Limited in where I want to go. If I don't get any, I'll just do something else. I am DONE applying. Now, I just sit and wait.....and hope.

2/12
Received the rejection letter from U of L. It was dated the 6th. Look below. Sigh.
2/6
Finally got around to e-mailing U of L to see if I was complete. They said it was complete and they would be sending it to committee in a few weeks? Huh? I'll probably get a letter in the mail tomorrow.
1/28
Reject from UK. Normal letter. It was a little too much to hope for. Remember kiddies, study for the LSAT. Three more to go.
1/11
Not so good news. Received a normal letter sized envelope from Loyola. It's okay, but it does sting a bit.
Only 4 more to go.
1/7
Update! Yay, finally received some kind of news. Received an acceptance letter from Toledo today. Normal sized white envelope dated January 3rd.
Although, it was to this "reduced load, transitional program." What in the world is that?
12/26
Received a letter dated the 19th from UNLV saying that my application is complete and that most decisions are given out in April. That's a loooooong time.
12/18 Just saw that the schools I applied to have a grid on the LSAC guide to schools. Wow, was that some depressing stuff or what?
12/15
Rejected from Depaul. Not too shocking, but it does sting a little. It was a small plain white envelop dated the 10th. Only 6 more decisions to go.
12/13
Received my first acceptance. Even though I probably won't go there(too expensive) it is nice to be accepted. It was a plain yellowish regular sized envelope.
12/10
Another day, another received e-mail. This time from UNLV. At least I'll never get another received e-mail.
12/05
I accidentally ordered another report, so I figured I may as well use it. Applied to UNLV even though they are notoriously against out of staters. Applied because I have lots of family there, too bad I couldn't claim residency from them.
12/04
Yay, Finally all of my schools have requested reports. Also, UK sent me a packet to prove my residency. It looks way more complicated than any application.
11/28
Another day, another e-mail saying I'm complete. This time it's Wayne State. And, of course, still nothing from U of L.
11/27
Received e-mail from Kent saying that I was complete. How come U of L is taking forever?
11/26
Finally, my first complete. Still wondering what's up with UL?
11/20
Received e-mail from UK saying they received my application.
11/16
Applied to U. of Toledo because I could.
11/14
Sent application to Wayne State because I received a fee waiver. Yay!
11/14
One more to Loyola.
11/13
Sent application to UK and Kent
11/12
Sent application to U of L
11/08
Sent out my first application to Depaul. I've officially begun.
10/24
Everything is almost ready. All I have left to do is update my personal statement.
Took LSAT 09/07. Royally screwed up the LSAT. I knew I should have cancelled.
Hey man, good luck to you as well. Here are some schools I know that have free apps: University of the Pacific University of Toledo (Both on their website, not LSAC) University of Dayton University of Akron Case Western Reserve Florida Coastal Drake Hofstra Ohio Northern Thats really all I can think of.
- rightlawthanks for the message, best of luck to you as well! perhaps we'll be classmates next year at loyola!
- kmhenry42to you too!!! I did apply to both schools ED. They call it "Early Decision" but neither was binding.
- slc13Good luck to you!!! :)
- PinkTikiGood luck to you this cycle too!
- jalex519Tough choice... I'm not really sure, probably FSU.
- lukecwatersI hope you do well also. We should start a 150+ club!
- new211twice is always better
- new211good luck to you too, steveclank. i'll be keeping my own tabs on your progress.
- besplendorGood luck to you too!
- HafskenGood luck to you as well! Loyola, Depaul and Chicago-Kent are all good schools and Chicago is undoubtedly a great city. Hopefully, we'll both hear back from them soon.
- lawesomeGood luck to you too! History majors should stick together.
- Gizmo212What's up? I noticed you spent two years in Japan. I'm currently living there myself. I was working for Nova until it collapsed upon itself. I'm hoping the Japan experience helps out with the applications. Good luck with your apps!
- ROL877Chicago is an awesome city and I think you have a good shot at the schools you have applied to! What kind of law would you like to practice?
- msuindigoyea i hoped getting everything out early would help...all this waiting really blows. Thanks for the encouragement, good luck to you too!
