Monday, October 24 2005 at 08:00 PM

thanks for the congratulations! and way to go on the large chunk of $ at Baylor...it suggests good things for the months ahead!

wow
Tuesday, January 03 2006 at 07:00 PM

Congrats to you as well on Baylor! I'll admit I'm a bit jealous of the full scholarship you received - good luck with the rest of your apps.

thanks

I actually submitted my applications (with the faint hope of possibly getting in) with the intention of working for the next year and will be retaking in June. Just wanted to congratulate you on your current admission and wishing you good luck on everything else (applications and LSAT)!!!!

congrats to you too

On UNC! great school, one of my top 3. great value for instaters like us. good luck on the rest of your apps.

thanks
Thursday, December 08 2005 at 07:00 PM

Thank you, congrats on UNC, that's a great school. Wake is not one of my top choices, but I'm certainly going to fly up there and check it out. Best of luck to you in the upcoming month or so--it should start to get exciting real soon.

good luck!!!
Wednesday, December 28 2005 at 07:00 PM

hope you did well on your test this past saturday! good luck with everything. i decided not to take the february lsat (i'm burnt out) and if i ended up getting deferred at a top choice, letting them know i'm taking june lsat (i submitted so late they probably won't look at me until april/may anyways)...we'll see though! just wanted to wish you luck and congrats on all of your apps! :)

hallo there

LSAT
Saturday, September 17 2005 at 08:00 PM

Way to go on your LSAT...!

Re: Vandy
Tuesday, August 23 2005 at 08:00 PM

I think Vandy still has a pretty strong frat boy/party reputation...and I imagine it is probably much this way after hours. Academically though, it was very on point in the classroom. Being married and not a big drinker, I think I won't get the full Vandy experience...but after seeing UNC - Franklin Street during the UNC-DUKE game...I'm not sure I personally would fit in much at any law school if drinking is always the big thing to do. lol.

CONGRATS!
Wednesday, November 30 2005 at 07:00 PM

You're ahving an awesome cycle- I saw on another post that you were all but decided- does W&M change this? What is your top choice so far (I am sure you have a lot of good news to come!).

congrats!!
Wednesday, February 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

Woohooooooo!!!!!! WTG on Cornell! Decisions made yet?

hey
Sunday, January 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for the kind words, and congrats on Cornell! My vibes are officially with yours, re: Duke. Where are you leaning right now? Man, I wish I had Cornell in the bag like you do....

congrats
Saturday, September 17 2005 at 08:00 PM

on Cornell and Notre Dame, that is sooo awesome!!! And awesome improvement on the LSAT!!!

Thanks
Monday, December 05 2005 at 07:00 PM

I'm sure Duke will come through. Looks like they're only getting warmed up.

hey
Sunday, January 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

Duke starts in June, doesn't it? Please tell me we have 2.5 months, not 1.5 .... And are you sure you want Duke's JD/LLM over Cornell's? I'm a bit torn between the two. Of course, I'm not admitted to either yet...

So...
Sunday, January 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

if not Duke and not Cornell, where? W&M? That would be a great school too, and good for the South I assume. Or are you holding out for Vandy or UVA...? I got dinged by UVA, but I'm holding out a little for Vandy -- wouldn't mind going there at all.

WFU / UNC
Sunday, October 02 2005 at 08:00 PM

I know this question gets thrown around a lot, but seeing as you w/drew from one and not the other, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on how Wake & UNC stack up against each other. Thanks & congrats on a great cycle thus far.

Wake / UNC
Sunday, October 02 2005 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for the comment - really helpful. No, I haven't visited either school, but now I'm thinking I probably should (assuming UNC is even an option for me)... Getting a sense for a school's "vibe" is definitely worthwhile.

Wake
Sunday, January 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

sounds right up your alley. That would be cool to be able to pick a school based purely on personal preference -- enjoy the freedom and go for it! I, on the other hand, really would like a career in academia -- so I pretty much have to go to the best school I can get into, personal preferences aside....

Duke
Saturday, November 19 2005 at 07:00 PM

I'm crossing my fingers that you won't end up languishing on the Duke WL. With your GPA they'd be crazy not to take you! I'm really only interested in the Duke dual program, so if I don't get off the WL by June 1, that's it.

lol
Sunday, January 15 2006 at 07:00 PM

Lol, I just read your msg ... I don't use the same uname on LSN and LSD like you do, but if you look at my email addy you'll see you do know me.

Duke
Sunday, January 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, I agree: BOO for Duke! I'm hanging on for Cornell -- and Texas and Penn (and maybe Vandy).... Are you settled on Wake for sure?

UVA!
Sunday, January 29 2006 at 07:00 PM

Congrats on UVA Way to go!

UVA, huh?
Thursday, February 16 2006 at 07:00 PM

They're not fools. Congrats.

hello
Friday, October 21 2005 at 08:00 PM

We're almost identical number twins. It's interesting to see where our acceptances differ...I wonder what made schools lean towards you in some cases and me in others. You have some awesome acceptances. Congrats! Do you know where you're headed?

thanks
Tuesday, September 06 2005 at 08:00 PM

for the comfort. vandy would be good, but i'm still hoping for a miraculous acceptance at chicago or NYU which would salvage the whole season. congrats on your acceptances, you have some awesome choices.

