*All scholarship amounts are over 3 years*

11/7/07 - I'm anxiously awaiting confirmation that my application files are complete. Loyola has everything, now I'm just waiting on the others. I'm really hoping that my soft factors and being a WI resident will help overcome some pretty mediocre numbers.

11/13/07 - Sent in application to Oregon yesterday. It's going to be a long, painstaking wait until those notifications come!

11/15/07 - Checked my PO box yesterday, thinking perhaps Marquette would have sent something. They did alright...a postcard saying they have received my application! haha...more of the waiting game!

11/29/07 - Called Marquette to check and see if the y had reviewed my application, only to go to the post office later and find that not only had they reviewed it, they offered me admission! First one! Woooo hooo!

12/06/07 - Called SLU because I hadn't heard peep from them. Turns out I'm complete and should be heading to committee soon.

Complete everywhere. More waiting....

12/12/07 - In at Loyola!!!!

12/17/07 - Just got a follow-up email from Loyola, reassuring me that I have been accepted. Apparently, the mail is backed up with the holidays and all, so it was pretty thoughtful of them to send that out to all of us paranoid applicants...Merry Xmas everyone!

12/20/07 - Congrats to those who got accepted at UW!

01/08/08 - Still no correspondence from SLU, so I called to check what has been going on. They said a decision has been made on my application and I should be hearing soon. Checked my mail later that day and, boom, there was a big white envelope with good news!

01/15/08 - I'm not sure, but I think I'm in at Denver. The status checker, which had previously only allowed me to check application status, is now allowing me to register for classes and make payments....but who know, probably just wishful thinking.

01/18/08 - In at Denver via email! Very exciting, 4 for 4! Hopefully I'll hear from UW next week...the wait continues!

01/23/08 - $15,000/yr. scholly from Denver via mail! Very excited about this development!

01/23/08 - (later that day) IN AT UW!!!! MY DREAM SCHOOL CAME THROUGH!!!! GAME, SET, MATCH!

They send you an email with a link to an online status checker. I have been emailing back and forth with admissions because the website said I was incomplete and they said they were a little behind and should be caught up by the end of the week. I am really hoping for DU as I want to be in Colorado big time. Good luck dude, if you get into UW maybe you can loan a GPA point.

applied to a million law schools (approximately)... but in my heart, I am a true midwesterner, and would love nothing more than an acceptance letter from Wisconsin. Or Iowa. Or Ohio. Somewhere that's not California-- although California has been a good home to me for the past few years. But I digress. Good luck!! I hope you get into Wisconsin... and everywhere else.

Yeah, those emails were amusing. I ended up getting a snail mail letter. It was dated Dec 3rd and postmarked Dec 13th. Not really sure what made it took 10 days to actually get it sent, but whatever. UW email systems either selectively blocks WUSTL emails or WUSTL hasn't quite figured their system out yet... And hopefully UW gets it together soon...

MN right now. Reciprocity + 10k/year is very attractive. I've enjoyed my time at Madison quite a bit, but I definitely think I need to see another campus for a few years. I'd be more than happy with pretty much any school on my list. I love the midwest, and I'm unsure if I can see myself leaving the region. The only schools outside the midwest I even applied to are Berkeley, Cornell, and UT. Even if accepted to one of those, it would be a tough region to leave! Any preferences yourself? 2 in the bag and I'm sure there will be a few more soon enough! (especially if UW gets on it soon)

I don't have any work experience. So I figured they were way out of my league. I really had planned on applying, but alas, it's a bit too late now. I'm almost glad I didn't...a friend is there for a MS/possible PhD program and doesn't like the campus as much as UW. A friends sister also goes to UG there, and she doesn't enjoy the atmosphere. Oh! Good luck! I've been checking your list every day. No news on my end. Waiting for another LOR (been almost 3 months, so I've about given up), that I MAY need to go complete at Boalt and Cornell. Would suck if that kept me from knowing. Not really sure if I would go to either, as I kind of enjoy the Midwest, and staying here seems like a fun idea. A Texas accept would be sweet, though.