- dnozzleThanks for the congrats! Good luck to you as well : )
- maria3Thanks for the wishes, Steve. Good luck to you as well. I know MANY MANY people at the chicago schools on your list and they are all very happy. I am from chicago and it is a truly great place to live/study. You will not be dissappointed if you end up here. **fingers crossed as we start to hear respnsonses** Matt
- arcusprotusthanks much, and good luck to you as well. I am really counting on soft factors, but who knows. Loyola Chicago also has a free app. if you complete it on line.
- dslipIndeed, Thank you, seems as we might be contestants at the Chicago schools, your LSAT bruises mine by far so you might reign supreme. Good luck and keep me posted!
- beattyotThank you. Good luck to you as well!
- gainesville84I studied in Australia
- dcpi23U of L has requested my report. They did so very quickly after I sent in my application. I'm not sure why they would have requested mine so quickly, but still have not requested yours. Wish I had some better advice for you.
- dcpi23Good luck to you. Maybe I'll see you on one of the Chicago campuses in the fall.
- jdub85You should contact U of L and check on your app because when I send mine, they responded with an email within just a couple of days. That was about a month ago though, and maybe they are a lot busier now. I'd follow up just to be safe.
- elykinsThanks man, good luck to you, too. I studied for a semester in Amsterdam last spring.
- smc5001Thanks man. Good luck to you as well.
- pittsburghpenguinActually that's just the day they requested my report from LSDAS. Those are the dates on my rec'd column.
- triz35Best of luck to you too, solidarity with history majors, I say ;)
- LexiCatGood luck to you, too. I haven't heard anything from Louisville yet, except that they received my application. I don't even know if it's complete yet.
- laurenzehrThat's just the date from my LSDAS page. I assumed that they have everything because I know I sent everything. I just registered this account today and didn't know this site existed until last night. I haven't received an email yet, although I have from others. Is LSDAS not an accurate timetable?
- marshalldI just went back through my email since I applied and I actually have not received any communication from them, I guess I just assumed I had since I had heard from everyone else to at least confirm receit of my application. Sorry.
- laurenzehrApplication Twin! Thanks for the supposrt. I hope we both do well! Maybe we'll see eachother in the fall!
- Dlc5949Best of luck to you as well! Keep me updated on how this round goes for you....at least you're ahead of me; I don't think my apps will be done for another week or two.
- blueibaby03Best of luck to you as well! Keep me updated on how this round goes for you....at least you're ahead of me; I don't think my apps will be done for another week or two.
- blueibaby03Thanks, man! good luck to you too!
- yavrum76just wanted to let you know, Louisville just sent me an email saying they received my application (even though they actually got it almost a month ago) and that they will soon be requesting my LSDAS report (also done a month ago) and that my application is complete if it is complete with LSAC, which it is. I think they might have just started reviewing Dec. 1st and that's why everything's been delayed...
- laurenzehrThank you for your comment. I wish you the best of luck in this process as well!
- down2earthgood luck bro!!
- jamestran8888Thanks for the good luck wishes, hopefully we will both be getting some good news soon!
- mattak17I see we're applying to similar schools too, best of luck to you.
- hansepeAt least you live in KY, should give you a better shot.
- lukecwatersYeah, I hope you get in man! Ugh, I'm worried now I won't get in anywhere. I'm gunnin' for Loyola now. Maybe we'll both end up there. Cheers.
- samsdeadfishclubLouisville emailed me on Dec 3rd about having recieved materials. Good luck to you
- anrogers1Good luck to you also. Where is your top choice?
- szweigi know, right? guess what DePaul..i didn't even WANT to go there! I forgot I applied! hahaha the only bad thing about this is that it doesnt bode well for my loyola admission. no. POSITIVE THINKING! +++
- FaustWhich one is your top? Thanks about Depaul, its ok but as 'Faust' denoted it means Loyola will slap me too. John Marshall is still a possibility though until it loves/leaves me...
- beattyotYeah, but I had the same response from them last year. For me, it's as good as a rejection since I'll get no money off the waitlist. I'm hoping for one of the catholic e-mails today, but I feeling kind of down about it now since I haven't gotten one yet and it's 2:00p.m.