Just wanted to add to your ever-growing comment list on here :-) Congrats on Duke!!!!!

re: your message
Saturday, December 31 2005 at 07:00 PM

Thanks for your note! Good luck with decisions. Re: your question, the money is an academic scholarship; I haven't received the finaid package yet.

curious...
Wednesday, December 28 2005 at 07:00 PM

in relation to your message...should i have heard by now? i was complete by mid/late feb. do you think it's a bad sign?

Duke
Sunday, March 05 2006 at 07:00 PM

What dual-degree at Duke were you accepted into? I've gotten into the JD-MA in Romance Languages (I'll be doing French). Congrats on the acceptances, especially UVA. That's awesome!

decisions...
Sunday, October 02 2005 at 08:00 PM

If I get into UNC, I am pretty sure I'd go there. I have friends at Duke and love the Raleigh/Durham area. But the more research I do, the more I'm seeing that you really can't go wrong with Wake. People who attend seem to really like it. I feel lucky to have that acceptance under my belt.

Wake Visit?
Sunday, April 02 2006 at 08:00 PM

Thanks for the reply. Are you going to be at Wake this weekend for the open house?

Wake Weekend
Sunday, April 02 2006 at 08:00 PM

I live in G'boro and took the LSAT at Wake. Visited once informally when I was in the area, but that's all. I'm looking forward to the official tour and talking to some current students.

Your Decision
Sunday, March 05 2006 at 07:00 PM

What made you choose Wake? Was it the money? Did you just fall in love with the school? Just curious! Sounds like a great choice.

My choice
Sunday, March 05 2006 at 07:00 PM

Nope I haven't made my choice yet. I pretty much fell in love with Boston College, but I want to go into academia, so prestige is an issue. But I'd have a better chance at being at the top of the class at BC, so I don't know what the heck to do. Right now it's Duke, Cornell, UT, or BC.

Vandy
Sunday, January 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, Vandy & Penn both are taking for.ev.er. Right now, I'm calling it for UIUC -- but I'll ditch 'em for Cornell, Texas, or Penn for sure -- and maybe for Vandy, depending on the $$ situation.... Congrats on finally being done & decided!!

IIRC
Monday, January 09 2006 at 07:00 PM

You once listed as having withdrawn from Duke. Are you reconsidering going there? Forgive me if I'm mistaken.

slow schools
Saturday, November 19 2005 at 07:00 PM

I see you're still waiting for Vandy as well. So nice for them to wait until we've already made decisions. I don't get it. Harvard told me it never got my dean's certification.

Wake Bound
Saturday, October 22 2005 at 08:00 PM

Hey, I saw on LawSchoolDiscussion that you're headed to Wake next year, as am I. Congrats. The class is something like 160 and I'm coming from Michigan, so I'd like to get to kinda know some people before I go. Hit me up on email or something if you care to. Again, congrats and Go Deacs.

Vandy WL
Saturday, November 19 2005 at 07:00 PM

I got the Vandy WL letter on Friday. I can't believe you're still waiting when other superior schools have already accepted you.

Tuesday, August 23 2005 at 08:00 PM

Looking quite forward to it. Except driving back and forth looking for an apartment is getting old, so I'm glad I found a place (in the same complex as KnockKnock, incidentally). So moving down May 8 and life is looking good. I bet you are excited to get to Wake. I saw where you had posted on LSD looking for fellow Wake Alums-To-Be... When you heading over that way?

Congrats on Vandy
Tuesday, August 23 2005 at 08:00 PM

Although you knew you'd get in... lol. How nice they were really surprised me... I expected from their preppy private school rep for them to be stuck up and rude...but quite the opposite is true. Then again, kinda heard the same things about Wake, and they were really nice.

Vandy- Finally
Saturday, November 19 2005 at 07:00 PM

Congrats- I knew Vandy would be crazy not to accept you. What's up with Harvard, though?

Harvard
Saturday, January 07 2006 at 07:00 PM

Hey. Congrats on your many acceptancess!! I was wondering though whether you had been placed on hold for Harvard or whether today was the first word you had heard from them. Amazing acceptances! Thanks for the help.

hey
Monday, March 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

sorry, i know you have gotten probably a million questions about wake so far. do you think the campus had a good sense of community to it? Im on the preferred wl and should get in after the next round of admits, but Im trying to decide between there and GMU. I got a bad feel from GMU but job opportunities are amazing. I told me mom to decide for me and she couldnt, so im trying to get feedback from other future 1ls. ps. congrats on UVA, you kick ass :) its gotta feel great even though you arent going :)

hey :)
Monday, March 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

Umm... I really think I should have gotten in when the deferral decision came back. My bet is now that I hear from them right after the second deposit, so probably June 4th or 5th. I think I am gonna end up at GWU though. I eventually wanna do the big firm thing in DC so I can build a reputation for myself and set things up for a political career and GW is ideal for that. The only thing that might sway me away is an acceptance and money from w&m, but i still dont know. What made you choose wfu over uva and unc?
