How did you get so many fee waivers? Were they unsolicited?

5-7 were CRS through LSAC and hidden. The rest were emailed, mailed, or received at the LSAC forum.

got it! ok! i have a couple friends there actually. that was was my 2nd choice for undergrad, its a beautiful school. the school i'm at: your football team came and played ours for the first game of the season our mascot is on the endangered list i'm just an hour and a half north on i-35 :)

and i dont really have a number one. im just waiting to see where i get in. im scared to get my hopes set on a school and then get rejected. after my reject from ou, i feel like this cycle is going to be a lot more unpredictable than i had originally anticipated. what about you?

seriously? i didnt realize their residency quota was so intense! howd you find that out? that makes me feel TONS better, thanks :) i think im going to apply to a few more schools once im finished with finals. any suggestions? i was thinking about florida coastal, hofstra, and regent since they sent me fee waivers, but i'd like some others...

lol sorry I hurt your feelings sir. Didnt know that not applying to 50+ schools was being cliche, but I guess i kinda see your point about not wanting to get rejected from every school. The name calling was not necessary, hopefully ull be able to keep it together in the court room

Jeeez. Man, never did I say that you obviously didnt know what you want, nor did I say that name calling was your last resort. I said it looks like you didnt really know what you wanted because you applied to so many law schools, many of which that seemed to be very different from one another. Never did I accuse you of anything; I simply stated an opinion which I hardly think is out of line considering that is one of the reasons this site exists. You know yourself the best obviously and you stated your reasons for applying to so many. The only thing that was out of line was you calling me an asshole for having an opinion on you applying to what seemed to be an excessive amount of schools. I felt I was being honest, but I guess maybe a little bit too blunt for your liking. I wasnt trying to attack you, as it seems like you have assumed I didnt think it would be such an issue, nor did I anticipate it starting a heated dialogue on the subject. I wish you luck at getting into your top schools and I apologize for any grief that I may have caused you in your pursuit at attaining your legal education.

i cant believe nobody has heard back from tech yet!! last year ppl on LSN started getting responses in november. the suspense is killing me!! this better not be a bad sign ;)

Hey man, Yeah my bad i didnt mean to sound like such an ass. And after you explaining it, its really not that unreasonable. Above all else what we all want is to go to Law school, and honestly if a bunch of school start rejecting me, ill probably start scrambling to apply to some more safety schools, but by that time it may already be too late, so i can def see your reasoning. But the good news is that at the very least we both know at this point we can at least go to law school somewhere

yeah, i got that email about 2 weeks ago. i've been frantically checking my mailbox about 3 times a day since then. i agree, i'd rather get an acceptance in january opposed to a rejection now!! did you see that Ninja1 was accepted today? looks like tech is using some interesting strategy about getting seat deposits in extra early this year

On the UH status checker, where'd you hear that? Are you going by the date posted on the page? - If so, applicants were getting decisions despite the date not changing from Dec. 18 in weeks.

the info. I'll probably cut back to checking 1-5 times a day, but that's better than on the hour :) Baylor - so I'm sure you've seen all the boot camp law students marching around on campus. I still haven't been up there, but heard it's a beautiful school. Hopefully my first trip up will be for an ASW. Best of luck to you too. Being a splitter, I'm sure you felt like you had to cast a wide net, but do have preference in school location?

I just got an acceptance from Baylor with $ and am reading through past Baylor TLS threads. I read somewhere that you have a couple of friends who regret choosing Baylor over SMU/UH. Mind elaborating? You posted a bunch of your impressions of the school already, but anything will help :) This whole deciding on law school thing was fun for a second, but is becoming way too real! Good Luck on the rest of your cycle, I didn't think I'd find someone who applied to more schools than me. Creighton is a decent school so you've got to be happy about that one although I'm sure you're hoping for more acceptances. Hope the cycle treats you good!

I can't believe Tulsa rejected! That low GPA is a killer, but it looks like your still having a great cycle. On top of that when you submit your grades for this term you should show significant forward progress, which means a lot. Good luck, you doing really good so far

Dude, congrats on all those schools you got in. My numbers are very similar to yours. I like your shotgun approach. I think people with GPA like ours are just happy to go to any law school especially with scholarship. I decided on LS late (February LSAT). I will do the same thing you do. But I don't think i have time to send out 50 applications, maybe 20.

CONGRATS on Arkansas-Fayetteville! thats very very exciting! i went and visited a few months ago, and its a beautiful state and school. were you aware they were still actively considering you even though they rejected you in december, or was the acceptance and scholarship a complete surprise? what have you narrowed your choices down to now?
