And so will you the rest of the cycle! I hope we both get into Stanford, for example. Our ultra-ORM status in California will definitely work to our advantage...! :o
columbia Thursday, November 2nd, 2006 at 8:29 am
I hope we both get into Columiba through ED. Ha...
Best of luck.
Best of luck.
Good Luck Friday, November 3rd, 2006 at 10:25 pm
on your apps. I'm sure you'll be getting a Duke acceptance next week. You and I are the only LSDers spending an exciting Friday night on lsn. :-)
Columbia! Monday, November 6th, 2006 at 4:11 pm
Good Luck on Columbia ED! Hope to see you in the fall :)
In the Bag Wednesday, November 8th, 2006 at 1:53 pm
You've got reaches, targets, and safeties, and a nice T14 acceptance already. I don't think you need luck to have a great cycle, so I'll just wish you quick responses to your applications.

Congratulations on being in at two awesome schools already. I'm sure the rest of your cycle will be just as awesome.
Sweet Tuesday, November 14th, 2006 at 2:52 pm
Congrats on the two acceptances. Off to a solid start. I don't know about you, but I've lost all motivation to do work ever since getting my first.
Congrats! Friday, November 17th, 2006 at 5:19 pm
on the Toby call email. That's a sweet deal, looks like someone in Cambridge likes you. Best of luck!
Thanks! Monday, November 20th, 2006 at 7:55 pm
And right back at you! Do you have a first choice?
thanks Tuesday, November 21st, 2006 at 4:14 pm

Congrats on your acceptances as well! My cycle isn't over yet, I have the rest of my applications hidden :P.
hello! Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 at 6:45 pm

mimi Thursday, November 23rd, 2006 at 5:56 pm
I didn't know you were Korean! Well at first (waayyyy back) I thought you were because of your last name, but for some reason, when I met you, I thought you were from Hong Kong. :o If you are from Montana, do you know this girl name Alice Yoo by any chance? She's a cellist from Montana and just about your age. But maybe this is a dumb question! :P Anywho. :)
Congrats Friday, November 24th, 2006 at 8:05 pm
I'm sure the T-Stock call went well. This is great news. Thanks for the support, hopefully we'll be sharing the same victories this cycle. Best of luck!
MT girl Saturday, November 25th, 2006 at 12:00 am
She's from Bozeman. I of course have no clue where that is. :D
I don't know! You had lotsa spunk! That may have been why. All the girls I know who are from Hong Kong have spunk. But you are much sweeter than them, that's for sure. :)

I guess we're among the lucky few in the low 170s Harvard is interested in...I'm getting my TStock call later this week.
Harvard vs Columbia Tuesday, November 28th, 2006 at 11:28 pm
A good choice to have! That TS, always a troublemaker. I don't really have a top choice, but if Penn would like to accept me and throw in some $$, I would be a happy camper!
omy Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 at 2:10 am
i went decision at MICH online and i dunno what to think, but looks like ill be hearing soon......and you posted wishes of a speedy decision....coincidence? i think not. haha !!

Curious Monday, December 11th, 2006 at 3:44 am

Stanford Sunday, December 17th, 2006 at 3:19 pm

BU/BC Thursday, December 21st, 2006 at 7:59 pm
congrats on both! where are you in boston? i'm at northeastern.
how about boalt? Tuesday, December 26th, 2006 at 8:15 pm
i noticed boalt isn't on the list...w/ur numbers, you would most likely get in.
beaner Wednesday, December 27th, 2006 at 9:31 pm
Congrats on your multiple acceptances. Do you want to stay in Boston for law school?
thanks! Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007 at 2:48 pm
I'm still in the 'relieved its over' mode, but I'll by excited soon enough. Hope the rest of your cycle goes swimmingly!
thanks :-) Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007 at 6:42 pm
I'm using the free time before school starts to read everything I can about Stanford and Harvard. It's between them and Michigan, right now. My dad says take the money and run, my mom's into prestige, and I'm just lost.
=) Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 at 2:49 pm
Thanks for the good words!
I am super excited about Chicago. I've read your posts a few times at LSD. You're definitely a REALLY helpful person.
Congrats on BC, BU and all them good schools!
You'll hear from more; I guarantee it~