- bonafortunaomnibusYeah Thanks. Good luck with all your applications. Atleast my GPA should rise significantly after the semester is over.
- marti154congrats on the acceptance, even if you don't go there
- hansepeIt's rough man. I didn't really want to go to DePaul and it stung, probably because I haven't actually gotten an acceptance yet.
- hansepeHey, I'm really sorry about DePaul. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you the others.
- bonafortunaomnibusSorry about depaul also. Good luck for the rest of them.
- szweigsorry bout DePaul. im still waiting. I applied to loyola too....though I need my dec. scores for sure. I am around the same as you (though i SEVERELY bombed sept). haha good luck in your cycle-you should apply to case western. no fee...
- pomrlawSteve, I'm really sorry to hear about DePaul. But never fear becasue when one door closes another one opens! Good luck with the rest of the cycle.
- dlc5949Im pretty suprised you got rejected by depaul. That also makes me incredibly nervous since our numbers are pretty similar. :-/
- LexiCatI got me rejection from Kentucky today, I'm glad to see you're still alive.
- hansepeWe have very similar numbers. I got rejected from Depaul as well. Screw em! Good luck with loyola and Kent!!!!
- larapooh22Thank you for the well wishes, and I hope your application process goes well also. Is your first choice Louisville? My undergrad offers free housing to anyone that goes to UK, so it's my first choice. However, if it was not for this, UofL would definately be at the top of my list. Anyways, I just wanted to wish you good luck!
- wildcatfan01Good reason! I love Louisville. I try to get up there as much as I can; the center for the arts is an irrestible attraction to me. :) Best of luck! I'm sure you'll get into UofL... if they ever decide to start making decisions that is!
- wildcatfan01I called them. I guess they weren't going to let me know it had gone on to committee. It took a long time for them to request my report too.
- dgmess01Didn't day when they'd start sending out decisions. I *do* know that they didn't start reviewing files until January. I'm guessing it'll be the end of the month before anyone gets anything. Esp. looking at past cycles. I passed by UNLV while I was attending a Bachelor party in Vegas. I think it would be a weird/crazy place to live for any length of time, but kind of cool too. Southwest has a direct flight in case you're thinking of visiting the campus.
- dgmess01I called them on the 15th to see if my file had gone complete, since I had not heard anything from them. I was told that my file was "being reviewed" and that I should hear from them within the next 10 days. That makes since when you look at the first decision dates from last cycle. Thought you might want to know.
- dcpi23Thanks! I Hadn't heard anything from them since I went complete and then got a small envelope today in the mail from them. Good luck! Are you hoping to stay in Louisville?
- laurenzehrI hate to say it, but money is a factor. I'd love to go to Vandy. It's my first choice, but I'm not sure if they're as generous with their money as Wash U is...I've still got my fingers crossed, though.
- laurenzehrThanks for the congrats! Good luck on the rest of your cycle! Are you hoping to stay in Louisville? I own a home there, and would like to go back soon.
- raspswlgrlLame on Kentucky, I was pulling for you
- hansepeI heard about UofL through a letter that they sent through the mail. They informed me that my application has been placed on hold
- mustang18girlI'm so sorry about Louisville. Are you going to accept one of the other offers?
- laurenzehrI'm sorry to hear that. I haven't made my decision yet. I'm still waiting to hear about financial aid from a few schools.
- laurenzehrYou've been complete at CK for a while, have you gotten a decision but not updated? If not, have they indicated when you might expect one? Thanks!
- dgmess01hope we both get into unlv. every program could do with some more history majors.
- blackfox4242Might have sent you this off list, but be a little wary of WSU. <a href="http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,104032.10.html" title="http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,104032.10.html" class="data">http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,104032.10.html</a> FYI
- WSUAlum1As you probably know, Toledo is tied for 108 (US News), and will likely return to T2 soon. Wayne is tied for 125, and won't get there. <a href="http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,104552.msg5081757.html#msg5081757" title="http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,104552.msg5081757.html#msg5081757" class="data">http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,104552.msg5081757.html#msg5081757</a> Got my fingers crossed for Chi-Kent.
- WSUAlum1I checked full time preferred so I'm not sure if they are considering me for both or what. I would do either because Louisville is my only choice.
