so i see you are thinking between OSU/American/GW/Howard). i got turned down at GW so I am leaning more towards OSU now being they are offering me good grant and more scholarship probably coming my way too. Hey if I were you, I would goto GW. They have a great international law program and DC would suit you for that. As much as I would like to see you at OSU, and as much as I hate GW for not letting me in, I have to keep the biases aside.

You planning to go to DC anytime soon? What type of law are you looking at studying?

Yeah I'm looking to go into corporate or international. If I don't get in a school with a top 10 JD/MBA program I'll go the international route which means either GTown or GW. I'm headed out March 23-29 to give DC a second run now that I'm legal.