I missed... Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 at 1:45 am
...the GW acceptance. Congrats! I think HLS is just "holding" you because they want to be closer to you. Like all hugs, they have to let go eventually.
THANKS! Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 at 10:25 pm
Thanks so much! I'm completely undecided between them. I'll visit Boalt in April & then wait for the fin. aid mailings to make up my mind. Congrats on your LONG & growing list of acceptances! :-) How are you going to be narrowing down your choices?
No, thank YOU! Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 at 11:40 pm
My profile felt so bare before, but it is now complete. I'm glad to hear I made it to your AIM. One day, I'll even make it to someone's LSD sig. Well, at least I can dream...
w00t! Friday, January 26th, 2007 at 1:28 am
Hi mpark!
Just, I haven't said hi in a long time. :) Hope everything's going well and you're having a blast in your last semester. I miss Boston! Enjoy it!! :D :-*

Right now I'm leaning toward HLS. In fact, I'm alsmost certain that's where I'll be next year, though a YLS acceptance might shake things up, though luckily for me that would be so incredibly unlikely that the decision is practically made for me (wow, saying getting rejected from YLS would be "lucky" should be counted as a sign of dementia...).
Anyway, good luck with the remainder of the cycle. I hope you end up in my class.

Chicago! Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 at 12:42 pm
Congrats on Chicago!!! Maybe we'll end up at the same place? What are your thoughts on the school? Although, I'm still dying to hear from UVA...wonder what's taking them so long for both of us?
hmm Sunday, February 4th, 2007 at 11:51 am
I've had a weak spot for UVA this whole cycle and I am waiting in suspense...but who knows what will happen once I visit these places...what's your #1 choice right now?
hey! Sunday, February 4th, 2007 at 10:48 pm
congratulations on Chicago!!! that is AWESOME!
Congrats! Monday, February 5th, 2007 at 12:13 pm

I look forward to ASW. It'll be a blast!

Harvard Deferral Friday, February 9th, 2007 at 7:02 pm
I'm hoping that Harvard saw something in our apps that it liked and won't just look to pad its LSAT and GPA numbers later in the cycle. So many stellar scores on the deferral list. Did you send them anything after the deferral?
Good luck numbers twin :)
Good luck numbers twin :)
HLS deferral Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 at 5:43 pm
I only sent in a Why Harvard essay. I've been out of school for almost three years, so no new transcripts, and I didn't think another LOR would be a home run or anything.
We seem to be in the same boat re UVA and NYU. I think we've been effectively deferred, though I haven't heard anything official from either of them.
Congrats on Chicago, I wish I had gotten that phone call.

No restraint, huh? I'm so disappointed :-).
Are you going to the UMich admitted students weekend?
Are you going to the UMich admitted students weekend?
P Friday, February 16th, 2007 at 12:48 am
Hmm...maybe. It's tempting since they're offering to pay for airfare and put us up with students.
yale Monday, February 19th, 2007 at 9:28 am
I see you caved in and applied to Yale. Guess all that badgering on LSD helped a little. Congrats on your great cycle!
congrats Monday, February 19th, 2007 at 10:57 am
congrats on u of chicago!! That is absolutely awesome. I couldn't be more jealous ;)
NYU Monday, February 19th, 2007 at 4:24 pm
Hi, just wondering if you've heard anything from NYU since going complete...they seem to have forgotten us.
In any case, best of luck with the Yale app!

Black cats... Friday, March 2nd, 2007 at 2:06 am

Hmm... Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 at 8:55 pm
Didn't that GPA used to be 3.63? Tsk tsk.
Eh Sunday, March 4th, 2007 at 3:02 pm
It's all about Cambridge anyway. I didn't see that you applied to Yale. Just couldn't stand not writing that 250?
Re: Congrats Sunday, March 4th, 2007 at 10:52 pm
Thanks. Nice Yale prediction by the way, Nostradamus.
Holy spamoly eepuhnee Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 at 1:34 pm
You have 15,000+ page views..! Well honestly, it comes as no surprise. A smart, successful and utterly beautiful girl like you will get that kind of attention :)
Thanks for your comments on my page and on LSD. Wish you would have applied to Yale a bit sooner... You would have had your acceptance in hand by now! We could have been making plans for our future, when you wanted to have our first kid etc etc! ;) Just kidding.
Thanks again, you are a sweetheart and a half.

