Additional info & updates

12-2-05: $12,000 Renewable Scholarship from Florida Coastal. 13th Choice. Only going there if it's the only place I get into.

12-7-05: Received a regular-sized small white envelope from Michigan State (dated 11/28/05) and thought it was going to be a "We received your application" letter, but it was an acceptance. Received a phone call the next day congratulating me.

12-12-05: Received acceptance letter and a $10,000 scholarship in large sized white envelope from Tulsa.

12-16-05: Received acceptance to Albany in large envelope with folder of information in it.

12-27-05: Received acceptance letter and $5,500 scholarship from Gonzaga (don't know what it came in because my roommate read it to me over the phone).

1-4-06: Received letter from Miami dated 12-22-05 telling me that my "application has been reviewed and no final decision has been made at this time." I'm assuming that means it's a deferral... better than a rejection I guess?

1-24-06: Another deferral... Rutgers this time. I'm sending my fall grades later today and hoping for the best.

1-26-06: Received rejection letter from Denver.

2-13-06: Rejected from New Mexico. I think it's funny that the average rejection from UNM on this site has higher numbers than the average acceptance. I had no interest in going there anyways.

2-18-06: Waitlisted at Penn State. Guess I'm not going there.

2-21-06: Saint Louis decided to take a chance on me. I will be visiting over Spring Break. Maybe I'll see Nelly.

2-24-06: I will be visiting 3 law schools in a week over Spring Break. I will be DRIVING with a friend up to my parents house in New Jersey, then to Albany, Michigan State, St. Louis, and back to school in Virginia. It is a grand total of over 3,100 miles in a week

3-11-06: Back from the roadtrip. It's between MSU and SLU right now, with Miami and Rutgers still pending.

3-22-06: It's looking like I'm headed to MSU... still waiting on a few more pending apps... don't think I'll be getting into any of them though

4-3-06: Got placed "on hold" by Case after they reviewed my file... i'm very surprised I wasn't outright rejected

4-11-06: Still waiting on Rutgers, IUPUI, and Case... MSU deposit going in at the end of the week if I still haven't heard from any of those

4-14-06: Sent MSU deposit in. Still waiting on Rutgers and Indiana for the time being.

5-2-06: IUPUI Admissions are the rudest most incompetent people I've dealt with in this process. Indiana is a weird state anyways.

5-9-06: Waitlisted at Rutgers. Going to call today to see what my chances are. I would drop everything and go there if they let me in. Otherwise, looks like I'm going to be finding an apartment in East Lansing pretty soon.

7-12-06: Got into Rutgers! Going there! Woohoo!

*Well, 7 acceptances, 2 waitlists, 4 rejections isn't so bad for somebody with my numbers!*

your area is thorough and i appreciate that as i look at so many of these so called candidates. for all those: the point of this website is information... if you area has no information than you are just a selfish greedy pig who cares only about the information he/she needs not about what the fellow man is looking for ...HA ha..hah.haha

Sorry about Penn State, hopefully St Louis comes through for you. I should be withdrawing there soon if that helps!

hey, great to hear from a fellow MSU classmate-to-be! Are you attending the open house thingy next weekend? I am from the EL area, went to MSU undergrad and live here now (ack!), so if you have any questions about the area let me know!

I know what you mean about SLU. It was disappointing. Where do you want to practice? Are you still interested in Miami? If you are I'm about to withdraw so hopefully that'll open up a seat for you. Congrats on all your acceptances, especially MSU! Still, I don't think you should count yourself out on your pending apps...

Congrats

I'm sitting in a similar boat. I attended the open house at MSU but I'm still holding out for IU Indy. Best of luck.

I saw your comment about IUPUI Admissions being rude and I am wondering what the story is with that.... what happened? I was just waitlisted there and I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get in.... I don't want to piss off anyone in the admissions office, so I was hoping you could let me know what happened with you so I can figure out how to proceed... thanks!

I am still holding out for Penn State, but I don't think that will happen. I love MSU and can't wait to be there!

Looking for fellow Spartans!

Hello! Congrats on all your acceptances! Looks like I might be attending MSU too. I'm just trying to make some friends, before I head over. I left you my email address. Let me know if you decide to go and what section you are in.

Congrats