Fellow 86'er? Thursday, March 8th, 2007 at 3:54 am
I'm guessing the 86 is your birth year. Are you 21 yet? I'm a January '86er so I'm probably older than you. I'm another Krn too. Good luck with the rest of your cycle. I hope Harvard snaps you up!
chicago Thursday, March 8th, 2007 at 8:39 pm
I didn't apply ED anywhere because I procrastinated too much... I didn't even start working on my apps til I got my sept lsat score.
But really, I didn't even realize how much I loved Chicago til I visited there in January--after my app was already submitted. I'm glad to have a chance to prove myself to them, and I feel somewhat optimistic.

Congrats on UChi! I'm surprised NYU hasn't accepted you yet, and even more surprised by the UVA/Columbia waitlists. Good luck with Harvard and Yale!
Well... Sunday, March 11th, 2007 at 2:58 pm
I wanted to give people an actual list of my preferences, and I would go to Yale before Chicago or Columbia.
Also, when did you hear about Chicago's $$ offer? I really think getting money from them would seal my affection for Chicago over Columbia, but I haven't heard anything (although I haven't been getting mail this last week, long story). Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you send me an email with details wrt the offer.

Congrats from a fellow Montanan! I applied ED to Chicago since it has been my dream school for awhile. I like the small class size and can't wait to learn from the excellent profs. Hope to see you at ASW!
hey Monday, March 12th, 2007 at 8:44 pm
I have been/will be visiting lots of schools this week. I am stressing out quite a bit over this decision and have no decided yet. So far it's probably between hastings, davis and bc. Hopefully ucla or harvard will admit me soon so i don't have to make this decision lol.
How is your decision coming? Sounds like you're leaning toward chicago. That would be an amazing school to be at. Oh and how is your spring break coming? Doing anything special?

Montana Tuesday, March 13th, 2007 at 12:52 am
Without getting too specific, I'm from a tiny town in northeastern Montana. Basically...the middle of nowhere. What about you?
Yes sir Tuesday, March 13th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
I'm definitely sending in additional materials. I'm debating on the essay though because I'm afraid that my political biases will come through both of them and do more harm than good, but we'll see. I am sending an updated transcript and another letter of recommendation from my professor that's working on my capstone paper with me. Congrats on the scholarship. Hopefully I'll see in Chicago this fall. Maybe you can call the dean and put in a good word for me??
Thanks! Wednesday, March 14th, 2007 at 9:32 am
Yeah, it sucks. I prolly wouldn't have gone to Yale but I'm a bit miffed to be rejected so early in the process (for them). Oh well, I'm thankful for the great options that I have.
You've also got a ton of great schools to choose from. Where are you leaning towards?

So what's your first choice now? I see you've withdrawn a few apps.
Chi aid Friday, March 16th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
Yay! No word from Mich yet?
Jealous? Friday, March 16th, 2007 at 7:34 pm
Well, I'm jealous of your Chicago acceptance. You have no idea how happy I'd be to get a Chicago or NYU (esp. NYU) acceptance this weekend.
no idea yet myself Friday, March 16th, 2007 at 9:25 pm
I'm still holding out for SU and U of Hawaii. I'll be at the SLU ASW on the 23rd and the 24th, visiting SU on the 26th, and visiting Willamette on the 29th.
Hopefully, after I visit those schools, it'll become a lot clearer on which one I want to go to.

Yale Monday, March 26th, 2007 at 10:41 pm
The Yale e-mail, in my opinion, is a good sign. Another friend of mine, with outstanding stats, got the same e-mail. I'm under the impression that they are giving your application further consideration.
At least it's not an outright rejection.
At least it's not an outright rejection.
bummer Tuesday, March 27th, 2007 at 5:12 pm
Too bad about Harvard, I was rooting for you! Good luck in Chicago, but I hope you don't rule out NYU.
Hey You! Thursday, March 29th, 2007 at 12:03 pm
I haven't been on LSN in what feels like years... But I'm glad to see that our hours of boredom seemed to have paid off, good luck with what I'm sure is shaping up to be a very tough decision for you... But remember, it's a good problem to have :)
H Saturday, March 31st, 2007 at 5:22 pm
Fuck 'em. That is all.
Well... Thursday, April 5th, 2007 at 4:44 pm
...are you going? If you go, I'll go. ;)
Seriously, it's hard to ignore the fact that the prestige difference matters little unless I want to go into academia. Which I probably do, eventually. But still.

Promise? Thursday, April 5th, 2007 at 6:07 pm
That's a pretty strong word. Especially considering the bucks that GULC just threw my way. GULC has a stronger IP program than Mich (by leaps and bounds, really).
hey Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 at 5:18 am
Good luck at Chicago! :-)
